It amazes me that people expect an instantaneous response from police when they dial 9-1-1. It's Texas, protect yourself then call police for backup!

Stay aware of your surroundings and be prepared to defend yourself at all times.

This man was strung out on something!! This is why you stay equipped to protect your home and family. I have to say the fact she made the response time and protection in "other communities" should be the same as African American communities. This is NOT a race issue. It's a shortage of officers because no one wants to work for pennies and lay their lives on the line when they can make the same working at WalMart or fast food etc. Everyone wants to bash the police till they need their protection.
