Waste Management Garbage Trucks of San Diego - Part III (North County Edition)

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

Two years ago I published a video called "Waste Management Garbage Trucks of San Diego" a compilation video of some of the many trucks that Waste Management of San Diego County runs. A year later after the reboot of this channel I published a part two which focused on the East County region of San Diego, highlighting the cities of El Cajon, Santee and some incorporated parts. Today/this year I bring you part 3. An edition that focuses on Waste Management of North County.
This project all started back in December when my best friend and I planned a trip to Disneyland. When driving up to Anaheim that morning I caught a glimpse of a street with Waste Management carts lined up for collection that day. I had noticed every city along the North I-5 (with the exception of Encinitas) past highway 56 was Waste Management. (Highway 56 is the boundary line/commencement of North County, everything north of the 56 is considered North County and everything south of the 56 - the 94 is central San Diego) [Well at least in my opinion]
One month later I found myself on the drawing board, scouting and researching routes.
As many of you are probably aware, San Diego County is divided into four areas. 1. South County (South Bay) 2. East County 3. Central San Diego 4. North County. Out of the four, north county is the most posh of them all. It's definitely a nicer area of San Diego with nice elegant homes, beautiful beaches and scenery's compared to East County (a.k.a "tweeker land" "the bad lands") and South Bay.
This project took two months to put together, what really took a lot of time was the driving. I think I spent more time driving than I did actually filming the trucks for this video. This project was very time consuming. But I managed to get it all done within my time limit and I didn't break the fiscal years budget because of it. #proudofmyself
Just like I did in part 2, mini series of these cities will be released later this year with the completion of part 4 which will focus on Carlsbad and Oceanside only. Since Carlsbad and Oceanside are much more populous than 4S Ranch, Del Mar, and Solana Beach I wanted to feature more trucks which I felt I wasn't be able to do in one video. In June/July production for part 4 will commence.
I honestly made a dumb mistake creating this project in the dead of winter, although the temperature was an average of 70 degrees throughout the production of this video the glare and the position of the sun was just horrible, I had to refrain from shooting to the south or southwest/east. My shots had to be to the north or due west/east to not get sun glare shots. I almost pulled the plug on this project because of that, but I was determined and I had to capitalize on my free time because I don't know what my schedule will be like in the fall when I start at the university.
In this video you will see three incorporated cities and one unincorporated area. 4S Ranch is technically not a city, but because WM has an exclusive contract to run there I figured why not showcase it, it is part of North County. Del Mar, Solana Beach and a teaser of Carlsbad are also featured in this video. I do have to warn you they're all CNG trucks with the exception of one so don't have a hissy fit when you notice that all you see is Think Green vehicles. "This video is to showcase what the different cities run, not what I scored on for the day." A lot has changed over the past years. Most of this was all a surprise to me because I literally do not keep up to date with any new news, watch any videos or look at photos pertaining to the waste industry anymore. To many of you this might be old, but for me this is all brand new which made the project really exciting.
I really hope you enjoy part 3. I put in a lot of sweat, gas and a really bad anxiety attack to get it completed. Make sure you subscribe to see part 4 later this year.
