On 4/29/2021, which happened to be Willie Nelsons birthday, Ward Davis performed at the Pig Pen in San Antonio. Charles Wesley Godwin opened the night. There are a few of his songs at the beginning of this playlist. They both KILLED IT!! It was a mask free show. Only about 50 people there, but a great time was had by all. The tickets that night included an all you can eat BBQ buffet. I have to say that it was THE BEST BBQ that I have found, since I have lived in TEXAS!!!

Love it when I hear this DW song reminds me of being a kid listening in the back seat of my Dad’s car sticking to the vinyl hot seats with Marlboro Red smoke in my eye just smiles & good times. Thanks for the memories 👍🇺🇸💪

Sadly, he passed away in 2017. Not long after he retired from touring.
To sing the songs Ward Davis does, and "badmouth" a Waylon song is about as ballsy as it gets. Don Williams is the greatest to ever do it. Great to see real artists recognize it.......
