Sweet Troll will probably take a fair bit of time, they’re working on the story, blu ray, character look, everything! Probably 2-6 years, but it depends on the funding, if they receive enough money they will make it faster.

I only just rediscovered Oban about 11 or 12 years after watching it as a child and i'm kinda excited about the idea of a sequel, i hope it can live up to the original series x3

The theme song and ending theme are the only guarantees I didn't hallucinate the whole thing.. No one I know remembers this show...

+Robin Lynn I remember watching it a long time ago. I remember making my own little star racers out of legos. I even made one that was supposed to be the W-ARROW-2. I just never could remember the name of the show until I watched Akidearest do a video about the top 5 shows that aren't really animes. It wasn't one of them but she mentioned it and showed a little clip of it and a flood of nostalgia just came over me and I just had to look it up so I could finally see how it ends. I also find this song really mellow. Like it's just a song made for nostalgia. lol

+Robin Lynn I used to watch it with my mom when I was like 12 or so XD That and Avatar: The Last Airbender. We were sooo hooked on both shows... eventually I was able to watch Avatar again but I forgot about Oban until very recently, and am now watching it all over again and having a great time. If anyone is interested, you can watch the whole show on KissAnime (english dub and pretty decent quality) so yeah ^^

Back then I was like, BARELY any good at internet, trying to find a full version of this.. trying kazaa and such.. couldnt find it ANYWHERE. a friend of mine finally found it in some form, possibly even early youtube, but i was unable to get the actual audio file. He knew a way using Audacity to record from your own speakers output, but it had to be done in real time so it was kind of a pain to have him do for me.. and now.. i can just find five versions of it on youtube easily. but I still have to jump through weird hoops if i want the audio file.. so many different weird hoops available.. and of course if certain people get what they want, it'll be impossible to find again, in the name of protecting the rights of the people that own the show.. even though those rights don't assist them in actually RELEASING the song or probably the show in any way, or their lawyers would tear them apart, at least often, if not in this specific instance.

The Blitz I don't know if it ever will be released, but I saw something about it on Twitter by a company that worked with Oban in some way. I really hope they actually make the Blu-Ray version though!

Looks like a lot of us that watched the show when we were younger are re-watching it now :) The scene when Spirit shows her what really happened and both of them shedding a tear, that really hit me. Prolly gonna re-watch it again after 5 or so years.

For us, Russians, it's a normal thing to listen to a songs we don't understand a word of. A Russian can listen to certain english songs every day, but still not understanding a word of them and even mispronounce words when they sing a long. There was a song "Venus" by "Shocking Blue" which had lyrics "She's got it" and it became known in Russia as "Shizgara", because that's what we heard.

If nostalgia could punch, it would hit like this song does.

In a minute I was able to go back in 13 years. What happy memories and childhood full of laughter and play. First time I've heard this song in practically fifteen years. The nostalgia is overwhelming. I barely remember the show itself, but I've always loved how peaceful and relaxing this song was.

I am the only one who begins to cry when listening the song? It was my favorite Tv show from my childhood. I can't imagine how fast passed 10 years, not one, not two, not three, but 10 years. We need to talk with people from Netflix to continue it.

I usually listen to a music without words, so listening to a song with lyrics that i cannot understand a word is a normal thing to me (I'm Russian and when i've listened to english songs i didn't understand a word either, but still loved them) I guess for us Russians it's a normal thing, idk how it is for english-speaking people.

Imma be honest i dont remember the show. But this ending is something that ill remember for a lifetime. Its too beautiful to forget. The nostolgia bruh

Always brings back so much nostalgia from my childhood and makes me miss the simpler days

I remember when I would stay up to the late hours just to watch this show. I was too young to really understand it, but it's art and characters really caught my attention. And, like linkomega123, I could never forget the ending, even if I couldn't remember where it was from. I'm rewatching the series right now, and I'm only on episode 4, but it's hitting me right in the feelings.

So sad almost nobody remembers this series :[ When this first aired in my country 4 years ago I was totally addicted to it! And now, I'm still watching it! Even though its not in English, it helps to still feel the emotions behind the song. Molly grew up without her mother and her father was absent for most of her life. She's self reflecting and remembering the good times when they were happier and life was brighter. However, she is not held back by the past and says 'Goodbye Yesterday' and looks forward to her future. The song really does have a deeper meaning when you are older and look back at childhood just like she did. It was a special gem that i was glad to experience back then

I finally searched for the name for this show. I was like 7 years old when I watched this and I couldn't understand anything and all i cared about was the action and that ending song. After that I completely forgot about this show even though i loved it so much and now I finally found it again! The reason I remembered this show was because I had this song and the racing type of genre stuck on to my head and only with this small clue it took me like an hour to find it. First I gave up hope but still tried to search it and went more deeper on the internet then i heard that ending song and I was like, oh my god I finally found you! That was the happiest day ever ans now im watching the episodes right now so I can finally complete my first childhood anime show. Yes this was my first anime show.

I've been searching for this song for more than 5/6 years, i don't understand a single word nor remember the show but i had this song stuck in my head since i was a child, the vocalist voice is mellow, the music it self makes me feel warm, could never forget that or drop it out of my memory, although i don't understand a word it always made me feel something in such a way i cannot describe.

this song just keeps reminding me of the really sad endding of the anime and how awesome the show was

"Goodbye Yesterday"... man, that's what I don't want to do...

Nikstarr I used to watch this show on Jetix, 10:30pm block, in my grandparents bedroom nearly a decade ago now. I lived in a really volatile home environment for as long as I could remember, and watching T.V between my gram and gramps was one of the few nice things I’d gladly relive from that time. My grandmother recently passed away last year and with that, came waves of grief and longing and confusion. The past month has been especially hard. I’d given up on experiencing life and wanted nothing more than to wade along till I met her again. Hearing this song, however, acted as a reminder that those years have past. That it’s time to say goodbye.. It doesn’t make facing the music any easier; I guess, just a little less lonely.

It's interesting to forget about what you've grown to love. For example, this story here.. I remember having had thought about Molly a lot.. 10 years or what has it been since then.. I'm finally going to properly go through this story and let's see.. I hope I'll see what made me love the story again.. This song is a direct step in that direction..

Amazing that Disney was willing to broadcast such a mature themed show. When you look at the other stuff that was on the channel at the time.

As one of those old farts who watch anime this song has always been a comfort to. For some reason i don't feel so miserable about a past that has dogged me and that i can't fix. Kudos to the uploader of this song.

There is currently an active KICKSTARTER campaign going on to put season 1 on Bluray. The goal ammount was reached 1.5 hours after launch. This campaign is still active for the next month. The series creator said that remaining funds from this campaign will go towards getting season 2 going.

I remember they spelt Waratetta ' Watnanetta' on the official credits LOL This song still makes me cry, I feel like I watched something a lot of people never saw

Though I dont really cry , nor I want mu childhood to be back cause I literally hate it since it was hell to me , but this song..along with very very few moments I've had meant peace to me , Peace I can never replace and always call home , And yes many many people dont even know about this anime.

Regardless of the wonderful memories of this anime , this song is very relaxing ❤️

Saw this series on Netflix recently. I didn't know it even existed. It's a wonderful series. THX 4 uploading this song as it has great lyrics (Yoko Kanno! No surprise saying that) and melody.
