my opinion is that i like both old and new roblox, i kinda like rthro but i wont just wear a full rthro body and call it a day. i'd try and mix it with layered clothing, make a semi human-like character, or use rthro legs to make a centaur looking character. for games, it depends on how good the game is. if the game is older but has things like interesting mechanics or a cool artstyle, ill like it. if the game is newer and is an fps game, i wont like it. wether you like old or new roblox is completely up to someones mind, not statistics.

Well but the Simulators and Tycoons are ruined bcuz most of these are really P2W and are really Unfair so if you are a F2P player then you wont enjoy the games as much as when you pay in them. The games are not the same.

to be honest, old roblox was so much better. and it would be worth using it to get rid of the disease. plus it also gets rid of gamefam. Old Roblox, compared to new, has alot of details and effects on people you might not expect. Not just does it effect the opinions of others, but actually old Roblox encourged others to go outside more and made others more used to having and enjoying games with less freedoms. This leaves less room for creativity, yes, however, it also encourages others to go outside and invest in their own interests as not just does Roblox then have the ability to hold those certain interests, but it inspires others and encourages others despite the fact that it can't carry it itself. This helps others go out in the real world and design games of their own interests and also do digital art and modeling. Similarly in a way where "If you want it, then go make it yourself." applies. It gives children a healthy mindset and encourages others to go touch grass for the first time in their pitiful lives. The new Roblox, however, is less encouraging and more of the type to suck you in until there is nothing left. You see, while it encourages others to create for their own, it isn't for the reason some users expect. With the more restrictions in old Roblox, developers commonly pay more attention to their games and sometimes even have a reason to back up why they end up failing in some points. After all, sometimes it can help you mentally if there is a reason for something. This encourages the developer to still overcome it. But, as Roblox becomes more flexible, slowly and slowly that reasoning fades away and soon there is not much left to blame. This sometimes can lead to self-blame, encouraging the developer to quit as "Their work won't be as good as the others since they can't get past this one thing." Not just that, but it brings in a lack of challenge. And sure, its fun working with something that is easy to work with and the expectations in old Roblox were a bit low, but have you seen the amount of things that have been created? Not just is it not as entertaining to work with anymore as there are a lack of challenges now, but expectations are rising and more. Certain passions are slowly becoming unfit but this is only talking about the point of a developer's point of view. (Not all points would be seen as the same, as a note.) In old Roblox, there were also certain fun challenges to overcome. Thankfully, ones with the avatar system have become creator in a point where its encouraging you to express your creativity and there are communities surrounding that. (The main issue I see is with payment and etc.) However, there is a great issue when it comes with the games. Slowly, as the games, or should I say EXPERIENCES, improve, others become less inclined to go outside and touch grass for the very first time in their pitiful lives. While this problem doesn't really lie much in Roblox, Roblox does act as a great factor in it. (I bet for some of you that if Roblox shut down, you guys would have nothing to do in your lives at all.) There are a few people who are on their devices for a healthy amount of time, but its becoming harder and harder to find those types of people. Now, the issue isn't because of their eyesight but overcoming and coping with challenges that come. Roblox constantly feeds entertainment and inspiration. But as you get older, that entertainment might fade away. You will get bored and soon it will just be seen as "That one rip off pixelated lego game made for babies under the age of 3". But here's the thing. Roblox constantly FEEDS entertainment. But it never teaches kids to make their own. And don't forget, some forms of entertainment bring in inspiration. And where does that inspiration go? Basically nowhere. So that inspiration just floats around in a child's brain and sometimes they are used to even using that as entertainment. But when the time comes around to use it? Sure, they can throw it out in the wild but when that inspiration runs out from that video game, basic ideas will fail to come to mind and some might not even find it appealing. It might even lead to them becoming stuck since they depended on some stupid video game to feed it to them to the point where they aren't used to using their brains like that anymore. (too lazy to finish lmao go ahead and ask if you want me to finish this.)

hello there! interesting outlook on the debate of old roblox vs. new roblox your points are fair enough, but a lot of it doesn't really have anything to do with why old roblox was better. in fact, i feel like this whole first rant mostly explains its points by essentially saying old roblox is the opposite of good... i wouldn't want to play a game if it was so boring it just made me want to go outside more, which is technically a good thing, yet it has nothing to say about the platform itself. Nobody in 2007 would've really noticed or cared if there was less freedom, so the argument that the lack of creative potential encourages children to instead go touch grass for the first time in their pitiful lives doesn't really go anywhere. most kids probably just liked roblox because of how colorful, silly, and blocky it was. And if it really was better, doesn't that mean kids were more likely to stay instead of going outside? but i do honestly find it kind of funny how pressed kids get whenever roblox shuts down for 10 milliseconds 💀 and about the whole "lack of challenge" thing, i would argue it is the complete opposite. studio nowadays is of course easier to use and navigate, but actually making a game to put up with the relative standards of the platform, even taking the flexibility, innovation, and lack of limitations, and yada yada ya into account, is much, much more difficult. old roblox does have a lot of limitations, but it's not like roblox users back then weren't used to it. that was just the way things started out. In fact, it actually made building roblox games so much easier, because to make a high quality game for its time, you didn't NEED to reinvent the wheel because the limitations pretty much forced your game to be like most of everyone else's. i of course, am not saying old roblox wasn't better. there are a lot of things that the classic era did a lot better in my opinion. i personally prefer the simplicity and colorfulness. however, you could explain your reasons for prefering old roblox in better ways than linking it to the real world, as we're not talking about the real world... However, I do like how committed you are to your own opinion, and if you think it is really THIS MUCH better, then I ain't stopping you. i will update this soon because i literally need to go to bed its almost 3 am please help meeeeee and my eyes hurt. please tell me if i misunderstood something or if there are any holes in my reasoning.

@@egghead9814 lol, i get it. the point i was coming from was a way of seeing it as "don't like it? well then, go ahead and do it yourself." kind of like a way to promote others to actually create things outside of roblox to make more money, compared to getting ripped off by like 70% or something. both provide major benefits and major disadvantages to put it evenly but despite the fact that roblox would only be a concept for very few years, i am not really looking for roblox being just better through health and stuff. (even though i bet it would be alot better for quite the amount of people that i will not call names by) my overall statement can be biased though since roblox does not listen at all nowadays and i dispise looking at those slowly blinking faces on the lego characters.

@@thatonemelody you know what, that is very fair. i was a bit put off but thank you for clarifying. it does make a lot of sense that the limitations wouldn't be meant to make it "harder," but to simply promote kids to instead make BETTER use of their creative potential, while also having good fun with the platform. there are definitely many cons with the whole idea of getting paid from roblox games, which is basically what started all of those copy and paste games, simulators, and blah blah blahhh just to make a quick buck. because no one back then cared about making money, they paid more attention to their games, bringing more uniqueness and general fun to the platform, even if the games were insanely low quality. however, i think if you search long enough, you will find great roblox games hidden in the massive garbage pile that it is today. i really wish they brought back the genre search... but i think neither is the answer. my ideal roblox is a combination of all the good things from both worlds. a modern roblox WITH the addition of soul, colour, and great events sounds like a fantastic platform. if i took control of roblox, this is how it would be. just bringing back old roblox is not a good idea, no matter how good it was. it'll never give us the same charm that it did when it REALLY happened, and it just feels ingenuine. maybe as an april fools joke or an anniversary event for a week but that's it LOL. thanks for the conversation. this was really interesting.

as a 2019 player, i joined early roblox when ugc doesnt still exist, but jailbreak is also a part of old roblox.

As someone who's main account joined in 2013 (had older ones but kept forgetting the passwords and usernames to them because I was a dumb kid), but the only thing I can even bring myself to give modern Roblox props for (at least at face value) is its vastly superior servers and game engine. But that's where it stops, creativity was forced to scurry away in the shadows to avoid the destructive gaze of corporatism and profits. Fun stopped being the priority when the constant churning of shitty anime fighting games and knockoff cookie clickers that Roblox desperately shoves in your face through an awful algorithm that snuffs out any potential for competent and fun games to see the light of day. The exact day they removed the genre browser was when all hell broke loose. Less people were trying a variety of games, meaning less games got attention and a culture of meta gaming and toxic competitiveness began to bloom. So many people stopped playing for the sake of hopping in, having fun, goofing off, and maybe making friends. Now it's an unmanageable tide of oders and toxic little shits who just have to get the most expensive thing in a game that'll be forgotten in a few months time when a new trend springs up to milk dry of any profits.

i love using old roblox studio clients because of features like html pages and controller cars so i would say the only reason to play old roblox nowadays is for cool old features, also UGC kinda existed because user made cloths existed and also there was a series of hats using bookmesh2 that where user re textured

Old Roblox is better in terms of community and the simplicity allowed us all to be more creative and use our imaginations better. The new features they added recently did somewhat improve Roblox, but the community has since become mostly garbage.

when ppl say they like old roblox they dont mean prehistric times they mean like 1-4 years or older versions of there fav games

you dont miss old roblox, you miss old people that had diff aspects

Well my opnion is that old roblox is my favorite even if i joined in 2021 1. Events - there was eggs hunts rb battles and etc but unfortunately it was removed and never coming back 2. Avatar - no more inappropriate avatars EX : muscles 3. Games - no inappropriate games also i do like natural disaster piggy and work at a pizza place probably No hate please🤧
