Was That Hitler
From Season 3, Episode 1 of The IT Crowd
The IT Crowd is a British sitcom originally broadcast by Channel 4, written and directed by Graham Linehan, produced by Ash Atalla and starring Chris O'Dowd, Richard Ayoade, Katherine Parkinson, and Matt Berry. Set in the offices of the fictional Reynholm Industries in London, the series revolves around the three staff members of its IT (Information Technology) department: computer programmer Maurice Moss (Richard Ayoade), work-shy Roy Trenneman (Chris O'Dowd), and Jen Barber (Katherine Parkinson), the department head/relationship manager who knows nothing about IT. The show also focuses on the bosses of Reynholm Industries: Denholm Reynholm (Chris Morris) and later, his son Douglas (Matt Berry). Goth IT technician Richmond Avenal (Noel Fielding), who resides in the dark server room, also appears in a number of episodes.

The very specific way that Chris Morris pauses ever so slightly between "that wasn't Hitler that was a..." "...woman" is so fucking funny and perfectly done. It's so confident but with the most infitessimaly small and subtle hint of panic while he quickly thinks of what to say and then lands on the word "woman" and instantly decides that description will do the job even though it's so obviously a lie... perfect.

@@RhysCallinan-cg5ww I don't drink, so I guess maybe that explains the differing opinions. Although, I'm not sure Uncle H. didn't drink either. He was no sell out lush, like Churchill, but I seem to recall a story from one of his bodyguards who had to keep a nip of something stocked for Uncle H., but I could be remembering the story completely wrong, tho. Uncle H. was a pretty straight laced guy. He definitely didn't fit in with the degenerate aristocracy.
@RhysCallinan-cg5ww

@@l337pwnage H was very controlling when meeting people. No alcohol, no coffee, no meat at dinners. Churchill didn't give af about what you drank or ate. And he encouraged that. And the thing about degenerate aristocracy was, H wanted so badly to be a part of that, but when he realised he'd never fit in, he turned against it. Churchill hated the Aristocracy despite being a part of that, and did what he could to avoid it as best he could. It's why, after the disaster of Gallipoli, he became a soldier in the trenches instead of going back to being a politician or the society. Had the best time of his life as well. Yeah he's done shit stuff, like what he did to India and his arrogant dismissals of my country's (Australia) vulnerability with Japan, but generally he wasn't as bad as H. He was so controlling, his niece, whom he was reportedly having an affair with though I doubt, killed herself because he tried to control her movements and habits. When someone is so controlling that they kill people because of it, then they might need to be in a mental ward. At least with Churchill, I can have fun. Even have an insult game with him, who unlike H who got mad when people accidentally called him president and not Fuhrer, Churchill can handle being called insults.

@@RhysCallinan-cg5ww lol, you couldn't make it past the first sentence w/o lying. Sorry, bub, but I've seen testimonies from people who not only knew Uncle H, but worked closely with him. Churchill sold out to his masters so he could keep his lavish lifestyle. They had to run him several times, and in different parties, to get him into power, tho, because he was so unlikable. Once they had him in and got their war, they had to ban elections(lol, funny how "democracy" don't matter when the people who actually run things don't want it) in order to keep him in, and as soon as people were allowed to, they voted that POS out.
