Washing and Greasing the Bad Boy Mowers Maverick - All 8 Grease Points!!

Had to knock the mud off the old Maverick. Followed the hose down up with some fresh grease in all the grease fittings, including the two I missed on my previous video.

    I just did the exact same thing to mine today. Well I did not grease anything today. I use the blower and blow it off after every mow. Great minds think alike. I run mine up on ramps and put blocks on those back wheels even with the parking break on.😉 Usually after my last mow around end of October I clean it up again, grease the fittings and change the "Oil, Oil Filter, Air Filter, and Fuel Filters".

    That is a solid way to go about it. I have to mow pretty much year round in my neck of the woods, so never really put my mower up for the winter.

    Planning on doing the exact same to my Elite tomorrow so this video gave me some ideas. I’m using a 2100 PSI pressure washer. I noticed you didn’t grease the front wheels. There’s a black cap over the tops of each which I assume have grease fittings under there (I’ve never had them off) Please do a video when you sharpen the blades . After a years use and 40 hrs, mine still cut great but I’m sure they’ll need it at some point soon.

  • @south_coast

    @south_coast

    Yeah, I have never pulled the black caps off, but I am fairly certain they are non-grease-able. At least that is what I was told. Maybe I should check too.

But I'm wondering if you can show how to adjust the bars?, Not the ones on the bars themselves but my right one goes forward more and my mower is pulling a tad to the right. I know there is a adjustment just not sure on where and how exactly to do it lol. I would really be grateful 😀.

    I had a case mower for years before I got my bad boy mower, It had grease zerks on the spindle shafts, however the spindle bearings would still go bad, Note to file, no matter how much you grease you place in the spindle cavity, if the inter bearing seals covers are not removed from the bearing no grease can go into the bearing, U must remove the inter bearing seal cover!!! No one does this so why have grease zerks on the shafts? Take care,

    I have had my Maverick for 3 years now and still absolutely love it. The Maverick is what Bad Boy calls their entry level commercial grade mower. I believe it is suited for mowing up to 5 hours per day 5 days per week. The elite's are more rated to like 5 hours per week, though I know several guys in my area that use them daily and brag on them all the time. If I had to buy a mower today, I would buy the Maverick again. Love it!

    Currently using a no name gun with the Lock-N-Lube coupler on it. I am still trying out different grease types, but I believe I had a Lucas Oil Marine grease in it for this video. I’m trying out a Super Lube red bearing grease now. No major difference in performance on the mower.

    No need to say sorry. These are just standard automotive oil change ramps. I added a link to them in the description, or you can find something similar at your local auto parts store. I like the plastic ones for working on the mower because they are easier to pivot on the concrete than the metal ones. Hope this helps.
