The Elite Women's XCO grand finale and the title showdown from La Bresse, France played out with one of the most exciting and intense races we've seen on the cross-country circuit for a long time. It truly was the best race I have ever seen. I remember thinking while watching, that it would be a long time until i got the privilage to enjoy such a battle again, and that it was for the overall made it even better!
We are seeing a era of cross country race that will be hard to forget. Bring on 2019!
2018 was marked by Great comebacks, Froome on the Giro and Neff on the XCO World Cup. Such a nostalgic year!💪🏾

The clip where Jolanda looks back to Annika and is just like "okay....lets do this!" and then Annika destroys her just gives me the chills! Best finish last year! - really looking forward to this season!

My heart rate was threw the roof during that race.
I would say, yes! I was there and I am probably biased but just the sheer energy and tension was very present. The challenges on top of all the battles made the racing just amazing. We were all winners here.
It was the best XC race I can remember.

theterrible1 so close at the last race of last year. The most exciting race of the year. She is such an awesome person. Works hard. Hometown girl, she will win this year.

Emily is a fantastic human. Very down to earth and supports and sponsored kids and adult mountain and cx training and races. She has been putting in the hard work. Her day will come. Last race of last year was one of her best races.

Frig beards - passing no brain fad that the sheeple grabbed hold of! He looks far better and happier without that friggin' rat's nest. Think for yourselves FFS!!
So glad that Neff is no longer with Kross. The most shameful wheel replacement in history. And it was just outrages that after few min the camera spotted the Kross crew laughing and joking. If i was in that crew i would not know where to hide myself for being such a loser!

That was a great race, but I thought the world championships were even better. Kate coming back and beating all the favorites was unbelievable.

Who would have thought when this video came out that Emily and Langard would be out of the whole thing by mid season?
Best XCO race ever. Jolanda won it well deservedly, but Batty (who didn't suffer any puncture) would have taken it if it wasn't for Langvad. Annika is very powerful, but her technical skills are next to non- existent. Emily lost a lot of time blocked by Langvad running all the difficult parts.

Because they carry their bikes on downhill anyway, also they are sponsored, and actually while riding the flex doesn't make that much difference really.
All great established racers....then you have the "newcomer" Kate Courtney to come in and throw her helmet into the ring...

if Emily Batty didn’t do that stupid diet, she literally would’ve won a world cup
Short track is pointless as a guide for XCO. Of course a power house can win when they dont need any technical skills... You only have to look at how La Bresse above played out... The least skillful MTBer ran 1/5 of each lap getting in actual MTBers way, and then got passed by 3 riders on the last lap because she had to take the "B-Line" every lap... The way they've ruined the new Albstat course it appears Langvad will walk away with it... Ugh

It's called XC, which is the acronym for cross country, not trials. Even Jolanda appreciates their different strengths. It takes all types....just enjoy it, these are all amazing athletes and inspirational ladies.
