Stall is based on Angle of Attack, instead of speed. It may seem like low speeds cause a stall but have you seen a jet intentionally stall at an airshow? It's exactly this. He is in a too high angle of attack for that speed, the air doesn't flow over the wings, it leaves the wing and creates no lift.

Nice video bud, keep it up! Also post this one of the Subreddit as well, might as well post the whole series as you go

Thanks! I did post this one on the subreddit, and it got 1 upvote total. Part 3 is overdue to come out. Getting the required footage for close air support has proved troublesome!

Cool series so far! On flat spin recovery, doesn't one also pitch down hard while applying zero throttle and full rudder against the spin?

I love sim battles, I can fly well but my problem is getting kills. I can aim but the only problem is I can't get enemies off my 6 a lot of the time and sometimes i tend to lose sight of an enemy if I turn too much or something. Any advice ?

If he's slower, run, if he's faster, slow down and try to get him to overshoot. Much easier said than done though.

I've played my first 4 battles ever of Warthunder using British planes in Arcade mode. Sometimes my engine just goes to 0%, I get a message about forcing my nose down, but whatever I do I end up gliding about for 2 minutes before having to land (always a bad crash no matter how gently I set down). How do I recover from this engine stall???

As a PS to the above, I won all 4 battles and would have twice as many kills (currently on 14) if my engine didn't just stop!

Early British fighters, especially the early models of Spitfires, had a type of engine carburetor called a "float carburetor" that, when there was negative Gs put on the airframe (by pushing the nose down), forced the engine's carburetor to flood with fuel and stall the engine. To avoid, always roll the aircraft so that the top of the cockpit points in the direction you want to turn (avoid negative Gs). If you do end up stalling the engine, you can restart it by leveling the plane and pushing the "I" key.

Why do I stall in a dogfight tho it’s anoying

You're more than likely going too slow or pulling too hard on the stick. If you're wildly maneuvering, it takes less to enter a stall as the aircraft is already in an unstable state. It's hard to give much more advice without more information.

@@kurdbender When the plane begins to shake, it means you are at the edge of a stall. Pulling any harder than that will likely result in a stall. Pulling to the point where the plane begins to shake but not stall is when you are getting the maximum amount of turning out of the plane.
