Crissy Ashcroft is a war veteran who served the military for 13 years. Her blind audition is her step off into leaving the army.
She had to separate from the army because of medical reasons and with the song "When the war is over" she want to find some closure.

    Working as an EMT and a nurse, I can't begin to feel her pain, but I've also seen things I wish I hadn't and I'll never unsee…. at least in this world. I wish her the best and I hope she can make it as a singer.

    U.S. Army Retiree here. Two tours in Iraq. First tour March 2003. She right about one thing. I have seen things that no one should never see. I have done things that no one should never do. I too was injured in Iraq and have been having trouble every since. I suffered a TBI in Iraq in 2003. PTSD is real.

    I showed my husband who served in the marines who also suffer from both physical and ptsd and he has asked me to right this 1 you have such am amazing voice and thank you he has come out more if of the old steve before he heard you sing so a massive thank you and stay strong
