It would be shameful not to give this show another season, at the very least. Excellent television.

Hope this isn't the end of Ah Toy and Nellie! Can't wait for Ah Toy and Lai to get revenge. Worried Lai might die because Strickland's henchman is a wildcard. Racism, politics. deportation...it's scary how much the show reflects our present day. Some things never change. Mai Ling and YJ got out of jail. Father Jun is back again (I think he's gonna die). Ah Sahm making a deal with the Long Zhii, which YJ doesn't like. Mai Ling and Li Yong are gonna get married. Chao and Lee getting kidnapped by Happy Jack. Excited to see what happens next!

Yeah I think Ah Toy is being unfair to Nellie for sure. I hope she lets Nellie in on the revenge on Strickland because she deserves to get a piece of that. Strickland’s henchman is a wild boy so I too am worried that one of the girls is gonna get killed by him. Yeah the themes in the show 100% echo what we tend to repeat in human history which is very unfortunate

This was good episode. I can’t wait for episode 6

A lot of stuff building now that we’re at the midpoint. Definitely think it’s one of the best episodes of the series.

This episode was so good, idk if it’s my personal fave of the season so far but it had so many great moments. I LOVE young Juns character so much so it was great to see him so much this episode and his action scene was dope. Not gonna lie tho I was like 95% sure Father Jun was gonna die trying to escape 😭 super happy he made it and can’t wait to see what’s next for him and his son, having him back around to talk to is gonna be REALLY good for Young Jun I. Think

Yeah I was worried for a second that Father Jun was gonna sent back to China. Perry Yung is such a badass actor so it’s good to see him stick around

I am VERY curious to see how the Hop Wei dynamic changes with Father Jun back. He commands respect in a way that his son doesn't. Young Jun's got so much going on besides Ah Sahm that I could see him taking advice from his dad. I was afraid they brought him back to just to kill him off. And nice to see Bill standing up to the chief and getting his family back in the process.

Yeah very happy for Bill and we’ll see what he does next. The factory job from Horace is on the table but Big Bill is still about action. You’re right about the respect Father Jun commands. Usually when Kings get dethroned, they have to be killed. Otherwise their mere presence is threatening to the new king. We’ll see if Damon is right about the Six companies being involved down the line

This was an amazing episode especially with the return of the mvp of Chinatown father jun and the cliffhanger of chao and lee being kidnapped. It’s gonna be interesting to see how father jun turns the hop Wei around and how lee and chao get out of the situation with happy jack

Yeah Father Jun’s comment about “not having any power outside of the bowl” was pretty telling on his mindset…the old man is back. I’m glad they’ve given Happy Jack a bigger role, the actor playing him is electric

Absolutely, and we already know that Kong Pak respects Father Jun more than Mai Ling

Guys, Got on the Warrior train from the very first show in 2019. I've been a mega Bruce Lee fan since childhood, and he was still alive then so you get the idea how old I am. Absolutely love this show - Jonathan Tropper, Justin Lin and Shannon Lee have created a masterpiece from Bruce Lee's mere 7 or 8 page treatment. When Cinemax stopped making original programming, effectively canceling this show, I was one of the thousands of fans who petitioned HBO to revive it. Even then I was shocked to see them actually bring it back - screaming fans usually never count for much. Whatever the reason, we'll all been anxiously waiting Season 3, and holy crap if it wasn't worth the wait. As with S1 and S2, I've caught each S3 episode at least 3-5 times. And when I'm not watching the show, I'm scouring YT for review shows, which brought me to yours. Along with the official podcast with Hoon Lee and Lisa Ling, I subscribe to the Salty Nerds and Just My Opinion channels. Love hearing their often funny reviews and recaps. There's one or two others that I enjoy tuning into. But I've just discovered yours and have watched all your Warrior vids. Yours is quickly becoming my favorite. Your comments are so astute (you catch so many details that I catch and never hear about ) and hilarious. You put a lot of effort into presentation, and it shows. You guys are head and shoulders above most other reviewers. Thanks! So glad to have found you and look forward to the rest of this season. Praying for more.

Appreciate that very much! We both got into this show in 2021 so we were late to the party but very glad we discovered it. Comments like these are awesome because it lets us know that people are really enjoying our content. We only cover things that we are passionate about so it’s always great to share our passion with fellow fans. Right now it’s a big summer movie season so we have some movies like Barbie, Oppenheimer, and the Ninja Turtles to cover, but we’re realizing an episode 6/7 combined breakdown later this week so stay tuned.

I think Bill will discover Lee is missing, save him and we’ll get a buddy cop episode.

@@winterhillwarriors I think the girlfriend will come to bill and ask if he’s seen him. Then bill will know he’s missing and hunt him down. I don’t think the secret service agent is dead but he or lee will deputize bill and bill will out rank chief and be able to tell Buckley to jerk off.

Now remember her story of the tiger and fox? Mai Ling is also a fox

This more then what Mr. I sure he would like his daughter be in a great person. And bow of respect for the love. From the family.

Father Jun will act as Young Jun's war time consigliere against the Long Zii much like Vito Correleone was Michael's Correleone consigliere in The Godfather. He will give him strategies and they will eventually betray Ah Sahm. It is coming look at Season 1. They value loyalty for themselves but they are not loyal to their cohorts. It might have been a mistake by Ah Sahm but it keeps the cops and Buckley off the Hop Wei for a brief time since they have a temporary alliance with Long Zii. Big Bill will be employed by the secret service since Richard Henry Lee partner got killed off by Happy Jack goons. Wang Chou is too smart and Ah Toy and her young protege will help rescue him. Chou will blackmail Agent Lee. I still think the twist is the woman, Catherine Archer, working with Buckley is a member of Penelope's family. She will find the information and give the information to Thayer to beat Buckley. There will be a fight between Li Yong and the Kong Pak character, the tong will try to assassinate Mai Ling.

I like the comparison to the Godfather. I do also think Ah Sahm needs to chart his own path from here on out. Your point about the tension from season 1 between Father Jun and Ah Sahm is interesting. We've got a busy final half of the season left. Lot's of things still left to fall into place.

Really love your theory. I totally agree on the bill theory and didn’t even think about Catherine. Somehow Ah sahm will win in this show but I have a theory that his sister will be out of the job and will need her brother for protection at some point. I don’t know where li joon falls in this. He could help ah Sam save her and the three of them could form their own tong (the Awesome’s) or li joon could try to kill her and that could be the ah sahm showdown we look for. After all Ahtoy said in season 2 ah sahm didn’t lose because li joon was better. He lost because li joon had something to fight for. Ah sahm will fight for his sis and she will finally forgive him for not saving her from that husband. That’s how I hope it ends in hopefully future seasons.

Ah Toy and Nelly well the kiss was so hot but more than that is I want good things. Now you gotta understand that Ah Toy had a very raw deal and when she is comfortable with Nelly things break down, she is doing the its me but more like she is a wild animal so the civil thing well it just wont work. The kid she has a shot to be civil

They would play loose with the rules because young Jun was born in America so you cant deport him, first their is no port he left from and second being born in America grants him protection under the law. The issue is civil rights were not respected till around 1970 so jack is a black so kinda hard to turn over Lee for a reward even with turning in Chao

I know they aren’t killing Chao (I hope??) but I’m curious how him and Lee will get out of this one

I don’t think so, haven’t watched episode 6 yet but Chao is far too important to die this way imo

I wish the show goes on to when the a Chinese Exclusion Act law passes.

I like when they show Leary but I get the show cant all be him however I look forward to getting the fusion of him an Ah Sahm or him and a few others doing a voltron thing

Personally I think the one episode per week drop works pretty well. At two per week you’re getting pretty close to the Netflix model of just dropping the whole season at once and letting people binge it. I’m not sure which method is better for getting the show more talked about but that’s for the execs to decide

If not for mi ling Young Jun would of been departed but he still try to kill her and he knows she is his sister make no sense

He’s ultimately motivated to be the top guy this season and has always seen Mai Ling as a rival. This end of this episode marks the point where he really struggles to hide his anger which sort of impacts his decisions for the rest of the show.

Does anyone know how long has father jun been in the deportation centre
