Brilliant - best laugh I've had in ages. Reminded me of something that could have come from Michael Palins 1970s Ripping Yarns series. Definitely more entertaining than the BBC or Hollywood versions.

I just like how a tripod was beside the crash of the airship and was trying to run away but got hit

It has like a 1950 sci fi movie style because the editing looks so weird, that makes it gold.

Yes, they are described as big, greyish bulks, with 16 tentacles and a V-shaped mouth. And, also for the Tripods. Tri-pods. They have three legs, not two !

I doubt there are any rendering and animation tools for cephlapods and tripods. They were working with the tools they had.

Is it me or the Artillery fire is the equivalent of the aim of a storm trooper from star wars?

The cgi compositing is alright but what makes it look weird is that the framerate is too high for the “”””tripods”””” and low for the real life footage Speaking of the “””””tripods””””” , why the hell are the tripods bipedal?? They look odd without a third leg.

Hi Golden Man. Thanks for your interest, but unfortunately I don't have any tutorial materials available. Basically, the live action was filmed in front of a green screen in my garage, then composited in HitFilm Pro (which is free to download). The Martians and the machines were created and animated in Poser 5, and the particle effects (smoke, explosions, etc) were added using Particle Illusions (which is currently free to download from Boris FX). The backgrounds are mostly just photos that I grab off the internet. Same for sound effects. Basically, the only cost to produce this was the costumes, which ran about $100. Hope this helps...
