Cheers Jengar! This thing has massive potential to be an excellent ground grinding machine. Those MK 103s just rip through medium tanks and light pillboxes, with plenty of ammo to spare!

Yeah, i think it will be used in them rb tank/air battles. I just dont play tanks atm, and i cant bring myself to groundpound in a normal airbattle ;) goes against my instincts.

this thing is spectacular, especially as an energy fighter, just keep your speed high and the climb angle shallow. In arcade it is an air superiority fighter as long as you are above your opponent and never dog fight. High speed shallow dives and climbs, never surn hard, let the cannons do all the work.

i would agree with that morrie, its quiet nice as a fighter, in the support role, comming from the edges and helping teammates out.

I had to buy this one because 6 cannons. Probably it is going to be just another curiosity for the collection though. Still can't argue the firepower.

What makes it so great for the current Sim mode is that it is at BR4.3, so it can be spawned with no timer in the Br4.7-6.3 bracket. It's armament is utterly devastating and it has a lot of ammo. This is a fantastic thing, since all you need to take anything down after the 30mm buff is a single hit. It turns very well for a fighter it's size in sim. Not as good as a single engine fighter, but it's roll is sufficiently good that was successfully beating mustangs in scissors engagements. It's a jack of all trades. It can engage and destroy anything on the battlefield, but not as well as other dedicated platforms, but it also has a very long staying power, with its large ammo count relative to how much you need to acquire a kill.

Sounds pretty good indeed mate :) i i have to imagine it just doesnt fare too well against bearcan's and griffon spitfires ;) But i can imagine you can get a lot of initiall succes.

Great review as usual jengar. Can I ask what accent is it you have? Do you speak any other languages than English? I love your accent lmao

Thank you tom :) Its a dutch accent, i speak dutch, english, german, and a little bit of french.

For night battles I played one recently that was so dark that I couldn't see my plane at point blank range I actually had to fly my plane in cockpit mode to do the match.

i havnt seen that yet, and the chances to find such a match in this plane are small, and with the current features wont make a difference if you fight it out in a normal fighter or a nightfighter. would be nice if the minimap/radar worked as if it was daylight for the nightfighters in the game.

I have to agree, it is a very good looking aircraft. I always thought the He219 looked really futuristic. The thing is I'm just not a fan of heavy fighters (P38's aside) so I wont be rushing out to buy one of these any time soon. Even if it was in the regular tech tree I probably wouldn't bother. The thought of spading this thing to get it to a usable state makes me go cold. Still a very good review though...thanks for posting..:)

I agree I hate heavy fighters they just aren't the same as regular fighters, but the p38, I wouldn't really call it a heavy fighter, it's like the only twin engine regular fighter.

Yeah! the P38 isn't really a heavy fighter as such and it certainly doesn't play like one in game. That's probably why I like them...:)

Events may work for night fighters but the very nature of that kind of warfare might make for some long battles which could get tedious rather quickly. I'm sure Gaijan would have looked into making it work but still haven't come up with a workable solution. Would you really want to reduce the wonderful look of the game to a blip on a radar screen?.. Still it's a nice addition to the game in that it is a player created aircraft which may encourage others to create their own.

Will you take a look at the flight model changes? In particular Bf 109s. Fw 190s and the P-51Ds !?

N1K1 i think, probably the wyvern after, yak 30 might be next.

Fly it in Sim. It's as smooth as silk. Best purchase I have ever made. My only gripe is there is no cockpit modeled.

Strange, that the 219A-7 has a bad climb rate in the game. The real 219s could climb on one engine and go round for a landing twice so disabled, which in neither case any other German multi-engine could do.

Yes they can, i've heard some very positive feedback from my squadronmates about this thing in mixed battles.

You wouldnt happen to know what share of the money the users get do you? I want to buy it but I dont want to support Gaijin anymore. They suck as devs. But I wouldn't mind if about 60% of the money goes to the user who made the plane.
