You weren’t a fan of season 6? What are you hoping to see change with the shows formula ?

Season 6 felt like a transitional season to me. It tied up some loose ends from previous seasons and set up some new scenarios and antagonists for future seasons. Not a lot really happened in any of the long term story arcs, but we did get some answers to a few burning questions from earlier seasons.

I completely agree. I don’t think every season needs to be earth shattering story wise. But I’m now hopeful for the future. Thanks for commenting

Great vid mate honestly the major issue you mentioned with THOSE two episodes is the only thing weighing it down for me also the meta stuff is almost groan worthy at times at least for me I like when it's smart and funny but it can get draining and analyse piss is a great play on the film analyise this which I love as well

Thanks for Commenting Steven. I do think it felt like old episodes. It just felt like a very consistent season. Now is it the best? No. Season 1-3 are some of the best TV out there. But this was super Solid.

Late to the party but just started watching R and M again and enjoyed this season for sure. Going into season 7 spoiler free lol

I feel like the show always stayed true to what it was, just a bit shakily in season 4-5, but this season feels like they're confident at balancing where they want to go and what the fans want

Exactly right. I think this season balanced it extremely well. The characters grew without needing 22min of dedicated plot. The humour was on point. And with Ep8 they just were showing off that they could also impact you with just great storytelling

Analyze Piss is the golden standard for a Rick and Morty episode

So absolutely loved this season I just wished there was more rick prime or even a glimpse at evil morty

Analyze piss was one of my favourites but what ruined it for me was that the family found out about ricks selfless act and then they make a whole meta joke about how he shouldnt have told anyone like the ending of dark knight....THEY ACKNOWLEDGE THE PROBLEM AND YET STILL DO IT. I would have ended the episode with Jerry and the rest of the family absolutely hating ricks guts, and rick goes to clear his name but decides not to and to take on the burden selflessly.

I kinda like the season's meta narrative about meta jokes. The 4th wall breaks slowly build up more and more till the storylord episode, then abruptly stop afterwards and return to the regular amount.

That Jerry is from the Cronenberg Morty episode.

I don't get why people call Beth having sex with Clone Beth incest. Sure it's weird but not really incest. It's more of a part of beth having sex with another part of her. I think that episode was amazing because it hit all the funnies for me and the twisted way of beth learning to "love herself" and even Jerry getting in on it and probalby making their marriage more stable was so nice to see.

I think the story stuff was alright. It hit its storybeats. In Happy you enjoyed it even more than me. I’m finding so many people are enjoying this season more than I had expected. That’s always great to see

@@DareToEntertain Yeah the season overall was great in my opinion. many of my friends turned their back on it after season 4 had its ups and downs. I feel like people don't commit to series after they have had a dip in quality

Loved this season

So there are people that still like the comedy... crazy. For me the comedy is the difference between liking 3 episodes and liking 8 sooo

Seasons one and two are better but this one is as good as season three, maybe a bit better. .If you made a list of the ten worst episodes, every one of them would probably be from seasons four or five.

Lol I thought this was about attack on titan and was so confused. For me the first 3 seasons are osme of the best seasons of tv. So yeah I agree.

i wouldn't say this season is better than season 2, but it might be better than season 1 in my eyes, loved this one, my favorite episode was definetely night family, which is now in my top 5

Idk what you people are smoking, this season was terrible, at least season 5 had mortiplicity and the final episode, this had nothing lol.

season 3,4,5 are by far the worst in the series, it's bunch of randomness and fanservice fights with nonsense. Most of these episodes would only work as a space television or mortty mind blowers, because these were just random ideas with no real plot, like these dragons having s&x, heist joke, crystal that could help you see your death or Narnia, these seem just like a joke that could work for 1/10 of the episode, just like in space television or Morty mind blowers. It was more of a fun for tv show makers than fun for viewers. Just bunch of random fights like with the power rangers reference or this weirdass episode of morrty getting bunch of powers

Same , these episodes seem just uninspired and hodge podge. The only rly remarkable episode I can remember is the vat of acid episode from 4. All the episodes that I love are from 1-3 in fact ,

Absolutely the best Season by far imo,the start and the end were really strong,and the episodes were just 🔥,I'm already excited for S7,especially how Rick kinda teased us for S7

So i just got done finally watching the series as it's dropped on Netflix. Given everything we now know about royland it made it a tough series to get through. The constant suicide themes were very off and the issues you had were justified. Not tge strongest season but pretty okay.

In with you on this but I loved season 1. Season 2 and 3 are just some of the best tv period

season 6 totally sucked... most of the episodes we just goofy random crap that made no sense.. the crazy thing is the show had so much unlimited potential since there are unlimited dimensions .... but nooooo.. some genius thought itd be a great Idea to take away their ability to even make portals anymore.. they should have took tips from Adventure time

The overabundance of incest and the writers still not knowing how to write actual characters with development is getting very tiresome, season 6 compared to season 5 was a big step up but only because it largely abandoned attempts at story and stayed episodic. This Show just doesnt know how to be a story driven show

My thoughts on the season. Episode 1 Pretty creative and a fun introduction to a new villain. Also Morty was sent back to his original universe. But I also thought after all that Rick and Morty would sit down and have a serious talk about their relationship or something. Instead it's back to their BS. Episode 2 Did not like this, mostly because the side story with Summer was just the same joke over and over. Episode 3 Beth cheating on her husband with herself. Yeah, that was just uncomfortable, on, at least a couple of levels. Episode 4 Kind of interesting, but how many episodes does this make (this season alone) where Rick could have easily solved the problem by doing something simple? After a while it stops being funny and starts getting annoying. Episode 5 Overall okay, the story was original with a few laughs along the way. Episode 6 "Monkeys went bald?" That was the funniest line in this whole season. Episode 7 This was just too meta for me. Who am I kidding, this was too meta for Deadpool. Episode 8 In my opinion the best episode in the season. The main and side story was fun, we got some insight into Rick's psyche, and we got to see one of the best side characters again, Dr. Wong. She's the only character in the show that can always put Rick in his place. Episode 9 When Morty saw the Earl of Earth (looks like Santa Claus) he should have said "Santa! You're not dead!?" (a callback to Morty's Mindbenders) Not a bad episode but not a good episode either. I think it needed more focus, the story is just all over the place. Episode 10 Rick replaced himself with a robot in the last episode to work on finding Rick Prime. That makes no sense, there was nothing to make him want to do that in the last episode. Why not have it where he replaced himself with a robot at the after episode 1, wouldn't that have been a great twist? Also if the lightsaber did make it to the Earth's core, wouldn't the core just burn it up? And why did the president suddenly turn on Morty? I didn't really like this finale but I am curious to see the hunt for Rick Prime.

Sorry but the fiest episode alone was one of the weakest ones yet. And they just completely gave up on realism as a whole, whenever a character dies or something serious is about to happen they simply make everything go back to normal, seriously tiresome to watch at this point

Why do you people love season 6 so much? What exactly did it fix from seasons 4-5? NOTHING! Besides making Jerry an actual character which doesn't mean shit since he's not the main character. Rick and Morty are worse than they ever been. Rick has the worst character growth I ever seen and Night Family was the most non Rick and Morty episode in terms of gags.
