Also something I think would add a LOT to the game is shell sounds. Incoming noises, ricochets, and away noises. That would be amazing.

PyrotechnicMailman yeah the sound of getting hit is just *doink* and doesnt sound powerfull at all. Getting hit by a 122mm however, that sound is still scary, but realistic sounds would be amazing.

Umm.. The shell fired in the intro is rotating the wrong direction.. The rifling shows it should be rotating counter clockwise when viewed from the front, not clockwise.. How could gaijin miss that on such a well done cinematic.

Riley Williams M36 Jackson is the Correct name. Slugger was a nickname used by some of the troops but the russian makers of this game and wot can't seem to get to get off of Slugger.

napojeje They didn't call it Jackson for quite a long time when they first added it. They didn't change it to Jackson until the community stayed on them long enough.

Wow I’m four years late but ‘Jackson’ was a nickname gained in Korea.

Love the Jackson/Slugger. Ever since WoT I've bought several models of it for my desk. Sits right next to my Jagdpanther RC, KV-1, and T-34-85. I'm still looking for an IS-2 model.

PhlyDaily I recently checked out your playlist "fan videos/montages". The videos are so damn cool and in my opinion more artistic. You added extra sounds and music and video effects and even veteran's comments. It would be cool if you could do videos like these again. 1 or 2 per month would be enough.

Love your videos man. Not too many youtubers with a voice I can stand. Basically, you, and Baron :P Probably already been told this, but I noticed several shots throughout the video where you likely would have landed the kill had you not been using the stock round, without HE filler. APCR for pen, APCBC any other time. Unless, of course, you're in a tank that doesn't have the option. The capped AP rounds work alright if you get all flank shots, where the crew is vulnerable to shrapnel, but not much from the front.

The "Slugger" name was given to it by the British troops due to its 90mm being able to punch through the front of a Tiger tank and knock it out at ranges of 1500m. The Jackson was the name given to it by the US Army after General Stonewall Jackson.

The M36 Slugger is also known as M36 Jackson

I found the best way in RB or SB to tell if a tank is already dead is to fire a MG burst into it. Saves on the main gun ammo and reload time.

I really like to use the binoculars in realistic battles, on default there is no button for them, but they really help spotting enemy tanks without turning the turret

hey Phly instead of using your tank aim reticule thing to sweep across the screen you should use your binos its more effective and efficient and you can aim your gun where the binos are pointed. better field of view to all you have to do is bind a key for it its also great for tank RB. hope that helps mate

Hey Phly, You should really use your binoculars. They make spotting in RB so much easier. Its great for hiding behind cover and looking over, since they give you a bit of extra elevation to your view. Awesome videos by the way.

That Mosin-Nagant is a good, solid rifle. I've got an M38 carbine, unfortunately with a bore like a sewer pipe. It doesn't shoot a group - it shoots a pattern!

this has to be the most fun tank ive used ever in WT. Love hunting and 1-shotting tigers, panthers, tiger 2's and IS1+2's! Ballistic cap shell is the only thing i use!

Tip for the slugger. Don't even bother using the t33 shot. Even tho it has more pen then the m82 just don't bother. It does soooo little damage. Just switch to apcr when you need better pen.

what is the exact name on the intro song? That damn play list you have linked is to damn long to sit through to try and find it, Ive tried.

DUDE...Number one rule of Realistic tanks is "Stay Still". Movement is how you get spotted, and if you keep moving there's always someone ready to put one in your turret as soon as you brake cover.

I need help with user download skins. I have downloaded the template off of the game for the corresponding plane/tank, then moved the downloaded skin into the root folder. When I re enter the game, it registers that there's a skin there and I can select it, but it only shows the default camo in the game and hanger. Is there something I missed, or what?

Actually, I recently read that the Slugger is a different variant/model of the m36. So it isn't exactly a jackson.

The umlaut (the dots above the U) only mean that there an 'e' directly after the 'u' so the German spelling is 'Hürtgen' but can be spelled 'Huertgen' too. The second spelling is not wrong but it is less correct than the first one, if that makes any sense. so the pronunciation would be something like "Hurt-gen" with the guttural 'g'. I hope this helps, sorry if it is difficult to understand, English is not my first language.

it seems that the normal AP sucks, and the APHE is the best ammo for this. unless facing VERY heavy armor of course, then AP or APCR can be better

Don't use the plain AP rounds unless you have to, the APHE are much better and you have the APCR for when you need extra penetration at the cost of damage
