@@fdklsklakdk7848 I think that once a certain amount of wealth is attained there becomes a point to where the person becomes more humble because they at some point realize that they can't do really anymore with billions than they can with millions and it becomes more pointless to continue to chase more. I believe they then turn more to more basic human values such as health, family, spirituality and giving to the poor.

I took a look at your advisor and she looks quite the part, I have always thought advisors overrated but taking a look at yours she gives off some confidence, might as well see what advice she has for me.

Munger and Buffett have both achieved an incredible feat with Berkshire. They've turned thousands to billions, and have made a lot of people wealthy in the process. I really saw the potential of the stock market by reading Berkshire's annual letters. I recently sold my $674k apartment in the Bel Air area and I'm hoping to throw it into the stock market. I just don't want to lose everything.

Most people either do not understand the power of compound interest, or are just impatient. For the average Joe, however, I think it is just best to invest in the S&P 500, and just wait, which is reliable, albeit extremely long-- lots of years. Or just use a professional analyst and speed up wealth creation. Most people underestimate the power of the latter.

my grandmother said the same thing to me way before warren said that ... but my grandmother wasn't wealthy at all in term of finance but now I understand after 6 years she died that she was full of wisdom.

Buffett is extremely right about finding your passion. And also, nobody can become financially successful overnight. They put in background work, but we tend to see the finished part. Fear is a dangerous component, hindering us from taking bold steps we need in other to reach our goals. I was able to increase my portfolio by $189k in months. You just have to seek for help in the right places. Nice video.

It's hard for the average Joe to do this, because it involves following a lot of industry news, following up with earnings, etc. It's easier to invest through an advisor who knows how stuff works, and make rocket returns.With the right guidance, really, the market always wins.

@Steve S I have a copy or two of Warren's biblography "The Snowball". Its written by author Alice Schroeder because Warren doesn't write these books himself. Its essentially Warren telling us his life story from his childhood to old age?( When he was in his 50s, 60s?). It details how he started learning investment, his early career, the relationship with his family. How Berkashire Hathaway came to be. Its a really important story that influenced my views on investment and life. I highly recommend anyone who's remotely interested in Warren Buffett to read it.

One gem from Warren: You don't know what will happen, but you do know what's likely to happen. That's one to retain and think about. It helps in investing.

I don't know if I'm more impressed by his success or his humbleness despite being so successful. He's a magnificent human being.

The "winking at a girl in the dark" thing still sticks with me from when he said that before

He forgot to talk about being a sorry piece of crap to his best friend and a cheat on them (like he did his wife). Many look at him as hero for being able to accumulate paper (cash), but why would you take advice from a cheater who betrayed his best friend (wife)? yea, he can give money advice, but never ask for life advice from a sorry low down cheater!!!

Warren Buffet is so friendly it awesome how he says things so lovingly that it so weird to pair so much money with so much care!!! Makes you think that money can care for others.

Key to his success is always learning, being smart about his social engagements, being happy and most importantly being humble. Just look at the smile and the humility he has. Not a quality that is common these days, that's simply because his most prized possession is not his money. WE listen to him primarily because of how much money he has; but listen to what he values more in life than money. That's why he is wealthy.

@@sonialdrena4101 : ) i know the forex market is not easy to understand and can take years of consistent practices to master but am still able to profit $7000 monthly by consulting a portfolio manager.

Warren is such a down to earth person, I like that about him

I love his definition of success !

End of last May. I picked EXTR, LMB and MOD. LMB peaked 100%\\EXTR peaked 47%\\ MOD over 300% still going. I just got into GCT , AZEK and FROG. For this year. Rock on. Stops in. Go.

Being successful for me looks like getting remarried to someone who supports my hopes to work for Railcrew Express as a bus driver and support worker for the Railroad again. It also means following through with what my bus driver union tells me to do during my rehabilitation process, even if it takes an extensive amount of time. I will know that I am blessed when I get to retire without having to spend the end of my life in a nursing home, but rather being around my family and in my own home. Successful living for me will also look like building my own dream home from an suv or Van to create my very own camper for full-time living. I really appreciate Mr. Buffet's advice for what success looks like and should feel like.
