I was wondering too how they would adapt Warioware for the Switch, as it uses less motion controls than the Wii, and is less touchscreen friendly than 3DS and WiiU...and the idea of directly controlling the cast of characters is perfect. Especially that the Warioware cast is so distinct, and recognizable. I'm excited for it.

@@juleeO6183 Ironically, they are using the star feature of the Switch. The Wii's thing was motion controls. The Switch's thing is being able to play it anytime, anywhere and with anyone. This is actually multiple people at the same time, not taking it in turns.

For me warioware is a must have Nintendo game you need in your library. This game will be perfect for killing time

So now that we know the roster size, considering what we've seen, it'll look something like this - 1 - Wario 2 - Cricket 3 - 18-Volt 4 - Mona 5 - Dribble & Spitz 6 - Dr. Crygor 7 - 9-Volt 8 - Ashley 9 - Mike 10 - Orbulon 11 - Jimmy T 12 - Kat & Ana 13 - ??? Penny still has a chance, but tbh it'll probably be like Lulu or 5-Volt

They seem similar in gameplay and during their presentation they noted that Dribble and Spitz were duo characters in that they worked very similarly and were fit for multiplayer. They implied other characters would work like this too, and Kat & Ana definitely fit the bill.

Always looking forward to the new warioware cutscenes when entering the stage. My favorites are 9-Volt, Young Cricket and Ashley. So Excited!

I was kind of worried that the microgames would be less wacky and fun because of the whole characters mechanic, but after seeing it in action I'm so on board.

Yes, this looks so cool! I thought they would use the Joycons like Super Mario Party or even Smooth Moves but I like this too. 😁

I love the creativity of this series, although it can be a bit wacky at times. I suppose they could have done more with motion controls, IR camera, rumble, but doing multiplayer and multiple characters is a good call. WarioWare has always been about the gimmicks, but this one may be more approachable and "party" than the past titles. Excited to play this one.

I think the concern was regarding Lite users and the general consensus that games primarily focused on motion controls (after the Wii era, and excluding VR, of course) don't exactly have mass appeal. Then again, WarioWare was always niche. But yeah, they could have included a separate mode utilizing the Joy-Cons' capabilities to the fullest. Seems like a missed opportunity.

This game looks great! Definitely gonna be buying it off launch. Co-op looks amazing as well! Dribble and spitz is a such a cool concept.
