I came to WT from WoT and I can say it’s a better game. No tank is outright better than the other, it’s all about the player. At least that’s my opinion.

And the Russian bias is nowhere nearly as extreme in WT. Remember when they had confrontations in WoT? Country A vs Country B? That was the last time this game was fun (as there was a great spirit on both teams) but they removed it as it exposed the Russian bias too obviously. They had like a 60-70% win rate over any other country.

Don't understand the hate between both comminutes, both games do their own thing and its kind of pointless to have a battle against each other. Im actually happy I can play both for different reasons. WT: Realistic and modern tanks WoT: Arcade and prototypes and blueprints

What game mechanics? You mean capping a base to win? Or shelling the enemy in an arty because you dont have a spine? Or paying for higher performing shells which just outright ruins the experience for heavy tank players? Enlighten me on these game "mechanics" because last i checked in wt you can use ships, aircraft and ground vehicles, the vehicles themselves are mostly accurate minus a few armor specs for mbts because that info is classified, you can interact with the maps more, you dont get a giant red marker above your head when someone sees you or your completely invisible when your not in view range, one minute the whole enemy team can see you next minute youv got a cloaking device

Arty is like CAS but it doesnt kill you instantly and you can defend yourself from it with good positioning and map knowledge. Gold ammo is cancer and ruins higher tier but similarly the reason I stopped playing WT in the first place is because I took a long break and when I came back and played what used to be the top-tier IS-4 light tanks could kill me instantly from any distance with HEAT. What vehicles are in the game isnt a game mechanic, arguably neither is their accuracy, while I like accurate vehicle portrayal it doesnt stop me from enjoying the game since as I mentioned it was the gameplay I enjoy, not the historical accuracy. The spotting/camoflage mechanics are something I found incredibly fun to play with once i understood them and could start making gameplay desicions around them. There are a fuckton of mechanics in WoT, describing them all would take constitute an entire essay, and it takes time to learn them all. It's not everyones taste, which is evident from this entire comments section but trying to say that there are literally no mechanics isn't the smartest take on the subject.

Will say one thing here. WT: Planes great, Tanks good, Ships awful WG: Planes awful, Tanks good, Ships great Basically, you pick the game you want to play. If you want to play a game that has much more realistic tank controls, but has severe problems top tier, play WT. If you want an arcade-y zoom and shoot with lanes and arena, play World of Tanks. It's about what you want. Neither is better, or worse. They're both games that dumb outsiders categorize as the same genre but they're just not. WG can't do airplanes, WT ships are awful.

Yeah WT Naval isn't so bad once you get used to it. I used to hate it until I got a decent vessel and learned how to use it properly. Now I do enjoy it, but I still only usually play it for event or battle pass tasks that require naval action because I almost exclusively play ground RB. I even grind my air trees in ground RB lol

Both games play very different the Grind is different etc. And i think these comparisons are stupid (most of them at least). This meme just reminded me of the hate between the Communities of the two games.

@@pogpengwyn okay well for one im top tier in two countries and mid tier in another two and i have 8 tier 10s in wot so i think i have a say thank you very much and i wouldnt know about the prem rounds because its been almost two years since i played the game and last i checked if you switch to silver to fire prem rounds then firing just a few rounds would cost you the entire battle worth of silver and often put you in the negatives especially at tier 8 and above which forces you to buy premium so yet again your paying real money to have an edge (especially against heavies) which in my honest opinion makes the devs scummy because not everyone has that kind of money just laying around , i switched to wt because as annoying as the game can be especially at top tier atleast the devs put effort in with new maps, vehicles, even new game mechanics like with the new entrenching mechanic and bomb craters whereas wot doesnt give a shit about its playerbase and releases piss poor effort "content" and constant full price reskins of tanks that already exist ingame

I don't know why WT players are so bothered by WoT at the level of making a video like that xD, both games are focused on war vehicles mainly tanks but both have different gameplay and mechanics, WT focuses more on the "realistic" (Even if not even with the largest cannon you can penetrate the optics or any other part or that with a shot from the side of the cannon it destroys your tank xD) and WoT is not so realistic but thanks to that it is more fun at the same time that it is surreal with which the creators and developers also make jokes about it xD. The one who made this video is literally the boy crying and angry that he cannot accept reality. And I always see that it is the WT players who get the most mad without sense (Not all but the ones who behave the most childish always stand out). And I also read a comment (with a heart of the one who made the video xD) of someone who says that APCR ammunition in WoT is bought with real money that if I remember correctly that was only on console but on PC it is different, it looks pretty stupid Make comments like this and without knowing very well what is happening xD.

APCR shell in WOT: may be the best shell in the game with it's high pen and velocity (atleast on par with HEAT) APCR shell in WT : the second worst shell in the game with it's very poor performance againts angle target and very low post-pen damage

@@goose8447 WoT is way more stategic as everyone has only one tank/life and you can trade shots, one pen doesnt kill (most of the time). Also there is a spotting system, so sneaking around is not easy especially in a heavy tank. In WT everyone can sneak if done correctly. WT everyone just drives to the Cap like monkeys, ...and then there is CAS which is broken in my opinion (at higher tiers at least (G91 for example)). Edit: and amor exists in WoT... which in WT it rarely does nowadays

@@tofastforya6664 You got everything backwards. WT relies on strategy a lot more, BECAUSE sneaking around is easier, and you die in one shot if you just rush a cap. If you don't think about what you're doing you're going to be sniped from the other side of the map. In WT you can be dumb AF because if you get shot you just go back into cover and wait for arty to take care of whoever shot you. And you can't take advantage of things like a high quality scope with good zoom to spot targets yourself, you have to rely on a bullshit mechanic which can make a tank standing in the middle of an open field invisible if you're just a bit too far. In WT you can aim at weakspots or important components to help out your teammates, for example when you can only see the barrel of someone who's about to destroy your teammate, in WoT you can pray to RNJesus that you hit him at all. In WT you can take less ammo to lower the chance of getting hit in the ammo storage, in WoT the exact number doesn't matter as long as it's above 0. Armor in WT exists, you just have to know how to use it.

@@TheByQQ I Played WoT only for 3 months and the team play and tactics are at least present in some ways, as in WT it feels like you only have 2 competent teammates and the rest is just rushing the cap and then dies... and then spawncamping happens (you have to play at high tiers in WT to get team play and tactics, and the grind in WT is so much longer). Also armor in WT is useless it slows you down and everyone can pen you anyways (apart from some tanks like Maus in downtiers). And even if you have amor just take some BMP or swedish tank with way to much HEAT pen and your amor is useless. The swedish have a TD at 1.7 (i think) that has a 240mm pen HEAT... thats enough to pen a Tiger 2. And what about 7.3 onwards until about 9.0 almost every tank has little to no amor and in top tier everything can pen everything with thermal vision and point and click range finders. And my 8.7 BMP 2M has 1200mm Pen Tandem ATGMs with 2.gen thermals. Armor excisted in WT 5 Years ago nowadays powercreap and uptiers have made it almost useless (especially Heavy tanks). besides your arguments sound like you never really played WoT (by that i mean get to higher tiers not just 20 games). And a hitpoint and spotting system adds more debth to the game (if you like it or not), at least in my opinion. But I dont think WT needs it, the games are very different that should stay that way. And I also dont think one is better than the other in terms of Game Quality, which one you like more is personal prefference as the games are very different. WT might have the same potential if we talk about strategy, but in WoT most matches have more strategy in them than your typical WT match. WT players are less competent has the game is not as punishing in my opinion, if you die you respawn or join another match. In WoT you have to wait until the match ends because your tank is still in battle.

I went from WoT to WT and honestly the grind in WT is much more painful, the economy is shit and research takes forever in top tier tanks. I thought it was bad in WoT that i had to spend a month in a line but now it takes me a year to get to top tier in WT

If you think the grind in war thunder is bad, look at WOT blitz and being mediocre at the game without premium. Shit is hell. I spend possibly over 2 years on that game and I’ve only managed to get the pz4G. Meanwhile on WT I spent about 2 years on it and I almost have the leopard a1a1.

My favorite part of war thunder is when you have to learn Thermonuclear physics, understand the fall of the Roman empire and put a ruler in the middle of the screen to calculate distance, so you can enjoy the game (my family abandoned me And don't play arcade, it sucks)

As someone who has played both: WT got boring after eighty hours as the grind became boring, the difficulty curve from arcade to realistic was absurd, and the battles dragged on needlessly. WoT was better, but has progressively gotten worse due, in no small part, to the community’s constant whining and WG’s constant caving to their whining. What finally came as the last straw for me was Wargaming’s seeming stance on taking a side in the Russia-Ukraine war, which simply tainted the experience. However, it’s worth noting that it took nearly a decade of me playing the game (2015-2022) to finally uninstall the game.

​@@errornamenotfound2513 Exactly. WoT and WT have their own place in gaming seperate to each-other. WoT isn't trying to be a realistic simulator and as such the gameplay isn't too realistic. WT is by no means realistic either, which doesn't detract from its core gameplay but makes anyone that argues WT is the best just because its more "realistic" pretty smooth brain. You can enjoy either for different reason but in the end, both suffer from relatively the same problems being P2W APCR meta in WoT and bankrupting repair costs just for playing the game in WT with both having incredibly poor balancing in general. It's the same tired argument as Battlefield and CoD fanboys have when fighting over which is the better game.

You say that as if either of them were good

I have played both, they're good but I rather war thunder cuz better physics.

I sometimes lose faith in humanity while reading these comments, wt players attacking wot players because there comparing a realistic game to a arcade game and the wot players just trying to defend themselves. And what is wrong with half of the wt player base? They all think that there game is better and don't see the fact that a game can not be better then another game, it's a game if you want to play a realistic game play arma or escape from tarkov and if you want a arcade game that can be played in tournaments like csgo, lol, dota, valorant... play them. war thunder is serious about shooting if you know how to aim you can kill with one shot, apart from in wt there are no invisible tanks or scouts which depends on how awake you are, in world of tanks the expanding bullet factor is literally nerfed only the paid tanks have penetration With HE, normal and bonus tanks, your HE will not work because they are not paid, apart from that there are scouts and invisible tanks that can shoot at you and you will not be able to detect them, on top of that there are ridiculously fast tanks that in In real life they wouldn't be like that because they would turn, but since they are payment tanks they don't turn, they look like sports cars.

@@pancytryna9378 That's the problem, people who don't know how to play (let alone know their tank's role) can just buy high tier tanks thinking they'll be god at the game because of it. It really doesn't help with the fact that the tutorial is bad, it only teaches you the absolute basics of the game (moving and shooting) and doesn't teach players about the tank classes and their roles so they just camp on the other side of the map with any tank, thinking this is how Blitz is supposed to be played. And also with the fact that the 5.5 update basically killed low tier by removing and replacing most tier 1-6 vehicles so that they could have tanks for the Battlepasses and (mostly) pay to win events. The 5.5 update made it so that new players had a way smaller window of time to learn the game and go to higher tiers, because of this, the game is plagued with the most horrible unskilled and brainless players.
