Aww Kim, we've all made a mistake washing a wool item. And then tried to fix and stretch it. But because felting is irreversible, it's no good and must be decluttered. Wool will only felt and shrink for 2 reasons: heat and/or agitation. You will notice your machine's wool wash is always cold and doesn't rotate much at all. So I'm guessing you could have accidentally bumped a setting on your machine without realising. I feel your disappointment! But just remember it had a good life with you and it's time for something new to come in... I'd think carefully about reducing the number of bedrooms in your property, because it usually reduces its value.

Yes, I'm realising I'm definitely not alone in this, thanks for sharing all of your tips, I will pay attention to them in the future! 😊 And I believe that the price where we live is set on square meters, not on the number of bedrooms, but I would have to double check. If not, we can always put a wall back up, which I believe shouldn't be too big of a deal 😉

There are doors which slide into the wall, which might be worth looking into, but bi-fold doors are a great idea. I think it’s great to customise yourself to how you live, especially if you plan to stay. I don’t understand why some people renovate in order to raise the re-sale price if you plan on staying in the house/flat for a while.

Oh no! Such a shame that the dress shrunk. I’ve had a similar problem with viscose and cotton items. I’ve shrunk jumpers in the past so I now hand wash them if made of wool

Yes, it's a real shame when that happens, but I now know to only hand wash wool and cashmere items 🙈

You should absolutely make the all changes you like to make your space work better for you! Although making two rooms into one will definitely lower resale value so only do if it’s really important to you.

Hmm yes that’s true, but putting a stud wall back up is only 1 days work, the wooden frame plus the plaster board… so it is reversible 🤷🏻‍♀️

That's a big reason why I want to be extra sure, but I do believe in our country the price is set based on square meters not on the number of rooms 🥰

The wool dress shrinking is so frustrating!!! I lost a beautiful blue wool sweater this way. I also learned I absolutely have to wash my wool items by hand and that’s the only option. It’s so sad when this happens. 😭😭😭

The hair is very cute! The CT pillow talk in fair looks cute in pictures and I’m dying to see it in person. I’m so sorry about the dress. It’s sucks when it happens. It happened to my mum once, a jumper of mine turned out baby size. I teased her asking if it was a hint for grandchildren. Sometimes these things happen. The U.K. weather is doing the same here. I still dare not put away my winter jacket or wool coat.
