Wasps / Yellowjackets preying on Wax Moth larvae - UHD 4K

Ғылым және технология

European wasps ( Vespula vulgaris ) preying on Wax Moth ( Galleria mellonella ) larvae in the UK. Wasps are voracious predators and play a vital role controlling insect pests such as caterpillars and aphids. It has been estimated that wasps in the UK might account for 14 million kilograms of insect prey during the summer. The wasps take insects back to the nest to feed their own larvae, who in turn produce sugary secretions for the adults.
