@@HenriFaust my in game name is mc_dumble i play usually with over a 60% wr, iv played over 9000 games less than 20 mins in a bomber a little more in attackers and 90% in fighters . i have given u my ingame name so you can see for yourself . every situation is different and is all mostly skill and experience and feeling . watching the enemy to see if they know what there doing . so yeah i stand by this comment

In my situation I always try to save my teammates, and once a K4 trying to kill a P51H was getting shit on by an A7M2 and I came to help, killing the A7M. Buddy got slightly damaged and came back to team kill me lmao

My friend likes to do that. So I like to fly right above him, turn straight down and chop his propeller off.

I remember one war thunder youtuber Green fury i think he was who reviewed clips of people's matches who wanted to improve. He pointed out what they were doing right,what wrong and what they could have done and what did they do to get then killed in that match. I think a series like that would be a very good way to teach players.

I don't study engineering, i don't live anywhere near Amsterdam nor is the pandemic bad over here right now And no i don't have an interest in reviewing clips anymore I did an episode, but it's 90% of people sending me there high kill games to flex. Even when half of them aren't good games. Makes it a waste of time for me

I don't know if I missed it, but think you didn't point out my personal biggest pet peve when helping people, people getting chased by a slower plane that is outside gun range, I dive in to help them in a brick of a plane, and *just* before I get within gun range myself they figure now is the time to start turning hard, having the enemy follow, and effectively making them dodge me without possibly even having seen me in the first place.

I don't want to sound arrogant but what I've learned from the years of playing the game is the fact that you should never ever rely on your team or blame it. Actually you play as the third side of the conflict. And the help from blue is a welcome surprise but not something you'd take as granted.

1:11. I really hope people actually learn from those tips. there were countless times where there were dangerous planes at high alt which are the biggest threat in the long run but no. team decides a 288 at 2km alt is the best target they could all dogpile on.

It's a fucking joke in my team. Anytime my team chases 288 they get gunned down to either half of chasers are dead and the other half are crippled and behind enemy lines. And if my team ignores them they win the game by being a proper gunship

Unfortunately the grind, especially for SL at higher tiers, is the culprit here. I've been playing wt for a long time now. I know for a fact winning the game is the best way to grind in theory, but since all I take out most of the time is my premium Sabre, to grind SL, I often find myself going after low altitude bombers at the start of the match, get killed, and start a new match asap. It sucks but I actually earn more SL per unit time playing this way. I much prefer Sim because enduring confrontation is, imo, a much better game type than rb air, just can't make as much SL in Sim because the repair cost is 5 times higher than rb. It's sad really, WT has so much potential but unfortunately we have the same game types for years, which, frankly suck. In order to grind more and more in the shitty game type that is air rb. I so wish air rb was enduring confrontation, but unfortunately I don't think most of the player base likes EC.

Another thing I'd suggest highlighting: don't go in on a target at the same time. If you and a teammate are BnZ a fighter, go in turns. This guarantees a kill; while they are slow and in a turn to avoid your teammate they won't be in a position to either: avoid you, get guns on your teammate, or get guns on you after your pass, because if you miss your teammate will likely be in another pass. Can't tell you how many fighters I've killed cause they came after me at the same time.

Rewatched this again. Thanks for the detailed situation analyses and taking the time to share these by the way, I apply these without thinking now, and add more situations and variables in my head as I go about killing or dying.

I do believe in a very important note defyn said. Adaptability. There are numerous scenarios and its very important to adapt to every situation

One of the best explanations I have ever seen (at least for me). The sketches helped immense understanding the situation. I have also noticed that you used flaps very often in turn fights when you have more energy than the opponent. Thank you for your videos which i am currently digging through. I am a medicore/good CAS pilot but bad in air RB dogfights. You tutuorials will help to improve even if i struggel all the time in estimating enemy plane capabilities. THANKS!

Great video!! I play ground forces realistic. When I approach the battle space in an aircraft I climb and look toward their spawn. I look for the dots of other aircraft. I also look down to the actual battle ground and note the aircraft in a dive or climbing out. Once I have a snap shot I decide how I’m going to attack. So let’s say there are 2 aircraft diving strafing and climbing and one coming in from the spawn. The one inbound is who I watch closely. I don’t fly into the battle space but I skirt it (Also keeping tabs on the 2 strafing). If the guy coming from the spawn is heading in my direction I’ll climb some more and try to keep my E up. If he also dives in I look at all three and look at wing positions and direction they are flying. Many time you can get two with the proper timing. Once I attack I WEP out and extend and climb back to altitude. I call this my reset. Also I do not push a bad position. If I don’t have a good alignment I disengage and power out. Many times I push a bad position and crash or lose so much E I get crushed.

34:35 thank you. I've been trying to tell this to people, specially in jets. They're flying low on the deck, and beg for help. Then they fly directly under me, which is the best defensive maneuver AGAINST me. And then they complain that I didn't help them. And it's even worse at top tier, where I could have missiled em had they turned the other way...

How do I dogfight a cl13A ai, I always seem to be ramming them because of there erratic turning.

you can apply this target priority even to tanks... imagine you kill the wrong one first and it also makes boom

while I may in some cases disagree on execution, the reasoning makes perfect sense to me. Problem is, many of your advice and the points you make imply that your team would make a reasonable choice and that you may expect them to behave in certain way - when it simply isn't the case. Entire team engaging easy - nay, even helpless targets,- while exposing themselves to enemy escorts is an undying classics of both AB and RB - and the harm of it should be self evident! Or friendlies running to the map's border while screaming for help - I mean, do you seriously expect me to play catch with you and whoever tails you? Turn to me, then I'll help...this understanding should be basic knowledge, without which people shouldn't be allowed to play above rank II... Anyhoo, I've come here in hopes of learning something new - and while I didn't I was reinforced in my understanding ;) I wish you well and I thank you for your effort in sharing the knowledge that's supposed to be hard earned. If only more people watched it and made use of it)

from myself I'd like to add that target prioritization takes yet another form in jet AB, where you actually have access to information on enemy team setup. Who has AAMs, who has only one aircraft and won't come back once killed et cetera - takes like 5 to 10 seconds to browse the list in the beginning and I can already predict the outcome before anyone spawns. Yet, I regularly see people ignoring that one jet lobbing missiles from stratosphere instead of shutting him up once and for all...

So definitely go after the lead guy 2 allies are chasing 😂🍻

How are they invisible? Because I doubt they were. I see this complaint a lot but the missiles are easily visible when launched.

im a noob but when someone is on my teammates tail while he is attacking another plane i always go for the rear one to try and save him and because im a noob he still ends up dying but getting the kill for the front one

Is the following a reasonable assessment? It seems that also having good crews is essential. If you're not particularly good at aiming and maneuvering , then you can get some help by having better crew skills. Having a maxed-out crew (Crew Level 75) who are Aces will help a lot, particularly in keeping your bombers going and defending themselves. But grinding XP points will take you forever. If you're fairly decent at playing, then you could earn, say 25 to 50 XP points per game, per crew. But you need 33,881 XP points to get to Crew Level 75! That would take you somewhere between 700 and 1400 games to achieve. Per crew! You need to throw money at it... Unless you're 14 and spend eight hours a day, every day on this game and are quite happy to grind.

Crews are definitely very important Without premium or premium planes its basically not grindable. Just try to only use 1 air crew per nation

But doing that objective barely helps wins the match. Killing other planes and ground attacking is much more useful than bombing bases.

@@newyorkpersnssnssnsnsn depends on the map too If "destroy all bomb targets" Isn't on list of objectives, that 4 man squad of strategic bombers is gonna be ultra useless and a huge liability, but on other maps, they may even kill your airfield if your team didn't have any good interceptors.

On maps with bases and airfileds in RB 3 or 4 bombers can win without downing a fighter in minutes. Especially on low tier with 3 f22222222222s. 52 100lbers a piece. Each base takes 6-8 100lbs then 35+ 100lbs for airfield. Easy peasy.....

Just flying straight and then pressing Spacebar from time to time is kinda boring :/ and when a fighter dives on you, it's just game over, no defensive turrets will save you. And their repair cost is ridiculous.
