it was so detailed and very well put together, but this video became perfect the minute Alex Jones popped up.

Every knight on that battlefield insta-humbled by the sight of unarmoured barely-armed peasants tackling a Lady-damned Bloodthirster of Khorne into a pillar of fire. A fantastic play and the peasants really pulled their weight that game. An excellent battle report, loved both armies! Its so cool to see creative, well-painted armies locking shields!

Fun battle report and beautiful armies! I play Bretonians and there is a cool trick with your Prophetess and Damsel. When in a unit of knights with a strength of 10 or more - you can put her on the battle line, charge, cast an asailment spell at your buffed initiative from the charge. Then retire her to the back with the "shield of the lady ability " where she can still cast other spells and dispel. This is a great way to take out more on the enemy front line and reduce attacks back. More for combat res too. That ability states she can retire , "at any time" !

I have many fond memories of 6th edition, but my main army back then, the High Elves....not so good rules. Overpriced archers! Weak elite infantry! Intrigue at Court! But I tuned my list, mastered it, and got really good with them! Once 7th edition came with Always Strikes First...I did not like that rule. It felt cheap. I don't want to win games using cheap "feels bad" rules. I want a nicely-balanced army. I think Old World does that for us. I really like the new game! Oh, Lore Familiar is excellent. I like to give one to my Night Goblin Shaman. It lets me choose Evil Sun Shinin', to let my 40 block of Night Gobbos with spears reroll 1's to hit and have a -1AP. Along with Itchy Nuisance, that can make them quite nasty. Not to mention the Fanatics they launch.

6th edition high elves were actually quite balanced. But you had to bring archmage with book of Hoeth and a couple of scroll caddies. If you were playing super competitively you would bring Teclis as well. Generally it restricted list building because you had to bring the book of hoeth, but I think currently old world is what sixth edition should have been.

A friend played High Elves. He said the same thing about archers. There must be something in that ;) Lore Familiar really is good. I'm starting to get scared of Goblins reading what you've written. Not a bad combo! :)

We played for smaller points earlier. We started with 1000 pts and gradually increased. Once we were able to move fairly fluently through the rules without constantly looking in the rulebook, we decided we were playing big points. We were curious to see how long such a battle would take us and what would come out of it.

'this bat rep style is amazing. If it were up to me I'd have you do it in your native language with sub titles. In fact It would be really cool to see more languages in the bat reps. This sounds kinda petty, but is neither meant that way nor does it come from a place of spite. I noticed that you use a lot of filler words ("ehm", "mhm", "uh", etc.) in your explanations. While not unusual, it does clash a bit with your otherwise extremely coherent and professional battle report. Those are normally linked to hesitation or lack of experience (especially for people like you and i, who don't speak English as a first language) and can be avoided by a matter of encouragement and a bit of training (especially in front of a mirror or collection of friends). I can only help with one part of this, so here it goes: No reason for hesitation! This was a nice video and i enjoyed it. Your voice is lovely and it really shows that you're passionate about this! I'm excited for the next one! The showcase at the start was absolute gold. Really appreciated that

Yes, this is true. I use empty filler words because I rarely speak English. Especially when I have to recreate a battle that took place a few days before. I just don't remember a lot of things and my hesitation stems from that. I need to practice it's true. Thanks for your comments and I'm glad you liked the report.

Thank you. Yes, exactly. Although charge ranges are shorter in TOW, the ‘Impetuous’ rule works on 4+, so it reduces such forced charges by 50%. 🔥

Fantastic battle report. I absolutly love the format (reminds me the old "La guerre au garage"). The cut is very readable and well paced. The background music is perfect and of course the armies are beautifuls. And it's narrative, what more would we want? Can't wait for the next one.

The automatic subtitles was so bad that I felt stupid to share it. The proper names didn't translate at all, often replaced with another word, especially Khorne and the names of my characters. It introduced more confusion than positives, so I deactivated it, and I didn't have much time to verify and improve the subtitles from such a long battle. Next time I'll take a comprehensive approach and write everything down right away to add the subtitles to youTube along with the video. Thanks for the constructive comment. Warm regards!

Thanks! My opponent will certainly be pleased with your comment. His army is very kitbashed and converter. Fles Hounds is a combination of Warhounds and Green Stuff. His Daemon Prince similarly is a combination of bits and putty. Overall, only Bloodletters and Bloodthrister are unmodified. I'm glad you're enjoying it.

Blood thirstier should have won combat with peasants? Flank, maybe a banner, closed order vs 3 wounds and closed order (lumbering). Also the peasants would only take a dangerous terrain test when THEY move over the template.

Thanks for your comment. You are very perceptive. It is a mistake in the narrative. The thing is that Khorne's demon actually killed 1 Peasant Bowman not 3. Additionally, the musician played no role here because the demon of Khorne simply lost the fight by -1. I wrote the script a couple of days after the battle and an error just stepped in. Thanks for pointing it out! Additionally, I made a mistake when casting the Pillar of Fire spell because I placed it on the Bloodthirster, and the vortex cannot be on the model. In general, Bloodthirster had terrible luck during the hit rolls - practically just ones on the dice. I even wanted him to reroll, but Giorgio stated that Khorne demons do not accept mercy during the Combat Phase.

I see a big contradiction with this format... The unintentional asmr (always the best kind of asmr) narration which makes you want to close your eyes and nod off. And the focus on these amazingly painted minis (even more focus on the close ups perhaps - yeah it will mean more editing of course)... which means you can't.

I didn't know anything about ASMR. This is a result of my equipment and lack of experience in recording my voice. The narration was also a form of reminder, so it's all natural. Thanks for your comment, my voice for some is soothing and actually a couple of people wrote that it is sleepy.

Looks more fake than an old White Dwarf battle report.
