I have no idea what you are talking about, I play as the A-10 early and I average 3-7 kills per game with around 10-25 ground targets destroyed with more than half flares remaining, although its probably because Ive been playing so much A-10 that I have gotten used to it.

@@thejason1054 I think he's referring more to the kind of player that plays each of them, the early being a premium and accessible to everyone with a credit card is often flown by new/bad players while the late is flown by people who've grinded rank 7 air

What else is annoying is how expansive planes are I had to get into tanks to buy planes but I had too much fun and now I'm 7.0 in like 4 countries and is only at 5.7 for planes in one country and I still haven't bought the plane.... I got carried away

As a former War Thunder Air RB player, I can confirm I use a strat from a 2.3 bomber at 5.3 with the JU188 and did about marginally worse.

landing gear has wheels with brakes, the entire belly of your plane is just a more efficient brake

Final countdown clip with the tomcats was great. Loved that movie especially since it was literally a navy exhibition movie and they were purposely trying to show off all their cool stuff to the masses so not only was it a kinda fun movie to watch, all the tech (save for the accidental time travel) was all real and in use at the time

I relate to too many of these with my BV-238. Half my deaths are from XP-50s blowing my tail off on their way back from the upper echelons of the stratosphere, and I’m forced to land without gear on 90% of the maps.

@GreenWithers None of that makes a difference when my pilots are sniped from 2km away, and the turrets all converge at around 600 meters away, so unless the interceptor is within 600 meters, the turrets won’t be doing much.

Landing without gear on aircraft that have shitty breaks or when you are already damaged are the only reasons one should ever land without using gear. If undamaged you risk damaging your aircraft and even repairing whilst at the airfield uses money also not being able to just J out and respawn within seconds. Only time you should land without gear is if you are damaged and will already have to wait for repair.

landing without gear doesnt damage your plane if you do it correctly, and if it does it shows black wings at most but still with my crew it takes usually 10/15 seconds to replenish fuel/ammo or repair if damaged by gunfire

I belly land when I'm: 1. In a ground RB game, where i have to land fast and take off fast. Taking time to slow down and land properly when im going like 650km/h isn't worth it. 2. Its not just teh premiums, they are actually second place. The worst "Grind Defenders" are long-term players, tryhards/sweatlords and generally vers good players. Some of them are even so elitist, they want to make the grind harder for reasons like "So me feeling of pride and accomplishment is stronger" and "Like that, we can keep the noobs away that ruin our perfect winrates". I´m still not sure what is worse, these guys or the peopel that defend the scarcity of all those event and premium vehicles, because "Rare Collectible".

Landing without gear is really only viable at a BR where airfield AAA actually does something.

Even with premium time and vehicle it's pretty time consuming to get to top tier in terms of RP alone, let alone SL if you're playing ground RB

I really only land without landing gears on my Kikka and 262s. At least with those things you can skid using the bottoms of the engines.

I use the a10 as multi role cas in realistic ground battles and I find it effective depending on enemy radar support, usually I use maverick ATGMs for AA then I start strafing everything else

Even using a premium vehicle and premium time averaging 5 kills per game at at least 1 zone cap with 70-85 percent activity the grind is still miserable, it takes months to years even with premium to have a top tier lineup.
