This Morgan Interview was preplanned and staged in an attempt to counteract all the negative things being said about Priscilla’s movie. I am so happy that Danny Smith, Mindi Miller, Linda Thompson, and Ginger Alden have all come out with Statements in defense of Elvis. I hope that more family, friends, and girlfriends they are still here will make statements on Elvis’ behalf.

Absolutely! The questions were all pre chosen by Priscilla herself and she picked the questions herself and planned them all ahead, she even contradicted herself saying Lisa was with her when she found out Elvis died and then said that Lisa called her first or smth it was so strange. I don’t know what she exactly said but she definitely contradicted herself about Lisa and when they found out Elvis died.

I’ve never even thought if I were a fan of hers or not. Back 50 years ago, all we thought about or cared about was ELVIS. She lost Elvis, her grand son her only daughter, She is in the spot light wherever she goes. Even if you’re telling the Gods honest truth anyone would get a few things mixed up, she’s a human being. Tell me what good does it do for Elvis’s memory to continue to put Priscilla on the stand???

She invited public scrutiny by broadcasting to the entire planet, uncorroborated, intimate sexual and personal details about her relationship with Elvis, including allegations of rape. Many of her ‘stories’ are easily refutable lies. Obviously, neither she nor her truth-averse followers has any right to whine.

She was with her Dad but when Priscilla got the phone call, she flew to Graceland and Lisa stayed with her that night. In the morning, when they were going to view the body, Lisa said, "mommy, where are we going"? Priscilla said,, "we are going to see daddy but he is going to be sleeping for a long, long time." So yes she is a habitual liar but she was not lying in this case.

@@dsoule4902 just so you know I’m 80 years old and have more knowledge then you would think. Growing up in the 40’s 50’s and 60’s Was totally different.. if you didn’t grow up and live thru those times you should just be quiet!

I have honestly been saying all of this for years, to be honest I've never trusted much of what she said. She has contridicated herself many times. I read her book in the 80s and said different things over the years. Anita Wood said she found letters from Priscilla begging him to let her come see him and asked him to speak to her parents. I agree her and her parents knew what they were doing. Good work

I heard the exact same, I also heard Priscilla lying about her stepfather to Elvis, claiming that he is an alcoholic and violent and would come to her door and bang on it etc. I can imagine her doing that to gain empathy and make Elvis bring her to Graceland. She tried everything in her power to meet Elvis and marry him. She is a sick and creepy and obsessive women, I have quite literally never seen anything like this. Not even a fan would act like this, this is straight up stalker behavior.

Someone commented on the interview, that Priscilla dated Piers Morgan. If that’s true, that would explain a lot. He was way to nice to her. He’s usually completely different when he talks to people. Also, the story of Lisa riding a golf cart that day is also in Priscilla’s book. I’m glad someone else is critizizing all of this.

I so agree. I have never seen piers so accommodating during an interview. I have always liked how he interviews people cause he asks the questions no one dares too . Look how he got the truth on MM & Harry . What the heck happened here? There were so many questions he could have asked like you asked & said in this video. I say please piers read books on EP past only after that do another revised complementary on this interview. You are a great interviewer that needs a redo here.

I agree 100% with your points. Shes still living off the Presley name. She doesnt even remember her answers to the same question that were asked years ago. Piers this was no interview, he had her back. ❤️🇦🇺

One thing that struck me more than anything David is when you said Elvis was lonely after his beloved mothers death and needed someone to talk to. I found this in my own life but didn't realise how deeply emotionally scrambled I was, which looking back went on for months and months.

It’s evident Piers Morgan didn’t do his due diligence in his research. Many opportunities to confront/clarify Priscilla’s contradictory comments from past interviews to present. As far as the 7-minute standing ovation was attended by Scientologists ( read it elsewhere). Sure wish someone would set the record straight from those that lived with Elvis.

Now that 99% of those in Elvis' orbit, especially the family, are now deceased, she's attempting to rewrite history for the younger generation of Elvis fans. She understands that today's youth won't have the knowledge that we do about the real story so she's solidifying her place in the history of Elvis.

correct. I saw on ElvisLass, a commenter write that a young viewer of this new movie perceives Elvis as a creep, a predator, a pedo, a groomer, a druggie. They extrapolated NONE of the essence of this kind, generous, goodhearted man. Sure he had his demons and flaws. don't we all? even Priscilla. But the reason so many trueblue Elvis fans hate what Priscilla is doing is because we know it does not tell a true story and does not depict the humor and love light Elvis had.

I do believe that Elvis was forced into his marriage with Cilla . I don't like the woman and think she was after him for his fame and money. However Red West never recorded any such words from Elvis. The recording, and I have heard it, is simply about the wedding and the book he and Sonny were writing. Elvis says, "that wedding, that wedding thing". Red says there is nothing in the book that is really bad, and Elvis replies "you have to do what you have to do " So, Elvis refers to the wedding, but he at no stage says He was forced into it , even though as I have stated, I believe he was.

Her daddy only threatened Elvis because Elvis approached Priscilla's parents while in Germany and asked if they would send Priscilla to the USA when she was 16. The contract stated that Priscilla would live with Elvis' parents and finish her education, and that Elvis would marry her when she was of age. Her parents were idiots to even consider this. Elvis more so. As his career skyrocketed, and he was having affairs with so many women, he desperately tried to get out of the contract. I wouldn't give Red West any credibility. It was his book "Elvis What Happened", published about a week before Elvis died, which helped push him over the edge.

She was an adult, and far prettier than Prissy. She looked just like Marilyn Monroe and had far more in common with Elvis. She is a wicked gold digger. She made Elvis burn over 200 of his favorite reference books, isolated him from friends. It has always been about the money!

I started to watch this interview but couldn't get through all the BS. I read Priscilla's book which was shocking. She revealed so many intimate details that one day her daughter might read. I lost all respect for her the. I also read Child Bride which was a real eye opener. I agree with you about Priscilla keeping herself in the limelight and it is constant. Piers is a UK journalist. He wouldn't know all the details. He was given a list of questions to ask her because he doesn't know anything about Elvis etc. Even if he did, he was paid WELL to do an extremely SOFT interview to try to rehabilitate Priscilla from the horror of suing her daughters will, and.... what a witch she was putting Riley, her own granddaughter, through that while she was grieving and making a series etc.

My 80yr old Mother is still fuming over this interview! Mum adores Elvis to this day, thinks Linda Thompson is lovely, but Priscilla... Sure I heard Lisa-Marie talk about being ushered away when Elvis was found and phoning Linda to tell her Daddy was dead? I give Priscilla credit for opening Graceland. His legacy deserves and required a focal point. Even if her motive was money, ultimately she did the right thing for fans. But she's not Royalty, just living off the reflected glory of the King.

it was vernons wish and idea to open Graceland as a museum he had already put the plans in place. Also with the ok from the mayor of Memphis they were both going to finalize the plan but Vernon died.Priscilla manipulated Vernon on his Death bed to put her in charge

I think Morgan was paid off and told exactly what questions to ask and exactly what to say. For example that Royalty BS etc. Anything to make her look good.

I believe you are right about everything. I read a couple of books. She laughed at him and fat shamed him. And yes cheated. She is his exwife, not his widow. Im embarrassed for her, with all her lies. And Lisa was with him when he died. Not her.

I agree with you. There were so many parts of that interview that were not true. Maybe she thought people would forget how it really was after all these years. We don't forget.

That was the softest interview I've heard Piers Morgan do. It was a rehabilitation interview from suing Lisa's will, by suing her own granddaughter, making it all public in the media, and not talking at all about Lisa. Lisa died and Priscilla monopolized the media with suing Lisa's will. She never said one thing about Lisa. Even at her funeral. She read something Findley wrote about Lisa to the mourners. The media picked it up that Priscilla said it, not that she was reading Findley's text. She let everyone give her credit for it but She has never said anything specifically complimentary about Lisa. I personally feel that when Elvis said, "Lisa is the love of my life". Priscilla began hating her as SHE thought SHE was the love of Elvis' life. She was a horrible mother. Not a good grandmother. She's a Narcissistic fake, who only cares about one person. That is herself. Not even Navarone. She lied to him, and he ended up hating Lisa his whole life. Still does. His father was the one who told Lisa Siegel, her accountant, and her mother were trying to bankrupt Graceland. Where is Marco? Who knows? But he probably had to sign an NDA that he would never talk about Priscilla. When she's gone how many people will be alive to tell what they could not tell their whole lives about what they know about Priscilla?

I agree I don't understand how Pricilla forgot Lisa Marie was at Graceland when her dad passed away.Either she is confused or she is trying to rewrite history which would not surprise me. In her movie the actress is only 4'10" tall and the guy playing Elvis is 6'5" tall . Elvis was 6ft tall and Pricilla is 5'4" tall . I know what Coppola was trying to do, make Elvis look like this giant predator over poor little Pricilla , it's unfair to Elvis to portray him like that, she had a certain agenda with this movie and making Elvis 6'5" tall just proves this . I find the timing of this movie questionable. The movie is based on an oldbook with nothing new. I see $$ is all she is interested in. She wanted the fame and publicity. She was no angel and had other relationships and another child after her marriage to Elvis was over. Please get over yourself Priscilla. I do not believe she was the love of his life. Perhaps Linda Thompson who really took care of him was.

From what I’ve heard from his colleagues at the army, he was just nice to her. In the sense that, he was completely indifferent towards her and just saw her as a friend or another fan. Some mention he did felt uncomfortable with her appearing out of nowhere and always following him. Although, I think he made a big mistake by underestimating her, her ambition, and her mentality. He probably thought she was harmless or simply another intense fan, but he was wrong.

Thank you so much David for exposing her for the person she really is. She has always exploited the Presley name to her benefit and for profit. She is a very devious person and throughout the years that has come through. There was a reason Elvis did not want her to continue using the Presley name. And there was a reason Lisa Marie removed her from her will and as trustee of EPE. Thank you for this. 👏👏🥰

So, why wasn't she asked more legitimate questions that would have shown her negatively? I haven't seen anyone discussing that this was (in my opinion) an attempt to stop the negative press she was getting about the film. Personally, I think the interview was totally orchestrated, questions probably discussed before they even started shooting, in an attempt to stop the bleeding that was coming from us outraged fans. It didn't work (at least for those of us who know the real history). It certainly made me even more disgusted. Thank you for doing this overview. Great job.

@@debra2700 this is an extremely prescient point. Deep down Priscilla hates Elvis. She hates him because her calculations in snagging him did not work out. She fails to realize the reason she & elvis didn't click/connect is because he took his vows due to force, not due to love. He appeared to be outwardly affectionate in photos in that first year but after - as her hair got higher, darker & longer and as her eyes got blacker, they just looked like an estranged movie star couple, all slick & beautiful but w/o warmth. Sure enough, early on her coldness sunk into Elvis' spirit and he saw her for the attention seeking girl she really was. That said, he seemed to have no intention of divorcing her until she made the first move.

There were photos taken of them leaving the hospital with Lisa as a new-born. She wasn't pregnant when they got married. I have seen photos of her pregnant, including getting into the car to go to the hospital.

Priscilla has always been extremely shallow and people sense it. There's a coldness in her. But this movie her daughter vehemently objected to, has really shown this woman for the conniving manipulator she always was and the girl who broke Elvis. It wasn't that he was broken from being so in love with her. It was that he did as he was commanded to do, pledged his devotion to her and DID care for her and provide for her. Elvis was broken because he did the right thing in marrying Priscilla and she walked away from him with another man, basically trashing their marriage and taking his adored daughter with her. When I saw the tone Piers took with her and witnessed her acting - a scant 2.36 minutes in, I had to turn it off. Shame on her.

He couldn't live as the rest of us. The man KNEW he was not ready for a marriage commitment but he did it. His little family was his anchor; his one constant. And when it fell apart his life became unmoored. His life & rise was meteoric but so very very lonely and sad in the end. A crass manager who did not nurture this man's extraordinary talent; a manipulative determined little girl-woman and betrayal of friends exposing his prescription issues led to Elvis' decline. David, her parents let her come over to america with marriage being promised by Elvis. For her parents it was a financial decision not a family decision and it worked, from the second she married Elvis, she and her siblings were taken care of for life. Priscilla knew a marriage to Elvis would not work but it would make her well off and she did not care how long the marriage lasted just as long as it was not annuled. She remained good to Elvis for about a year then she started living her life with other men.

I hate when she said she never married again because Elvis was the love of her life! No, it was a calculated business decision to keep the Presley name! Even wanting to force someone from there grave so she could be buried next to Elvis! She's gone completely off the deep end! Maybe it's her age making her worse! I don't hate Priscilla either, but there's a strong dislike. Plus there's really nobody around to defend Elvis anymore! I agree with you 100% David!! Plus Elvis was really young when he met her too. And very vulnerable at the time.

There is no reason to believe Beaulieu’s story about Elvis having a weird hang-up about having sex with a mother: 1) She later walked back this statement, claiming they did have sex. Also, it was much later than this whopper that she claimed Elvis raped her. 2) Elvis told his father that he wanted to marry Ginger Alden, and that he wanted her to be the mother of his future CHILDREN. Elvis also dated women who had children. 3) If Beaulieu is the source, I think it is safe to say that she is more likely to be lying than not, because, if for nothing else, she is certainly legendary for making a living by lying about her ex. 4) Elvis confided that sexually, Beaulieu was the aggressor, and this is further corroborated by her lovers in Germany, up until she left for Graceland at a few weeks shy of 18 years old, and lovers during and after her marriage. Elvis didn’t want to marry her, so it is safe to assume that he didn’t want to have sex with her, either, but, because he was non-confrontational, this may have been his ‘gentle’ way of communicating his lack of sexual desire for her. I personally think she fabricated the whole story to make Elvis look monstrous.

Elvis's cousin (female) who spent summers at Graceland with their Grandmother said Priscilla wasn't Elvis's great love.

I especially liked your analogy of when Priscilla finally came to live at Graceland and by that time Elvis was having second thoughts and maybe this whole thing was a bad idea but he had already given his word to the powers that be. What a terrible shame that he just couldn’t have followed his first instincts and sent her packing back to her parents. But we all know Elvis was a man of his word and went through with the entire fiasco. I just watched the Barbara Waters interview with her and Pris says Elvis didn’t talk about marriage with her, that it was Parker’s idea. The mother figure thing I think was a story Pris made up to make people give her a pass to have an affair and to end the marriage. Maybe E didn’t want to have sex with her because he knew she was having an affair only 6 weeks after Lisa was born. Or because he didn’t want to marry her at all. I mean really? The good news is that PRISCILLA failed miserably at the box office and she's going to have to work herself to death doing her venues and interviews to get the 20M she spent on that movie. It was a monitary disaster. Graceland is lucky they had no part in it nor did Elvis' music.

I grew up and loved Elvis. I have read various books about him including Priscilla's story. What i like is how Elvis's bodyguards were honest and said he took drugs because he loved to party; not because he was depressed. He also had affairs including with Ann Margaret etc but I also feel he was pressured to marry Priscilla

Spot on David. I watched the interview about a week ago for only 5 mins then shut it off. I had a look in the comments of this Piers Morgans interview and I saw the amount of commentary saying what a brilliant interview this was, how he asked such poignant questions. Then I went back and watched the video. What a trainwreck of an interview, firstly by Piers for not being well-read enough to ask any decent questions and for prompting her in the questions with the response she should give but also by Priscilla, how could she think people who've read her book wouldn't pull apart and see the different answers. That's the problem when you don't tell the truth to begin with, you have to have a very very good memory. Spot on Lisa wasn't with Priscilla, in fact Lisa spoke to Linda before her mother. Piers says now you've got a movie about your life, well actually Piers it's about a short period of her life when she was Elvis, nothing pre or post Elvis. Think about this, Priscilla was an aesthetically beautiful woman, why would Elvis not want to sleep with her after LMP was born? It's rubbish he didn't sleep with women that had a child, we know he did with other women. No, I put it to you he wasn't attracted to her, he lost interest in her, met other women who satisfied that need. Why does a virile man after 1968 at only 33 years old stop sleeping with his beautiful wife. The answer is obvious to me. To think that sometime in the future fans will have to walk past Elvis's ex-wife to pay their respects to Elvis is unpalatable to me.

I'll just add this... why didn't he ask her why she sued her granddaughter?! Not only didn't he ask this question but he offered an excuse in suggesting that she was just surprised by Lisa's Will.

All the questions were well prepared. She had to clean her image in front of the public to promote her movie 😂 it's all a well written design to make people think "Oh poor Priscilla, she is so devastated...poor her, what a sad life and she still loves him so deeply...look at those tears". I think Priscilla makes a spectacle out of being the only woman Elvis was ever married to but again, I think that's not the brag she acts like it is since he died so young. It's amazing to see this woman claim she never badmouths Elvis yet makes a movie that turns him into an abusive grooming predator. Priscilla stans like to think his fans just can't accept he had any faults but really we can and do, her fans can't accept that she's not a naive innocent victim and that she's the only one who smears his character and reputation meanwhile Linda Thompson does an amazing job of talking about Elvis as a person with good and bad traits yet never condemns him for it & cherishes his memory. I have so many thoughts about Priscilla. I think Elvis could confide in her whilst in Germany because that lines up with what a lot of his other GFs say that there was a big emotional component. I don't think Elvis slept with her while she was still underage (he had other options for that) but I don't think it was completely chaste either but after she turned 18, as long as there was consent it's no one's business.

Im certain that Elvis knew about the true HER...!!!!

The Elvis movie, unlike the Priscilla movie, took the high road and choose not to destroy her. Also, Priscilla said that Austin got everything about Elvis spot on. Then stated the Priscillas Elvis character (who was so much bigger then the real Elvis looked intimidating and like a monster) captured it spot on. She does not have all ducks in a row. Anyway, now that I have vented thank you for doing this reaction!

Sorry for adding to my long rant but she contradicts her answers later in the interview. Priscilla movie got a 7 minute ovation and Elvis movie got a 12 minute ovation. I think she maybe didn’t like the fact that she didn’t get more attention in the Elvis movie. Please remember the Elvis movie was about Elvis and Parker not Elvis and Priscilla. Also many things she shared in this interview were supposed to be personal between them. I guess now that he is not here she can do a tell all movie AGAIN.

I always thought Ann Margaret was more suited for Elvis. They were great friends, had lot of things in common! They stayed friends til he died and had it not been for Priscilla......I always thought there was something off whenever it came to Priscilla

I don't think so...otherwise they wouldn't have waited until May to celebrate the wedding . Elvis "proposed" to her in December. If in May Priscilla was already pregnant (and she had to be from at least about 1 month, to even know it and marrying fast), then Lisa is born after 10/11 months? I really don't believe it.

Back then you could be 1 day late on your cycle, get a blood test and if the rabbit that they injected with your blood died, then you were pregnant. This is Mrs. Ace X, in Florida

The golf cart events, where Lisa played with her little friend I actually think happened. I heard this story before from another source, I cant remember which, but I think it was Linda Thompson or even Lisa herself. In fact this is a very normal reaction children have, when faced with trauma. They have the ability to go in and out of the grieving process in seconds. One moment they can be overwhelmed by sadness, the next they can be playing as if nothing has happened. It is a way of protecting themself in the situation, that usually adults are unable to do. So yes the golf cart incident is likely to have happened.

I really think although Elvis was under the impression he HAD to marry Priscilla, he even did his very best to try to love her. Something like that. So tragical actually. Who in the world would have tried to love someone he didn't love totally just because other people wanted him to be married? Elvis was such a good soul.

And not just that you wouldn't forget it, it's also that you are asked these questions all the time so you know what the true story is from telling it so much.

I read that 7 minute standing ovation was because they had pre planned Scientologist in the audience to do that ovation.

@elvisistheman I agree with your review. I laughed a few times too. Piers looked like a lovesick puppy. He was coaching her and giving her cues how to respond. In my opinion, this interview was given to do damage control. So many contradictions but not once did he challenge her. Very poor journalism. What happened to bringing the facts and letting people decide for themselves? This movie is a one sided opportunistic agenda by a feminist director to make Elvis look like he took advantage of a young girl and she prevailed stronger. Why make the same movie 35 years later? Elvis is getting attention, Lisa dies, taking attention away from her so he had to do something to stay relevant. The only movie I want to see about Priscilla is HER affairs, how she sued him multiple times for more money, she sued Vernon for more money, she put a lien on Graceland as part of her settlement when he took her out of his will, tried to sue members of the MM, she stole money from her daughter and now her grandchildren, rewrites history so that we forget she gave derogatory interviews while he was alive to hurt him saying Stone was more of a man. The only grooming being done was by her mother and stepfather, grooming her to trap Elvis. You are correct when you say it's because he was famous they let her go live with him. While back then it was normal to get married at 14, 15, 16 to much older men, it was not normal to live with a man in "sin" so if Elvis the truck driver had asked to date her, they may have been okay with it, but I highly doubt they'd have allowed her to live with him in another country unless they were married. The money played a big part in that decision. It seems to me that she was the one persuing Elvis after he left Germany to stay relevant in his mind. She has made a career of being his widow even though she was the ex, she has ridden on his coattails and his achievements and Lisa's inheritance for 50 years then has the nerve to say she has no privacy. If she wants privacy, she should give up the Presley name as he stipulated in their settlement and stop giving interviews. No one cares about her, she hasn't done anything to warrant 2 movies about her. As for being pregnant, the math doesn't support this, also, there is footage of them at the airport after the wedding and she is in a tight dress. Also, Lisa was born 9 months after the wedding, if he married her for that reason, she'd have had to be pregnant for at least a month and Lisa would have been born earlier than Feb. I don't believe she was pregnant on the wedding day, but I do think he was pressured to marry her. Him not wanting to have sex after Lisa was born, might have something to do with knowing she had her affair 6 weeks after Lisa was born. Her saying he didnt want sex with a mother could be her way of covering up what she did and being the victim once again. He had no problem sleeping with orher women who had children. "Poor me, I was trapped, I didn't have a life, he didn't want me, that'swhyIhad an affair". She wasn't that trapped if she managed to have 2 affairs. She managed to leave him just fine for Stone. He didn't stop any woman from leaving him because by the time the woman left, he was done with her. That was his way of showing her he's not interested. As for being buried next to him, the self importance of this woman is astounding! I doubt if he was Elvis the truck driver she would be demanding to be buried next to him. And expecting his dad or grandmother be moved so she can be next to him, what a joke! Then Piers goes on to talk about the talent in the Presley family and she talks about her son, ummm, he's not a Presley, neither is she. Why is she including her son in this equation? If she wants to bring up her son, then bring up his father, don't make out like he is Elvis' son and he got his "talent" from Elvis. This woman is delusional.
