Hate the plasteel farm.I Upgrade often for blessings, cause the weekly shop sucks. Would never spend 3000 gold for 1 blessing. I don't understand the hard Change with the crafting materials. I am sitting on so much diamantine, but plasteel,oh boy 9 Missions for upgrading an item😂 it's not worth.

Hey my man, i know this isnt your newest video but i just had to say, watching your videos has helped me so immensely in understanding and mastering the ins and outs of the Psyker. When i picked up this game i was really really struggling to understand what i was supposed to do, what was good and what wasnt and even though it stil took a while, your videos were definitely the main rescource i used to get a hang of it. I have a similar build for assail, but I use my Purg staff for close range and assail for long range. Works fairly well imo. Great video btw love your builds!

No worries. Glad you like them! Purg I stopped using but only because the fire can't hard stun anymore. Makes me sad. Purg was the king before

True aim has been underrated for a long time. I have been shocked to see it missing from void strike builds for so long online due to how easy headshots are to line up with the staff. Like you I also run surge and quell on weakspot. I'm not a fan of assail as I find that it doesn't help against the big bois in auric Damnation, I feel that accurate void spam is more effective than swapping to assail in the situations it is useful in.

@RealAsianRobot With this build, why do you prefer VoidStrike over let's say Trauma?

Good build, will try it. It seems like my build with Voidstricke staff, but i use BB instead of Assail. Brain Burst give 2 stacks of True Aim, coz it counts as 2 hits, but only second hit deliver damage, first only stagers enemy.

Nice. Thank you.. Question, you might not know but someone here might. On console, when you switch from shards to staff, it always goes to melee weapon first. Anyway to not do that? It slows down combat to much sometimes

I just can’t see myself using anything other than my trauma staff build, it’s so goddamn satisfying taking out a whole chunk of an ambush horde and 2 shotting elites 😭😭

how is it built ?

How much does the blast radius impact this weapon? I got one with 78-80 in every stat but blast radius at a 49, which of course is well below your reccomended 70. Inspecting it the numbers dont reveal much? It seems like an experience thing and was wondering if you could lay in and explain how it feels if you've tried low vs high blast radius?

I have and although the numbers themselves don't mean much, I would say try it in the field. Blast radius in the 60s is okayish, but if its too small. You'll feel like you're not really controlling targets well. You will kill the target you are aiming at, but the aim will be a lot less forgiving (if that makes sense). The best way to get a feel is to use it in the field. Some folks are actually okay with the smaller blast radius, but its a serious personal choice

I will try it. I didn't think Empowered Psyonics was worth it for assail on paper but if you can chain elite kills I could see potential.

I tried a couple of builds for psyker and i would say its my favourite class to play right now, but everything else than shield psyker doesnt feel good for me. Somehow if I dont single carry I have a much higher "winrate" when playing with shield. No matter which staff I use. Thanks for the update on the build

@@RealAsianRobot I couldnt see any big advantages of smite going f.e. with the surge staff. Guess I need to check out the playstyle a little more, especially maxrange stuff. Most of the time team will go from shield to shield with lots of range enemies around and if you have some elites to kill, your shields are like the real "go there" ping. I can see better options for playing with a group with friends or in Discord. I feel like some console players have a really hard time hitting things in the head :) . Random question tho, do your weapon blessings count only for the active weapon or overall, like "quell peril on weakspot hit"

@mobozzy weapon blessings should only count for the active weapon. Also if you want to see the Surge Smite playstyle. I've got many streams where I do that. Tune in to one if you can. It's why I always encourage my newest viewers to attend my many streams. You get to see some unique techniques (with or without a proper team)

What is the background music being played for this?

As I was watching this I just rolled a grey mk 4 duelling sword to gold and got uncanny trike and shred on it, it was my first time ever rolling a weapon with hopes of getting specific blessing too, had to clip could hardly believe it lmao.

I’m currently trying to follow along with the video and right after I read this comment I rolled for a dueling sword in brunt’s. The first one I got had pretty decent stats so I decided to consecrate it and got uncanny strike and shred… I’m like 90% sure this video or heck this comment section is blessed by the emperor

Well part of this build depends on the "Surge" buff (2 shots on crit) on the voidstrike staff in combination with talent "true aim". This is your main massive damage dealer. This won't work, so you could use these 3 points (last path, right side) elsewhere Also i dont know about crit on surge staff, but maybe just give it a shot, if it flow with your vibe :)

The void staff is a little difficult to use on console without sensitivity adjustments. I'm still going to try this build though.

@RealAsianRobot I just rolled a Dueling Sword IV with Riposte III (+17.5% Critical Chance for 6s on successful Dodge) and Precognition IV (+60% Finesse Damage for 2s on successful Dodge) -- would putting a point in Empathic Evasion to trigger dodges on critical hits make my Assail benefit from those?

Those blessings should only work when the Duelling Sword is held and therefore it will not benefit your assail my dude.

Interesting, i have a build with asail and a high torrent lasgun, is fun, as soon you run out of shards switch to the gun, keep firing until is empty, switch back to asails.. makes the characters like a machine gun.. 😂

It's the only thing that currently works well with Assail. So there is literally no other way to build and maintain 75%+ win-rate efficency. You don't need Scriers with a Staff and Venting Shriek is for Horde Clearing, so since you are forced to take Empowered Psionics (EP) for any actual combat capability...you are forced to go Shield as well. But Peril management has to be EXCELLENT for this build. Also to clarify: Shield is a crutch because people spam it in ALL builds when it is not always ideal. Rather you must use the right tool for the right build to achieve that maximum efficiency

This build is dope, but idk if it’s me or what but I can’t get a hang of psyker. It feels like it has no survivability and if you ever get stuck not able to quell or run out of shards, you’re dead. Where as on my zealot or orgyn I have so many ways to survive and deal with any situation. The controls on controller for psyker don’t make it any easier

My suggestion is watch the streams where I play Psyker to see what they can do. They are squishy high utility characters designed to bring control and some ranged dps, but they generally are dependent on everyone else doing their job unfortunately :P

And thank you for your support, I have played with some people that do CRAZY things with Psyker so I know its just me sucking, I think a big part of it is I don’t even have him at level 20 yet so the build isn’t fully realized. As of now orgyn has been the most fun class for me. Love that rock🗿. Zealots great too!

Do dreg gunners count as elites? I noticed you mentioned killing dreg gunners would get you empowered psionics back, but I was under the impression that they were specials. Or do specials get you empowered psionics too, I'm confused lol

They are elites. Specials are only the ones in a group together (flamers, trappers, dogs, Mutants, etc.)

It's just pure luck and rng. You can find curios like that in the stores, or you can try rolling for them at Melk's. Either way, they're pretty rare.

@RealAsianRobot it's funny though, I thought that playing Veteran would be my main, the Psyker has ended up becoming my main, while Rping in my head of being a Golden Age Psyker who was found by the Inquisition and put to service for Humanity. Speaking of which, you think you have any ideas for making an alternative of this build that allows the use of the Accatran pattern lasgun or just firearms in general?

@@ssryle at the moment no. It is theoretically possible but it literally requires that you have a Veteran if you want to do high level play as otherwise you are a big ammo drain on the team.

How come someitmes I dont get weakspot charges? Like, I aim assail at unarmored hordes on their head and I dont get charges?

It doesn't always hit the head unfortunately, so be aware of that :P. Sometimes assail strikes the shoulder or the body. It's not guaranteed headshots (in actual gameplay due to the enemies moving about)

You need very good management with this build. But as shown on stream. I use it with no problems at all. It requires solid technique to manage so if you're not permanently quelling in combat, you're screwed. If peril management is rough for you, use the currently popular Surge/Smite style instead. Much stronger

You wouldn't happen to have tested shield with smite would you? x3
