Absolutely is. In fact it is a Brazilian maverick and they had the 4cyl, 6 and 8 as options from factory.

Brother I understand your point I was in your position once with my F100 Ford truck,I chose my truck ,my 302 small block Ford ,it's motor turned over 3 times when it was time to over haul the motor my piston skirts were just brittle,I could just break off pieces little by little,so I ended up in getting a Ford Falcon 289 V8 it has just as good power on it,believe me I drove that truck where ever the military sent me too ,that truck and I had a connection I was the only one driving it and doing its repairs ,the clutch installation kicked my ass cause the standard transmission was heavy aligning it all ,well that truck took care of me real good,I still have it,drive it,and have been offered generous offers,but no it's part of me keep your Maverick til the end.as I am ,LEO

Yeah! What kind a story is this? It’s a 4 cylinder inline banger. 302 V8 was not a factory option. Hence, the economy. Gas prices. I bought a 1980 Ford Fairmont from my ex father in law. In 1988. It had a I4 Ford industrial engine. It was way underpowered. The worst $2500 that I ever spent. I sold it a few years later for $700. That was a wrangle with the buyer. The 6 cylinder version was a much better car. This guy has lost his mind in the stratosphere. No one is going to give up 50k for that old relic. He doesn’t know cars!!! 😂
