PRINCE CC won SWEN-SAL
8 A-side S/7 Cup game and
SWEN League game
First ever 8 A-side S/7 Cup game in any league and Prince CC had marvelous start of its season.
Nasir CC young and energetic team made 100/3 in 7 overs and it was a big total in 7 overs to chase. WASEEM Khalid started with a boundary on the very first ball and made blistering 30* on only 10 balls (retired). Then IZHAR Ahmed made 26* on 15 balls (retired) which lifted the hopes to chase.
Prince CC needed 18 in the last over, then needed 12 runs on 3 balls and SHAHBAZ Khan hit a Six on the fourth ball. Then Prince CC needed 6 runs on the last two balls and needed 3 to win on the last ball when SHAHBAZ Khan hit towards the point and completed 2 runs but ran for a risky third and luckily throw crossed the boundary line and Prince CC got 6 runs and won the game without losing any wicket. Prince CC got 18 points and Nasir CC 5 points.
It was a good toss to win and Prince CC started an attacking cricket. NADEEM Ahmed (34) and WASEEM Khalid (113*) second wicket 105 runs partnership. Then IZHAR Ahmed (65*) maintained his aggressive batting and had 127 runs 5th wicket partnership with WASEEM Khalid (113*). Prince CC made 147 in last 15 overs and 67 runs in last 5 overs and completed its innings with big total of 280/4.
In response Nasir CC never looked to even get closer to 280 and wickets started tumbling. SHAHBAZ Khan took 4 wickets in quick succession which put them on back foot. IZHAR Ahmed was on top with his impressive wicket keeping behind the stumps. Rana Faizan from Nasir CC made a half century and showed his class.
FAZAL Rehman got 3 and WASEEM Khalid got 2 wickets. Prince had a dream start in the both Cup and League games.
