I just got a pair & been using it for about a week now. So far it's good. I was like oh no they're going to say they hate it. 😂 I would agree and say that using them for detail is good. The BIG plus for me is the magnet guards, battery life, light weight & ergonomically friendly build.👍

I've owned the black 50 cals about 2yrs and wanted to love them but they wouldn't cut anything. I changed cutting blade to wahl stagger tooth and figured out how to make quiet but still no cut. Tried and tried about a year and decided to try andis blade and senior cutter. Let me tell you, I haven't touched any other clipper since! I absolutely love this thing now. The issue is in the tension spring. It is pressing down so hard for that little thin blade but that it is causing too much friction and making it loud when you swap cutting blades. Almost like it corded t-outliner when the tension is too tight.

Thanks for video 🎥. Am considering getting the Gama clippers. As far as the 50 Caliber goes. I. Myself. Have never had them bog down on "me". I still use them. But I want to pick my game up. Invest in my equipment. (I just got the Hitters. Am very satisfied with them.) Improve results of my craft. So. Yeah. That's where I'm at right now.

I just got the .50 Cal Mag, and they are good. I think you should contact Caliber and try their warranty service to see how well they support the customer since it sounds like you got a defective unit. It seems on website that the Calibers have 4-5 hour runtime. The Gamma+ has about 2 hour runtime.

Great video, thank you for taking the time brother! I work at a shop in Ontario Canada called Vintage Throne 💈 A fellow barber and I use both the .50 cal and the ergo but for exactly what they’re best for, detailing. Got my Oster Octanes for bulk and still loving my Wahl Magics for everything else. The magnetic motors are second to none for detailing but that’s their purpose in your lineup I think at least 🤘🏻

For whatever reason, I don't know why. But the Stylecraft ergos hit harder, the motor feels lot stronger than the Gamma+.. Ill always buy stylecraft rather than gamma.. 👍

What clippers do you recommend that's strong and will cut thru bulk. I have, Andis, oster, Wahl, and definitely babyliss! I just ordered the gamma+ xergo. Looking to upgrade. I been a barber for 39 years and a instructor for 33. Just need advice on the new line of clipper! Thanks

Try the style craft instincts. Super light and small but now through anything.

Great video. But honestly I still like my fast feeds with the ceramic blade better then most clippers😂I can’t wait till they make the cordless fast feeds.

I noticed on the 50 cals they run a lot smoother when you don't try and zero gap em like a normal clipper... the zero gap on em is different! also throw that fast feed blade on em S. Craft im tellin u bro!!! smackers!!

Its worth it 100% the battery life is amazing and they have power i use them for all cuts

50 cal I went through two pairs and both of them broke. the spring in the inside snapped just didn’t bother with them again

Hey, I'm sorry you had a bad experience w caliber. I have recently got my hands on them (.50 cal mag 2nd edition) and I like them. They have a fade blade and its extremely quiet which is nice because the rotary clippers now are very noisey. They handle bulk pretty well and I love the weight on them.

Reminds me of the 50’s too. I did have an issue like you did with the bald but I just grabbed a wahl fade blade and had great success with detailing. I just got a bad stationary blade . I bought two one cut amazing the other struggled but that blade switch made the difference. Great review and look at the gammas.

Yeah sometimes the clipper just is a bad egg. Hopefully you experience a nice pair. They are heavier so maybe the ergo because it’s lighter be better in the long run. Love your fades 🙏

They are sharp for sure!

Just like the Caliber, that thin cutting blade will not continue to cut down bulk! It will fail every time. Detail work fine, but Calibers are good for detail work as well. Definitely NOT an all purpose clipper! FACTS

Yea my .50 cal don't cut through bulk either I haven't tried the new model .50 cal though

I had same experience with 50 cal. Bogs down easy. Blades move fast but no power

I was just talking to bossio on the academy about how similar these look to the caliber 50 cals. I don’t really have issues with power on the 50cals but I mostly use them for the fades and don’t really remove bulk with them. Also I’m not an og like you guys so my judgment might not be as good as y’all. The issue I had most with those was how they would snag with the super thin still blade tips cuz I’m sort of heavy handed. But bossio was tellin me these feel more powerful than those so I might have to give these a try in the future too. But that can wait till after my jrl 2020’s come in. I got in on the first pre order so they coming in soon. Thinking about starting a channel and reviewing those

I’ve had a couple that was no problem to zero gap but I had one that just wouldn’t. You may need to contact them for a new bracket

I tried the ceramic cutting blade with the regular blade, master blade, wahl blade and fastfeed blade and all did the same so it may just be my clipper 🤷🏼‍♂️

Them trimmers are fireeeeee out the box ! I've had mine for over a year and they have yet to dull.

I would contact caliber about those clippers. I have the 2nd gen 50 caliber clippers and they are flawless. Maybe you have a bad set.

I got one but I hce to be honest if you use and love rotary motors this is not your clipper it's good to cut details and finish but you should know that. Another cons you can't put a wahl vuutong blade the only cutting that can put its the ceramic mágic clip cordles blade ceramic OK no metal but it's better the original Chinese blade yes its chinesse o sold a lot of Chinese magnetic clipper and they have the same cutting blade thee is a lot of clippers same that gamma ergo you have (the same guards same box same blades same charger all same) Kiepe Gama 10 Caliber (but they put a extra battery) And one more that call bullet I don't remember exactly the name. Alñ that clippers are the same so choose the cheaper so they are exactly same clipper. It's a good clipper but you don't expect a power clipper. Change the upper blade for a std wahl blade the stock superior blade its not good its a chinesse blade Sorry my English

Kevon Chandler it’s a bit loud, all the old master barbers who taught me used Masters. Just so quite and smooth. They could’ve did justice to it’s old self instead of making it like most cordless clippers. Just super loud

Very disappointed in the .50 cal clipper and the Gamma blade looks just like it.

You’re crazy! Not even a free clipper. I did that lighting in my bedroom. Trying to set up a studio for recording so that I can grow my channel with better content. You don’t know me obviously. My word is all I got. When I say I’m not supported by any clipper company I mean that. They just hit me up and said thanks for the honest review and they’ll send me some gamma absolutel hitters but that’s it. I’m trying to put out content that people want to see or that I don’t see a lot of. Even after dropping 30 videos in 30 days I barely made $300 for all the hours I put into recording and editing. I can make that in 2 haircuts. Definitely not ALL about the money homie
