Eh, the Alliance has no more obligation to help the High Elves because they already seceded after the Second War and literally just brushed off and swept away their efforts against the Old Horde. Only a small group was sent to aid the Alliance such as Alleria and her token force. Guess what? The still loyal High Elves were also the ones who helped the Alliance in the Second War and the Blood Elves were mostly the ones who just shyed away in Quel'thalas during the Second War. Let's not forget that Anasterian ordered all the High Elves to come home after the Second War. The High Elves who helped Arthas in WC3 were simply volunteers and/or were from the Kirin Tor. And Anasterian refused to help Lordaeron when Arthas was scourging it because he decided not to do the "same mistake" in the Second War and he was too overconfident that they can hold off the Scourge. I'm not even sure if the Alliance knew that Quel'thalas was being sieged. Dalaran would've sent their mages to aid them by then. And let's say the did know and were going to send help... do you know how long will it take for Kul Tiras and Stormwind to even reach Silvermoon? So yeah, the Alliance of Lordaeron had no more obligation to help the High Elves, they brought it among themselves

Arthas asks Kel'Thuzad to watch over Lordaeron. And what a wonderful job he did - in a laughably short amount of time, there's a civil war between Sylvanas's forces, the Dreadlords' army and Garithos's human forces while the Lich himself never reappears and is forced to hide in Naxxramas lol

Old RTS blizzard is long gone. Most pre-warcraft_3 people have left, and even those from the warcraft 3 era are likely gone. It's not about love of games anymore, it is what will make $$$$$$. RTS just aren't a cash cow. Even SC2, I think was only begrudgingly made.

Night elf's before fucked up world, with Legion deal (Azhara - she wanted to put night elf race on top) and later did't give a fuck about anything. After came orcs, all started to fight orcs (Before that they destroyed Draenei). With orcs came Legion everybody started to fight Legion. And then came scourge with Arthas and fucked everybody up. I am not protecting Arthas or anything. Just saying when you play campaign everything was quite logical at the time you did this. In the world where all fight for they believes and kill for them, creature life's is not so important. "How many people has he killed in his crusade?" - and how many creatures from other minor races killed by other factions. How many you kill in WoW for so called greater good? All is irrelevant XD If we will kill all who deserve it, in this world will no people at all (There is no standard what is good, or bad - everybody sees it differently). What did Arthas was right for his point of view (He did stop Legion) at the same time Sylvanas was right to for desire to kill him. For me, I am always on the side of murlocks XD

I know right?! I reckon Blizzard cheaped out and wouldn't pay high enough for the other one. That's apparently why the VA for Arthas was different too. I can't say I'd be surprised, they do seem to cut corners when they can if it means more profit, sadly. Her new voice has grown on me a little bit, but this 1 is definitely my favourite. The current one isn't echoey enough in my opinion.

I didn’t play Warcraft 3 so perhaps my opinion won’t matter as much but I have to say I like the new voice better. The new voice sounds both banshee like and at the same time conveys a sense of civility and prominence, like a stuck up noblewoman that looks down upon everyone which I like. Plus the one thing I find with wow is that many characters just have really bad dialogue, but not so with Sylvanas. Her dialogue is always so much more eloquent than somebody like voljin or even anduin or Greymane. Certainly nothing wrong with the old voice though, and obviously if you played Warcraft 3 back in the day I can see why you would prefer the old one

+TheCrimsonFuckr Garrosh accomplished way more than his father did. Different but both deserve credit. Mighty warriors. Honorable and glorious in their own right. Garrosh was very well written until blizz did a 180 for inexplicable reasons.

I fucking love this scene in which sylvanas betrays arthas. Its so incredably funny 6:47 first because sylvanas mentions "hell" which is a term Uther has used before but its always sounds funny cuz this world has its own mitology. And second but most important, Sylvanas calls arthas a son of a bitch LMAO. The wording in WC3 is actually very polite and witty, so it feels extremely funny to see this former educated elf use such hood term lol

When I played this game for the first time at 11 or 12 I had the same q..,why not just join up with Kael Thas or even the remaining high elves? But I think it’s just…there wasn’t much Sylvanas had left. I think being undead was repulsive to the Alliance, regardless of morality. That would certainly piss me off. The new content is pretty annoying imo, I prefer sylvanas unredeemed/un disneyfied. I like her best as an antihero…seems more realistic, given the in game prejudices the forsaken/undead have against them.

@@Ackbarfangirl Sylvanas and Kael'thas both being part of the Horde in WoW would make for some interesting interactions. @Arnold: Sylvanas evil? Her hatred of Arthas was what kept her sane while mind controlled by the LichKing. That alone perfectly explains all her actions in WC3. In WoW when the Forsaken join the horde, that's really no different from the Blood elves. The Alliance's strict xenophobia against anyone not following the light or practicing the "unnatural" while the more diverse chaotic Horde embraces different ideologies. The geopolitics make sense. The Horde isn't "evil", just different.

As long as WoW exists in the same world, a Warcraft sequel draws away resources. For one thing, how do you advance the story in a Warcraft 4, but have WoW keep up? Another Cataclysm event? More likely, if they make a Warcraft 4, it'll be a prequel or a rehash of Warcraft 1 and/or 2.

Arthas is so cool

Does anyone else find it weird that Kel'thuzad doesn't just wait for Arthas finish up ghouls ? It took Arthas only a few seconds to take em down and had no problem destroying the gate. Maybe Kel'thuzad could've waited a little longer to rejoin with Arthas and escape together.

I hate sylvanas quite passionately these days....but a slave does not betray its master. No slave swears loyalty to their master, they are forced into servitude. Proper title for this would have been: Sylvanas leads slave revolt against Arthas, finds outside help to do it.

Unknown to Arthas, Illidan (least I think) made a crack in the LK's ice tomb with the spell he was trying to cast but was interrupted during the Night Elf campgain, that crack was wide enough for the LK's power to start leaking out

Arthas as a paladin went to Northrend to destroy the Scourge, there he was tricked into picking Frostmourne, blade imbued with power of Scourge's master Lich King, the blade took his soul, made him loyal to the Lich King which eventually turned him into a death knight. Eventually Arthas returned to Lordaeron on Lich King orders. Destroyed it along with Quel'thalas and Dalaran. Eventually he was forced to return to Northrend to aid the weakened Lich King and merged with him.

Can Kel'Thuzad come do this in WoW? Sylvanas has become quite possibly the most cringy and most unbearable character in the lore, would love if he (or anyone) killed her or chased her off.

It's a shame after Sylvanas turn into undead Dark elf, she never speak any words in Elven language anymore. I really miss her insult and trash talk in elven words when she was just an elf

I wish Slyvanas killed Arthas here. Maybe after she got her revenge she wouldnt have to turned into a maniac. But then again what Arthas did to her would make anyone crazy.

Warcraft 4 is wow deal with it. Wow isnt a spin off. There wont be a warIV just accept it. A warcraft 3 remastered or remake is possible though

A remake is what we want for sure.. but they better not use the shitty models used in WoW.

@@self-awareandbiasedslander7761 It has to be at least Sc2 quality given the time distance. I mean, they gave us sc1 remastered so there might be a wc3 remastered.
