Can we actually get back to Jokered? I mean, I am not against challenge runs like this, but I am enjoying the swapping out of jokers far more, after approximately 300h of playtime, still.

Blue seal being able to carry a jokerless run is pretty OP. Old blue seal was trash, but current is so ridiculously strong. It should really be somewhere in the middle, like "random planet card for a hand played in current round at end of round." So if you played 2 high cards, then a straight, you'd have 67% chance of getting a pluto, and 33% chance for Saturn. With that, if you really want a guaranteed planet card for your hand, you have to play your winning hand without using your hands up for discards, which either reduces the number of planet cards you want to a reasonable amount, or forces other sacrifices (like gold cards, chance of using purples seals, etc.) that also help balance things.

But then it'll just go back to being worthless unless you're playing for really easy hands. If you're trying to scale a joker, or playing for harder to build hands (4/5 OAK, flushes, full houses, straights, even 3OAK if you're really unlucky), then a blue seal will just be cluttering your deck, because the marginal bit of scaling it'll provide will never justify passing up on other seals. Even with the buff, it's barely worth it in face of, say, purple seals. It making the hardest challenge in the game a little easier does not justify nerfing them to oblivion again.

Blue seal is only overpowered in situations like jokerless or early game. It’s nowhere near run defining

I would argue the digging and deck management required to constantly pull the blue deal alongside a hand worth scaling firmly puts it in the appropriately powered territory, it's strong but in a fairly niche situation with a lot of work

@@grzegorzbrzeczyszczykiewic563 I'd hardly call it worthless. It just requires more deck manipulation to consistently draw without using extra hands, which is true for any given seal. Before, each blue seal had a 1/9th chance (~11%) of giving the planet you want (or less if you unlocked the other planet cards). Now it's 100% that. Basically the balance here is even if you disregard avoiding using your hands for discards, on average you'd have about (30%-40%) chance of getting the planet for the hand you want which is still a huge improvement. And with a little bit of deck trimming and manipulation, you still bump that up to 100% pretty easily. Planet cards are generally more valuable than tarot cards on a per card basis, but fewer planet cards are useful, so on average you end up spending similar amounts on each in the shop. When you're getting the specific planet card you want, every single round, (on non-endless at least) that's more valuable than 3 or 4 random tarot cards from purple seals which itself takes a lot of effort to get to, to begin with. Getting 3 or 4 purple seals that are actually giving you tarot cards consistently each round, and the deck manipulation needed for it, takes more rounds and effort, than getting the blue seal consistently, once you have one. This also introduces a push and pull element of tarot cards vs planets. Do you use up your hands to maximize your chance of drawing purple seals with discards remaining? Or use up your discards to maximize your chance of getting the planet card you want? Which is more important for the specific situation you're in and the point in the run that you're at?

Jokerless is already hard enough, blue seal being “OP” Is one of the only things making it doable. Plus the prof makes it look easy
