Rio, I share your optimism, BUUUUUUUT, maybe we should dial it back just a bit. An eight win nine loss season where Daniels exhibits the mechanics, smarts and leadership, and most importantly doing it while NOT GETTING HURT would suit me just fine. Anything above eight wins his rookie season would be the proverbial icing on a burgundy and gold cake.

@@Rio_Robinson91 hey thanks for replying. I obviously misinterpreted your optimism. Sorry about that. But let me reiterate that I share your optimism. I think that this regime is doing everything that I, and I assume all Commanders fans believe is the absolute right thing. Build a team from the ground up and not just the top by bringing in the best available. Not just the flashiest. I must admit that I haven't been this optimistic since the glory days of the 80s. Yes I go back that far. Actually I go back to the days of Otto Graham (another sad era). I remember when we got Vince Lombardi, but sadly for only one year. So as you can tell I am a lifer. Absolutely enjoy your cast. Keep up the great work.

The best news is JD5 putting in the work, and how it is translating on the field. Some of the biggest washouts at QB simply refused to put in the time. He has a plan for watching video, learning the playbook, everything. And if you can get your teammates behind you, it is big. He throws quick, effortlessly, touch; this guy is it. Just teach him to slide. This team will play fast, you won't be seeing EB "take your time setting up a long-developing play". Running, RPO, timing, quick hits, no huddle thrown in. This is why i don't think coaches are that worried with Ts. Two TE sets, RB out of the backfield, 3 and 4 WR sets to spread the defense, runs to keep defense honest. Throw in better LBs, 3 DT sets, blitzing from various places on the field, this is a whole new team.

Please don't forget Brandon Banks was one of our all time greatest returners!

Bro. Just saw a Cornelius Lucas interview (Underdog talk). Crazy how he said Bobby Johnson was the first person he spoke to coming into the league (full circle). But Cornelius said, he can't wait to show people what they have been sleeping on. He said he about to show his ass and show everybody what he can do. He said he's "the biggest MF on the field, so you gotta see me". Apparently, he was a projected 3rd rounder. But he broke his leg prior to the combine (of course setting him back). And we all know how hard it us for undrafted players (who literally have to be a dawg to even get a coach's attention). And lets face it, we haven't had good coaches for a while. So we'll see. I don't think Adam and Dan are bringing Lucas back if they don't see anything. Personally, I think Lucas is a road grader in the making.

It would help my confidence in forbes if he had used his money to build his body through wieghts, trainers and nutrition. But he still looks the same as when he got humiliated last year. Bad, bad, bad way to show a new regime that you are serious to succeed.

It will be funny when the doubters realize that JD is a passing QB. Running will be secondary and then only when absolutely necessary.
