@@docnightmares8291 To be honest, I find a lot of the "snowflakes" and over sensitivity obnoxious, not to mention the increasing focus on identity politics over the last 10 years, which polling shows the vast majority of people are against - including me - but I've seen a decent amount of Native Americans say the name is somewhat offensive, while they don't care or even like the name "Braves", even if there's some in comments claiming they are and don't. They're not even "red", and it'd be like having a team with a slanty eyed stereotypical asian guy as a logo with the name "yellowskins". In this case, I think it makes sense to change it.

This goes to show they don't know what racism is

A high school in wa state had the nickname kamiakin braves with statues and paintings of Native Americans torn down because it was cited as a racism. After contacting local natives the statues could stay but they name and paintings had to go
