I'd say alcohol was a factor for the Captain and all the passengers. While personal responsibility is always key in avoiding disaster, the Captain has an obligation to see that the boat is being operated in a safe and prudent manner. Letting passengers sit on the cap in heavy seas violates that responsibility.

Nobody seemed too worried about him falling in and nobody deployed a throw able flotation device. That Captain needs a Coast Guard inspection.

Those old school Boston Whaler Outrages May not be the best looking boats in the world, but they are quite possibly the most perfectly designed boats ever. I've never seen any other boat, Regardless of its size, handle the rough water like they do.

Just this past weekend we had a swimmer drown at one of our beaches here in northeast Florida. These boaters are beyond ignorant, and extremely lucky to be able to go home at the end of the day. Currents and rip currents are no joke. Even when you're fully alert and sober many still drown. And as a fellow boater this really sickens me. The level of carelessness is ridiculous.

Nobody put their drink down to help him up. Priorities. He almost landed in the blender.

I think there needs to be a mandatory Wavy Boats video all captains need to watch before attempting to leave or return into any inlet like Haulover or Boca. These situations can go bad so fast.

Falling off the jet ski like Gumby was the dead give away there! Also, forget your damn phone! I don’t think anyone realized how dangerous that situation actually was. If he got swept under the hull he’d have a 12,000lb boat crushing him!

Lol! The lone guy on the ski @1:05 had at least 3 life wests on his ski, while i bet there was zero on the boat.

Never commented before but... the overboard guy was wasted on whatever his poison was and the captain was absolutely responsible for his passengers. These folk who ride in the bow of the boats they're on shouldn't be there, surely there should be a hard and fast rule saying so? They come down with such a clatter that some of these people surely have injuries, even I feel it through the screen!!!

He is very lucky. My uncle fell out the back of a boat and the props chewed up his legs where he lost 75% of his muscle. They were picking seaweed and cleaning the open cuts for 6 hours at the hospital. Very lucky this guy was

That was thoroughly entertaining from start to finish.

The girls just watched him fall off the back in slow motion. They didn't even move an inch to try and stop him.

Going out the inlet standing up and holding the t top is usually your best bet, gotta use those knees as shock absorbers.

I continue to be amazed that there aren't a couple of dozen boating related fatalities every week in south Florida.

It’s a pretty common theme I’ve noticed in these types of videos, if the person goes over with a phone or glasses, they’d rather allow their head to go under the water in order to use their hands to hold their devices/belongings up. I get that material items are expensive, but even if you know how to swim/tread with your legs… phone and glasses don’t mean anything if you’re not alive to use them. This guy seemed to be slightly impaired, IMO with how he first fell off the boat… that and exhaustion from treading and holding that phone or whatever it was is why he fell off the jetski. This all could have been really bad… it practically was anyway.
