That blanket thing that you were talking about is a bedroll. It was wrapped around the the torso because it helped and protecting from saber slashes

Thank you, for some reason the word ‘bedroll’ escaped me during recording. 😆

your task is so simplified in painting where i have hat range prussians and need to glue arms and backpacks before i can even start with a white primer and then paint after i base them one by one

First time I'm watching this one. I hope I get much Prussians looking as good! Just one thing about the backpacks - I think that thing bulging off the back of them is a metal canteen

Thank you Mike, and good catch on the canteen.
They look amazing!If I start collecting Napoleonic’s I will definitely go for epic.brilliant work!

Dude, GW needs to get you on their books, I love the way you work those contrast paints. It makes the job seem so much quicker with such amazing results. Top stuff as always! I hope Warlord continue these epic battles but perhaps drive into other periods of history, Anglo-Zulu war would be awesome as would any Medieval period!

Thanks mate. All the noises from Warlord suggest there will be lots more Epic, not only Napoleonics expanded into other nations, but other periods as well - I think it will keep me busy for a while.

@@MiniatureRealms would you use the same recipe and process on 28mm??? I have both...I don't like Blucher and his Prussians (Napoloeon fan) but they are nice and seem easy to paint up...Great series...I love them all...
@MiniatureRealms
Жыл бұрын
Yes absolutely, I’m painting many of my 28mm Projects with the same methods.

Great vid Stuart ad always , quick question what would be a contrast substitute for the army painter blue? Not keen on the AP range , thanks
@MiniatureRealms
Жыл бұрын
Thank you. Contrast Ultramarine is very close, I use the AP one as it’s a little bit richer in colour (as doesn’t have a bad reactivation issue).
Very nice thanks, I have some Prussians ready to do. Accepting that contrast paints are thinner, do you think they stand up to wargame handling the same as traditionally painted figures do, or should some extra varnish go onto them etc?
@MiniatureRealms
Жыл бұрын
I’d say varnishing is wise, not sure they need any extra, especially as they’re plastic minis.
@norm977

@@MiniatureRealms thanks, yes, I think the plastic is less vulnerable to the paint rubbing than metals are.
Do you use magnifying glasses or a magnifying glass.... If so where can I find one ? I am am in between magnifying glasses and a magnifying glass and am always open to new ideas....

I’m afraid I don’t really, I’ve recently started using reading glasses, but haven’t needed to use further magnification yet.

@@MiniatureRealms Thanks for the reply. I've not got the greatest of eyes and am looking into a magnifying glass or reading glasses to get the small details. Thanks again!
