To be 19 years old, your whole life ahead of you, your parents still alive, you’re at a festival, your friends are just as beautiful and free as you are, the sun is setting, music pounding across the fields, every atom of the earth pulsing with potential, understanding nothing, expecting everything. And then you wake up and you’re forty and just grateful that your depression seems to be under control.

This band got me through one of the toughest stages of my life- They were my anthem for overcoming addiction. Being a musician and knowing Trey's story, made them even more important to me. I even had a dream that I met Trey and asked for an autograph and he took a vinyl cover of "Joy" and signed it but instead of an autograph handed it back with the word ADDICT written but crossed out with a big X

This song hits the feels. I saw Trey play it at Alpine Valley last month and didn't get it on first listen. I think a lot of people can identify with the feeling of not wanting much in particular in life just genuine connection with someone, friend or lover. I'm in the stage of my life where my friends and I drifted apart and I have plenty of positive acquaintances but long for that deep connection. Beautiful performance too of course.

Saturday 10 day ago in India we were celebrating the goddess with amazing music and dance and than we jammed and police came and destroyed the beauty. After one hour and one of our friends arrested, the instruments and equipment taken a bunch of us went back to my place to release, playing cards and in the background the Phish guys were playing from Magna ball. The one real musician of the tribe after a while he put a smile on his face under his delighted sleep eyes and just sad, with full satisfaction:"they are goooooood..." Yes they are and...more than this I will not ask Faced with mysteries dark and vast Statements just seem vain at last Some rise, some fall, some climb To get to Terrapin Love you all

They have definitely been with me since ‘93 Britt Ballroom in Ashland, Oregon. All of the comments are truly awesome and show the strength of community. Think of all of the people who you randomly bump into that you haven’t seen since the last show or sometimes people you haven’t seen for years. Love you all brothers and sisters. Until we meet again.

As we all age over the years, I can't help but think "I want more acoustic songs & sets". Only a handful splashed throughout the years. I can't be blastin' Machine Gun Trey too much at the nursing home in my future.

Solo acoustic Wilson under a bridge in Cleveland may be the best Wilson I have heard. It was on a set break at a TAB show.

There is pain involved with this collaboration. It’s palpable to me. Two men who spent decades working together and the scars that inherently come with that. Then trying to re-meet up for a cup of coffee. Lots of awkwardness lots of trouble in the water under the bridge. But once they get to the thing they always agreed on it’s a thing of beauty.
