Subscribed. I just saw a homeless man under a sheet of plastic while it was basically freezing rain outside, and I could tell he was on the bare ground. He’s probably either mentally ill, an addict, or whatever but I don’t even keep my backyard chickens in conditions like that-let alone leave an old man like that. I’m here to learn how to best help him but I don’t have a lot of extra money. I’m going to look for similar gear to yours on Temu or Wish and hopefully I can find some affordable items to give to him. I’m going to start with a double person tent, blanket, and a fire starter.

Thank you for being willing to help. No way to know his situation; but, not all people who are on the street are alcoholics or druggies; sometimes things out of your control just happens & that's where you end up. Some are able to get off the street and unfortunately some people aren't able to.

One of the best mats for the homeless are plastic grocery bags cut in rings, hooked together and crocheted into a rectangle . It’s light weight, drained well and a good thermal break. The plastic bag yarn is called plarn. Lots of KZread how tos. Good for you!

I always try to buy something that at least looks and feels like its gona last more than a year. Im surprised to having bhought a decent knife for bushcraft thats made in china. Ok no handle but its solid and full tang. With red rope wrapped through and around for grip. I did some batoning, carving and cutting with it. If i sharpen it again now, then it will be the 3rd time i sharpen it. Ok i dont use it everyday but for what i did like batoning and carving than after cleaning , being able to cut meat easily. Well its the money worth for me. Just the sheath is material so i want my one friend to see if he can make a sheath for the knife from kydex material.

Down here in sandy Florida they'd be useless, but up in the Blue Ridge Mountains they are the only type that'll work in the rocky hardpack! The typical plastic pegs will shatter trying to drive them in.

A pretty honest review of online available camping gear that won't cost an arm and a leg. It survived it's first use so it will be quite usable for some more camping trips, now that you know it's limitations. Thoroughly enjoyable video! Thanks!

Best tent I've ever had cost me £20 new from a bargain shop. It sleeps 4 comfortably, has 2 inner sleeping pods with bug nets and groundsheets, but doesn't have an overall integral groundsheet, so I use a small tarp for the middle section. It's perfect short trips.

@beatlesboy95 cool I live in a forest in east texas in the US. It's been legal to open carry a long gun all my life, lately its become legal to open carry a side arm, the problem with law enforcement is they are sometimes there after a crime but rarely when you are being assaulted, I lost my daughter to gang violence called the cops three times for help 4 days later they showed up. A big city on the gulf coast. I don't hide because there are bad people. I prepare for them.

If you make a slip knot it is much easier to truss you cuts of meat. Tie a loop on one end. Place your item on top of the butcher's twine. Thread the tag end through the loop and pull to desired tension. Then just pass the tag end under the string 2 or 3 times to lock it down on itself. I usually just do one long piece and work my way down the cut of meat. Works especially well for pork loins as well as pork and beef tenderloin. Cheers my friend.

Everything was believable until you got the tent back in the bag it came in. No man / woman in the history of human civilisation has ever achieved this. 🤣 Me and my wife bought. a new tent two weeks ago and we both agreed tents should come with two bags, one it's shipped in and one which you can actually pack it back into.... I'm definitely going to use the cheesy bean tacos recipe as a " just something I threw together" snack
