Side note, there were no agitator dogs to speak of, they must have dissolved over time!

This video was a week late, Sam! Haha. Last weekend I repaired a Whirlpool top loader which was a similar problem, but it had a splined shaft and the plastic agitator hub had stripped splining. Same basic repair, only I just replaced the plastic hub and it worked great. In that case, you also want to bring a gear puller to get the hub off because they often fuse to the shaft.
