That Ogryn who is considered intelligent for his kind is Nork Deddog and he was considered intelligent because he could count to 4 without an intelligence chip (also called a bonehead chip) Here’s a quote from him: “Da Sergeant Major asked me what my job was an' I said it was to, uh, do what I was told. He said I was a genius and gave me another medal. I likes da Imperial Guard!” I feel like Jonk fits the role well

@@attilakovacs5040 I do not know, I do know though someone he was protecting was being eaten by a Tyranid creature that was massive and he charged the creature, smashing one of its mandibles apart, reached in and dragged the man who was now missing the lower half of his body due to the creatures stomach but he was still alive. Nork is stupid but he is loyal to a fault.

I have the fortunate nature of my friends being interested in it. Some of them even lore dump to me.

I really like elis knowledge about 40k, cause its precisely the type of random shit i love, and the fact is actual lore is just a chef's kiss;

During a battle once, a commissar asked an ogryn to bring him a medkit from their truck to heal his leg. The Ogryn couldn't find the medkit and just dragged the truck back to the commissar

My friend showed this to me and I relate to Ellis so much - the dynamic I have with my friend is just like this with him asking questions seconds after I answered them and not acknowledging my trivia haha

I really like those "actually" moments from Ellis, it's even better when it's about W40k lore. Extra points for the Mechanicus edit joke there.

It shows, that the editor is also a 40k fan. Subtitles for the bit where they talk like robots is very Mechanicus-like.

Pickled toast sort of existed. One of the many delicacies during the American Civil War involved putting a piece of burnt toast in a full water bottle and (if you have it) squirt some lime into it. The boys would usually put it to sit out in the sun however, to ferment.

Welcome to WH, there's more where that came from. One story from WH fantasy involved a goblin who was force-fed troll meat by orcs. Troll meat has the interesting tendency of regenerating at a crazy rate, even when it is detached from the body of a troll, so the goblin essentially ate one bite of meat which would turn into an actual troll when inside his stomach. However, instead of exploding into 1000 goblin pieces or turning into a high-pressure vomit/shit jet, the goblin grew with the troll meat and got bigger and fatter than those guys who show up at Walmarts in their scootmobiles. He then became a warlord for goblins and orcs because nobody could resist his big thighs and became public enemy no.1 for High Elves as he decided it would be fun to hooligan their way over to their donut island.
