First of all you are really deluded. First of all Messi scored 4 penalties not 6, learn to count first, also have you ever considered if the penalties were fair of not? Or you you just rely on the sour losers players that said something in a post match interview? And notice his celebration for winning Copa and the WC were AMOST entirely same except Messi did not cry when he won the WC as he had already found balance and peace inside him after winning Copa and another trophy too. So he was EXTREMELY happy (as you can see throughout the ceremony) but not crying because of the above reason, not every player cries when they win the WC. And also all this talk on twitter and poster things, same things were said about Ronaldo winning the WC too. But Messi is associated more with the WC because he was considered by many in the shadow of Maradona. Ronaldo won the EURO and even without EURO Cup CR7 was already the GOAT of Portugal. But in Messi’s case he NEEDED to win the World Cup to ‘’prove’’ he was better than Maradona. THAT is why there was so much hype around Messi and on top of that Argentina were on an unbelievable unbeaten streak with 2 major trophies in 16 months with arguably the GOAT on their team too. Of course they were the favorites. And if it rigged then explain THIS- 1.) The referee disallowed 4 Argentina goals one of which was blatantly onside. Why would they do this if want Argentina to ‘’easily’’ win the WC. Do you know Emi Martinez and some other players were so mentally effected by the Saudi loss that they had to get literal therapy. 2.) Where were FIFA’s ‘’biased’’ referees in Argentina’s most crucial match of the whole tournament? The game vs Mexico. Had Argentina lost or even draw that game then they would have gone crashing out of the WC. But I did not see the referee award any free penalties in that game. 3.) The Netherland ref gave more than 10 mins of added time when it CLEARLY wasn’t need and despite time being over the ref decided to let Netherland take a freekick from close range. 4.) Giving yellow to Messi just for saying it wasn’t a freekick (also, not only Messi but many Netherland players including Van Dijk protested against the ref after game, that’s why he was sent home. And Messi did not ‘’abuse’’ Van Gaal Messi just told him to keep his mouth shut after the game, I’m sure that is not an abuse and he insulted Weghost because he insulted Messi and his teammates during the game, get your facts right) 5.) Giving 2 penalties to France in the WC FINAL and the second penalty was given just 2 mins before full time. The ref could have disregarded it if he was paid by Argentina and wanted Argentina to win win but he still awarded the pen which could have cost Argentina the WC 6.) I did not see FIFA rigging penalty shootouts. and Messi did not want to analyse the game right after winning the freaking WC was because he of course wanted to celebrate first with his teammates. and by the way Mbappe and Hakimi play for Qatar owned PSG too including many PSG players in the WC. All things considered saying the ENTRIE WC was rigged and scripted for Messi is a long and unrealistic shot created by Ronaldo stans. Especially considering the fact that the people claiming that the WC was rigged do not even have any authentic evidence. But we HAVE authentic evidence that it was NOT rigged.

Everyone knew Fifa is a corrupt organisation for years now , especially ignoring all the Qatar issues but it was almost comical how easily Argentina were favored sometimes. You missed another one. When Messi scored his second goal, the substitution was on the field already. Per the rule book if the scoring team has more players on the pitch the goal should be ruled out.

This isn’t a robbery per se. The refs probably did not see it as it’s such a strange occurrence. Also the player being on the pitch has nothing to do with the goal, so it would be hard to claim that Argentina did not deserve the win even if the goal technically should have been disallowed. Edit: I made another reply to this comment later but not many people are seeing it. It explains why the goal should stand as per FIFA rules, so it may be more helpful then this one.

In fact, Messi criticized the referee who officiated the Netherlands vs. Argentina game (despite the fact that such referee awarded Argentina some mysterious penalty); either way, the fifa decided to send the referee home as a result of Messi's comments toward the referee! Obviously, this set a precedent among referees that "if you don't help Argentina win the title, you will be sent home." Now, Argentina is a very limited team! I mean, how can it be that they are helped by the referees and they're still unable to beat the Netherlands and France in regulatory time?

You'd think that after that game in which they received their usual penalty for a dive, in which Messi blatantly punched the ball with his hand and in which the ref refused to send off the Argie player who fired the ball at the Dutch bench they'd be quiet. Instead they criticize the ref for not giving them even more decisions. The refs apparently had a script to follow and I'm surprised how few people say anything about it.

@@deezgutz5330 Messi was in *offside position.* BUT, he did not receive the ball OR get involved in the play in ANY WAY until later on. And when he did get involved, he was onside. For reference, read section 2 (“Offside offence”) of the Offside law (this would be law 11). The rules clearly state that unless a player interferes in active play, they are not penalised for simply being in offside position. Messi did not touch the ball, try to touch ball, obstruct the opponent’s view, challenge any opponent for the ball, make any action that prevented the opponent from interacting with the ball. Therefore, this is a 100% correct decision to not penalise this offside.

@@deezgutz5330 Lautaro Martinez is the one who touched the ball…? Messi did not receive it until Martinez passes it back to him, in which case he is behind the ball, so he can’t be offside. Not even gonna argue this, you can just watch the game. If you look at the Fox highlights, the commentator literally acknowledges that Messi is offside, but says Martinez received the ball.

You know that the referee can use the headphones he has on, right? He doesn't always need to physically check VAR. As when it comes to corruption in this tournament, I don't think that is quite a reasonable argument and that's based on the fact that the ideal wc final would be Argentina vs Portugal, the two legends of an era. Portugal lost to Morocco, making it the first African team to reach the semi-final, which in itself cost the world cup the entirety of Ronaldo's fanbase, which is really gigantic. If we say that the world cup was only a one sided corruption that favoured Argentina, or Messi more precisely, the argument that would fall down by the game against The Netherlands. Even though Paredes did a terrible tackle, don't forget that the player he tackled on also did a terrible tackle on Messi seconds ago, with literally no precautions. Van Dijk just body slammed him and also got no card, they tried to intimidate the Argentine players all game, which you can clearly see during the penalties. Van Gaal was also trash talking before the game, so it was no surprise that the game was so heated, and players from the Netherlands, and in response the one from Argentina, were so prone to violence. I won't say that the players weren't exaggerating, bc they totally were, and I'm saying it as an Argentina fan, but players always do. That's why a good reference is so important, which is totally different from what the two quarter finals got

Its amazing the amount of logical leaps you guys take completely ignoring that IF Fifa wanted to gift Argentina a cup, they could have ignored either one of the two French penalties because those could easily have gone either way too. It's not like the ref can say whatever the heck in the work cup final, and the officials just follow it blindly. In addition, if the ref was faulty, then that would help FRANCE, as they got two penalties to Argentina's one. And at the end of the day, the ref has no influence over the results of a PK shootout.

Argentina won fair and square! I have seen far worse tournaments in terms of refreeing but never seen people cry as much about it.

If your argument is that scoring a penalty boost one's morale for the game, shouldn't them losing the Poland penalty have prevented them from scoring 2 amazing nonpenalty goals against Poland since failing to score the "rigged" pen would have shattered their morale?? They won that Poland game on good goals. Also the main reason Argentina won 3-0 against Croatia was not penalty but bcos their defense and the whole team's hunger was strengthened probably in reaction to the Van Gaal disrespect. Their strong defense made it diff for Luka to get even one goal. IT WAS NOT STAGED. Modric wouldn't risk a world cup for a billion dollars. Same with Mbappe. Are you kidding Croatia didn't have any shots on target the expected goals was not even 0.5. Argentina humiliated Croatia in the midfield they couldn't even touch the ball. Croatia didint even press Argentina because they weren't able to get the ball. It was rigged, cause there was numbered of times that players used their hand intelionally and no cards or fault given, there was hard fouls being made and ignored, there was for example Di maria penalty at the final he dived 100% and the ref refused to check VAR entire match which i think france penalty was a dive aswell but was less diving then di maria dive, messi playing with his hands against Netherlands or was Croatia, also there was the Portugal match agasint marrocos where 2 ref's were from Argentina and its against the rules having a ref of a nationality of one of the current teams playing, and we saw the ref favouriting marrocos entire game, resuming players are not in the fault they played their games, but the system was corrupt and the is too much evidence without a doubt that World cup are not even worth watching, when its like Euro cup or Latina American cup those are less corrupted cause Fifa doesnt really benefit from it.

It’s amazing how people watch replays and point out mistakes. Also the ref HAS to be aware of it before the play restarts. Meaning that once the kick off happens, the ref CANNOT go back and review it. France had all that time to complain to the ref but they never did. So days after the WC Final, fans see an image of 2 subs being on the field. So what. Also every team has players on the pitch when they score and France had 7 players on the pitch for Martinez’s last save. So basically you’re a hypocrite which is a bad quality.

All of argentina's world cup "wins" have been tainted and shady, Qatar was no exception. Argentina was heavily favored by the refs with all those nonsense calls throughout the tournament. If that silly penalty in the final wasn't given to argentina France would've won in regular time 2-1... oh and of course, there's that "virus" that only affected France. FIFA and the Qatar organizers/sponsors wanted messi to win, he's the cash cow, the crowd favorite. The way everything was setup for argentina has been discussed for months before the WC started.

I honestly do believe the World Cup could’ve been rigged. I heard many people say that the prince of Qatar really liked the Argentina team. Qatar probably did it so that there World Cup would get more praise. So many penalties given to Argentina but not their opponents who should’ve at least have it checked out. Messi Clearly touching the ball with his hand but getting away with it scot free, surly raises so much suspicion. Fifa just straight ignoring everyone’s requests to teach them some proper manners. I’ve also never seen a team get 5 games at the final stadium. Why was Argentina playing 5 out of 7 games at the finals stadium when looking at past world cups no team got to play in the final stadium before the final more than 3 times. The final is supposed to be a neutral site with no home field advantage but I think allowing 55,000 Argentine fans to buy tickets and only 25,000 French fans along with already having played 4 games at that stadium is a pretty good home advantage. Apparently all these other stadiums ac were making people sick but Argentina just so happened to be lucky enough to play at the final stadium 3 times in a row before and during the final? Nah I love Messi but after seeing how they celebrating their 3rd controversial title I don’t respect Argentina whatsoever…the corruption of 1978, the hand of god, and now this can they not win a legit World Cup?
