The VR youtubers did this game dirty. Sure, it wasn't the AAA game we wanted but it was fun in it's own way. Playing on the highest difficulty, kiting with melee weapons and understanding walker spawnpoints were the way to go. The upgraded hammer was OP, especially in the late game

I played through it and 100% when it came out even though there were lots of bugs, which are mostly fixed now. It was pretty fun even though you don't get the cool weapons until the end. One thing I dont like is how walkers can die without being shot or hit in the head.

Thanks for your thoughts. I have long wondered if a lot of the negativity around the game was a bit sensationalized, and your experience, though subjective, seems to support that view.

On day one of release, the background for the shop owner was literally a 2D picture of guns and weapons. A few days later they filled his room with actual weapons and supplies from the game. I think they messed up the release big time, and I hope their next game is as good as the first Saints and Sinners

I bought this for psvr and it was pretty good, the KZreadrs definitely sealed this games fate..!!

It's worth a play through. The supply raids with the "horde" chasing you are mildly fun. I really like the upgraded AR. Personally, I find the lighting / graphics / art passing incredibly ugly. It's just disappointing because this game had HUGE potential, but just falls short in every way possible. It really felt to me like a proof of concept alpha build that needed WAY more time to polish the mechanics / visuals / story...literally everything. As it stands, its a mildly satisfying, clunky, and somewhat ugly arcade-like game. When you combine this with the fact that S&S was released the same year, and did everything better, it really made this game take a back seat.

I'm not keen on all the ghost hands and bite icons. I'll see what I can turn off next session and then maybe mod some of it out.

I would enjoy seeing more of this game in the future! Now sure some of the mechanics seem clunky. Other than that it looks like an overall fun game! I have put 100s of hours into the saints & sinners game (and other walkin dead games), so it's interesting seeing the different choices devs/companies did for each. thanks for te video!

I'm not entirely sure that any do. Perhaps the Hunters Stash. If it's an object collecting task I'm pretty sure it's either map. The dev will be updating with night maps where it's bandits underground, which will be good for those who don't wish to face the demons.

They couldn't even get Andrew Lincoln to do the voice for Rick in this

I think a decent bit of the hate behind this game is one that is not original and two because of the success of saints and sinners which has more survival mechanics instead of rogue-like mechanics which is how I see the mechanics of the game that's what it looks like but I haven't seen very much Edit: wow I did not realize how horrible the mechanics of this game are Saints and Sinners makes this game look terrible

I hadn't thought of it as a rogue-like game, but I see what you mean now. The one hand for this, and other hand for that mechanic is very clunky I'll have to see how usable it is as I put more playtime into future episodes.
