Btw, the intro was great. So fluid and well explained with the outline of what youre going to be talking about.

For the idea of opting out of the Warband, it likely won't happen soon if ever. Most of your "stuff" is stored with your character with its data. When TWW drops part of that process they tested in the last few weeks on PTR is moving that data to a new central location. They aren't doing a lot of currencies because they would have to update vendors to look in the new location. By letting you transfer currencies, they don't have to update every vendor on where to look for that currency. If they let you opt out per character they would have to track things in additional multiple places which adds complexity and bloat.

Good point, and I guess aside from that, they won't put all that work into this system to then immediately allow people to just opt out of it. 😂

Great video, just leaving a comment for the algorithm, I hadn't exactly been looking for info on war within but this was a good summing up of the new system. For someone like me who loves running alts this may be just the system I needed to come back to retail WoW.

the big qwuestion is: will i have to go through the entire main story quest /campaign on my alts? or just once on my main and then adventure mode for alts straight from the start, like in D4?

I would like to know this as well. I really dreaded having to repeat the MSQ for every alt in order to keep them up to date with the story line.

Very good question. I'm afraid, you'll have to go through them again without receiving the first time completion reward until they give such quest lines the skip option. But we might also get lucky: in a sense that they will have this option available from the beginning in the War Within, since it's very popular among players. I'll make sure to get back to you in case I find an official answer to this exact scenario. 👍🏻

i curious to see why would anyone want to "opt out". Personally I would want to see this feature cover more than 4 characters. At least 8 (2 for every armor type) and likely 13 (one for every class). I feel like "opt out" crowed would be in the vast minority if such a crowed would exist.

You're porbably right, but aren't there loads of people who do stuff like Iron Man Challenges? Though, if you really wanted to do that, you could simply not use Warband beneftis. Which leads back to: you're probably right! 😂

Oh & wait, I just read your comment again: the feature covers ALL your characters. The four are only your favorites to put on display in the select screen! 😅

I would like to see xmog where if your class can equip it then they can xmog into it. Sure clothies will get shafted, but we get the best xmogs anyways.

I'm quite sure that they would go the unlock all route before doing it that way. I guess we can all imagine the amount of complaints, if your suggestion would be the way. 😂

So from what i see, Some reps, Some currencies, the occasional bone throw of a weapon or armor and a small % in xp gain once you have levelled 3 or 4 toons. I mean thats great, but lets no go crazy, its not THAT great. I just hope they keep expanding and allow us to take 2 or 3 alts on solo dungeon runs.

I guess the priests get shafted at gear rolls since EVERY character can wear cloth.

Luckily not the case, the priority is based off the main gear the class wears. If a cloth item drops (non class-restricted) every cloth main class has prio. You'll be competing with mages, warlocks, and other priests.

I wanted to know if my old pvp titles will be shareable now.

Hey, depends on what type of titles we talk about. I'm not really familiar with PvP but if it's e.g. gladiator titles the answer is no. Basically every time a title was given to your character for a very specific reason, it won't be shared. Goes against the fantasy from Blizzard's perspective. 👀
