also like, dinwiddie and cwood went from dal to LA and their shots and usage cratered. any mavs fan knows thj got SHOTS up on this team. he had a higher usg than klay last season. klay will get touches here

What people don’t get about kyrie nd Luka it is they don’t wanna be that ball dominant they want to get guys involved but those guys act like they either scared to shoot or can shoot open shots they want a guy to shoot and clay to do that

My problem with the mavs is even with the addition of a shooter, the Celtics proved you don’t need superstars. You just need a bunch of guys who can chip in when needed. Watching the finals I didn’t feel Tatum or brown did anything at all that made me think they are superstars. Their team carried them. With OKC adding size I don’t think the mavs will have their shot again.

Tatum and Brown may not be "superstars", but they're both definitely "stars" that come pretty damn close. I'd even argue that JB is better than Kyrie now. Jrue and KP are also stars. White and Horford are borderline stars. THAT'S why the Celtics were so good. Outside of LuKai, the Mavs didn't have anybody that was anything more than a decent role player, and those decent role players weren't even there for a full season. Now the Mavs not only have had more time to jel, but they got a legit third scorer that can space the floor and help take the offensive load (and defense) off LuKai. How are teams gonna throw doubles at Luka and Kyrie when Klay is standing at the 3pt line? D-Live also won't be a rookie anymore and Grimes is one of the better perimeter defenders in the league so there's that. OKC did upgrade their roster, but the Mavs upgraded on both offense and defense too. We'll see what happens. Hopefully the Mavs go after Precious. He's exactly what they need after loading up on wings and guards.
