actually its playerbase while small, is thriving in their own ecosystem. mainly because its stupidly easy to get gold and premium time, meaning you can use said items in wot and wows

I played it for a good bit, its actually a pretty decent game, its just not nearly as realistic as War Thunder. The planes behave more like a caricature of their real life counterparts, kindof how you would expect the average person who has next to no knowledge of airplanes to describe them. If you can get past that, the game plays pretty well. Aircraft have clearly defined roles that you are rewarded for performing, and the objective system is very good. Biggest issue I have with the game is the sound design is ass. If it got literally any love from Wargaming I think it could be allot more successful

I have tried the game i play it like 14 times matching up with bot mostly. There sometimes matching up with real player but they are p2w ones.

I wont lie. For like a year I seriously thought world of warplanes was a joke and thought the game didnt exist (I didnt bother searching the game up) then when I remembered about it some random day, I found out it was an actual game. It's so under advertised you seriously would think a game like this would be some sort of joke or prank from wargaming, but nope

Tried playing it a few days ago, so plasticky looking compared to WT and WT alredy looks like playdoh, at least for me because potato PC but yeah. Quite honestly, health bar system is quite mid and the only critical damage is fire, as far as I'm aware. Wish you could shoot wings in half or at least shoot tails off if you can't kill the engine.

@@Mig1446 I don't think that's gonna happen due to lack of player interest especially since War Thunder is available on Console, might've been interesting to see how Wargaming would've done it though.

WoWP has some good ideas - like points and ground targets that actually change the environment. Also sudden weather changes were cool. Flight model was atrocious though, it was like flying a brick.

I personally would love to have those Me-262 prototypes in WT

WoWP is dead on arrival. I can't imagine anyone wanting to play a flight combat game with health bars, lmao. In fact the only game from Wargaming I prefer over WT is WoWS since health bars are a better way to determine crew count than WT's arbitrary "Crew Percentage" in Naval.

Me playing Ace Combat that have health bars: Sweats nervously

A tiny detail that most must have missed, but when the Foxbat launches the missile, it turns the other way. Historically, the missiles used by that airplane were so heavy that even the act of launching one of the four would throw the balance of the aircraft so out of the center that it would just fall to the heavier side, that still had two missiles in that wing. In the early days of the development of the thing, there was even a pilot that died when he lost control of his MiG and ended up crashing. RIP homie.

thats seems to be a ME-262 HG II this special modification places the engines closer to the fuselage for better performance and such. it was probably never built though because germany lost the war before they could make these blueprints into reality. theres an HG III variant too which gives it a V-Tail look it up

Seems about right, first the server refuses to register the first 130 rounds and then one runaway MG round obliterates the entire plane.

even this cartoon made the missile launch more accurate than War Thunder, where your sparrows don't drop and clip through your fuselage and you can shoot yout own bombs because the shells come from the core of the aircraft and not the mag of the cannons

After playing warships for few months, i saw planes and installed it. Omg, uninstalled it 15 mins later... but ships are still there...i love that game, its so much better than ships in WT, at least to me, i cant watch that BB shootin light Cruiser from 8km...would be dev strike in wows on square...graphics and all is great, but mechanics, welllll...not to mention long grind

Yeah as of right now the only edge Wargaming has on War Thunder is naval. Sure War Thunder's naval is more realistic but in a way it really isn't since it's impossible to emulate 20th century naval warfare without aircraft carriers of submarines, both of which World of Warships has.

As funny as the MiG-25 missile dealing 230 damage is, it's not even close to what would be the damage level of the missile. On the other hand I also know deep down that the MiG-25 would need to get lucky to 3 shot the overpowered XB-70 from full HP.

Must say World of War Planes is my favorite game. Fast game play. Great battles and a good variety of aircraft with fairly easy climbing the tech tree are all positives for fun versus time expended. War planes is not a good simulator like WT, but you can tell and feel the different flying characteristics of aircraft. Only criticism is wish it included more earlier aircraft in the 1920's and 30's.

Me. 262 flying at the same speed with MIG-25P is the cherry on top

What people don't understand is that WoWP is just an **arcade style shooter**, never meant to be "realistic". And in its own niche, it's pretty enjoyable game, easy to get into and easy to learn.

WT > WoWp. No one plays that dead game, WoWp. Unless you're a masochist that enjoys getting beat up by a fight while you have bots. I quit when the Community Manager, in not so few of words after I was critical of the fight MM and telling players that the premium planes they paid real money for now had to be grinded to be fully effective, told me if I didn't like the game go play something else. I did, WT. Plus only in WT can you loos 1/3 of a wing and still "fly" around getting kills.

World of warplanes is actually really fun, I do somewhat prefer it over wt because not every sweat lord is using the BF 109. However recently I think I found out the reason for its less than desirable outcome, it wasn’t even developed by wargaming, just published. It’s developed by a sister company named “Persha studia” which I assume dosent have the recourses as wargaming does. Even then, there’s still a reason that lesta didn’t make their own version of the game when they split off from wargaming (you can only imagine what it is)

The wowp f86 can maneuver with an overload of 22-23g and the pilot is ok... (8.5 sec turn, 1100 km/h max speed)

@@flyingpizza7486 the HG Series were a real project to make high speed test(?) Versions of the Schwalbe The HG I had a low profile cabin and wing fillets to make it more aerodynamic the V9 prototype was converted into this. The HG II was a little bit more extreme it had 35 Degree swept wings and initialy a V or "Butterfly" tail but later on they changed it back to the normal because it was deemed unstable. Contruction started and depending on the source it was mostly completed but bombed or was in the middle of construction. The HG III was the most extreme it had a 45 degree swept wing and moving the engines from separate nacelles to the roots of the wing (also plannwd to use The Heinkel-Hirth HeS 011 but what german jet plane proposal didn't) for maxing out the aerodynamic potential the frame could bear. Only reached the Wind tunnel mockup state there ire a few pics of the mockup and also a list of all the variants of the me 262 from the okd War Thunder forum old-forum.warthunder.com/index.php?/topic/455511-list-of-all-me-262-variants/
