Well I consider as a wrong depiction of the movie... Cauz matrix a movie which talks bout the freedom from everything and especially from religion cauz religion binds the thoughts of a person to a certain level thinking.. he nvr been able to think out of their upnashida's veda's Bible or Quran etc.. N the fact is the matrix's director r transgender which makes even it more clear..

What is the difference between a religious person and a believer? There is nothing agnostic or atheist about Matrix movie. And there is nothing religious about Upanishads. Hollywood rips off Indian philosophy and does not even have the courtesy to admit it publicly. Typical White Christian attitude. They only give credit to India when they want to depict the worst.
