Galatine alone is still an amazingly powerful weapon. The prime version is just crazy. Honestly a bit surprised at how good it is over EVERYTHING else at this point. Plus Tempo Royale is one of the best melee stances period.

I looked up the definition of powercreep and it fits it quite well. The Fragor Prime at least had a barely any range and a slow speed to offset it's high crit chance. The Galatine Prime has no drawbacks other than comparitively lower stats in some areas when comparing it to a few select other weapons, but it generally outshines them all.

Madway Didn't say it wasn't. Galatine when it first came out (without an MR rating originally LOL) was amazing. The only difference now is the Galatine Prime has a MR of 12. If you want that power, you either rank up, or you buy it. Pick your poison.

Alex Sun No idea about cleaving whirlwind doing more DPS than tempo. I just love tempo because it looks amazing in use. I'm less about DPS and more about style. Probably why I love the Astral Twilight glaive stance. Fashionframe is strong with Tempo Royale.

I've seen mastery rank 7 people have syndicate primaries like the sancti Tigris. If u buy it from others will it take away the mastery lock?

i think it is really good that such strong weapons get higher mastery rank requirment

They need to work on the whole mastery system though, currently it advocates just max ranking a lot of things just to get the exp. And they need to sit down and look at a lot of weapons and rethink their mastery ranks. But since these weapons are powerful I do agree that it's a step in the right direction.

GOETH FUCKETH YOUSELFUS​ Yeah but not only would that require readjusting them if a previous trash weapon gets buffed to op levels, which is uncommon, but not unheard of and if an op weapon gets nerfed. But also evaluate newer weapons and being able to know what would make a weapon overpowered to be able to give them a proper MR lock. But they should start with deciding what they want their game to be in the end before we get something like this.

If these weapons are as powerful as he claims then Rank 13 is prefect. At that point, you should be able to get weapons that feels powerful to use. Kind of stupid that if you buy it that they remove that requirement though.

i would love a comparison of this with the jat kittag + vulcan blitz, i mean 60% of an enemies max health in aoe blast dmg is, at least what i see on higher lvl enemies 20k+ dmg and id rly love to see how much that makes a diffrence cause thats not always a real matter, enemies arent always close enough so that vulcan actually hits them but if it does then yea, rip on melee i only see such numbers with hysteria or titania so, how do the 2 compete in a crowd of enemies ? btw i still think galatine prime is power creep to the max, all stats are pretty good, no real backdraw...attack speed good, crit and status good, base dmg good, range good...please DE...

The prime version has a much higher attack speed than all other greatweapons, and he is using Berserker, which gives a 75% attack speed boost at max stacks.

well im mr 17 but i like using the dual kamas prime so i do, but the gelatine prime just rendered every other melee weapon useless because it has no down sides. There is no reason to run with any other melee weapon: its got good crit chance , multiplier ,attack speed , and it has the highest base damage in the game. and dont forget the nikana prime with a lower MR than the dragon nikana despite it being more powerful.

I steer away from most of the melee weapons now unless there's one I REALLY like the look of because of how boring they are mechanically. It's just a "swing-the-shit-out-of-it" system and doesn't really reward proper stance usage. Either the weapon is too slow to execute the combos nicely or it's so fast you can't do any of them. I love the gunblades for the variations in gameplay. For me, nothing feels more rewarding that perfectly weaving the gun blasts with the slashing. It feels great to utilise the combos, something Warframe's melee desperately needs. Or of course you get weapons like the Scindo Prime...c'mon who the f*** doesn't like cleaving enemy faces with a Goddamn great axe?! Wicked vid spud as always.

I wouldnt call it power creep. Because of how the damage increases when a weapon is primed, this falls into the power curve pretty nicely.

So... MR 30 locked weapon will have what 300 base damage stats?

Probably comes out with more damage overall. Not sure but if you do the math sometimes it's better to increase the base damage. The crit multiplier is only x2 so adding a true steel would bring it up to x3.8 and if you add slash damage the base slash damage becomes 344.96 which scales off mods so maybe(?) it gets stronger than the 3.8 multiplier. Dunno...or maybe it's just preference
