Thanks for showing us inside this one! I haven't read it but saw it at the LCS. I've heard mixed things about it but man does it have some cool art.

Color variation can happen depending on ink levels at the time of the printing process.

i missed out the first time. glad it was reprinted!

Thor is my favorite character so this was a must buy for me. I remember I went online to order it like the day after it was released and it was nowhere to be found. I made sure to pre-order the reprint this time around.

Key series and tie ins should be included within the main series..

I’ve never read War of the Realms so I had to pick it up. I ended up getting the Adams DM cover. I love how the map wraps around the book. Maps always make me think Conan. Thx for another great overview.

I knew I had this Adams DM variant cover, it came out back in 2020. They release 2 covers for the omnibus and of course I picked the Adams cover. I know this is a reprint. The cover is amazing and it’s a great read.

You were more forgiving of the order of the issues in previous review :) lol .. infact said it's good to not keep tiein in middle.. but i totally agree to the mmiddleground point you mentioned ... that atleast few important tie-ins should be in the middle rather than in the back.... thanks as always for your detailed reviews

These event omnibus, I feel the same about the order of the stories where some could trickle in more. Some mini series, I can tell they're not as involved and can be at the end of the book. But I get that... with so many tie-ins, it can be easy to forget what happens, imo.

If it were up to me I would just put the book in order of how they cam out, the story flows and your not having to go back and forth. if your up for it I know people would love a jason aaron thor run in order star to finish, it can be confusing at time

Omar! Brother… between this video and the old review of the first printing, I feel like I’ve watched this 30 times! lol. I can’t decide if I want to get this. I read the first 20 issues of Aaron’s Thor digitally and knew I wanted to get it in Omni format. Any inclination at all, if the main event here will be collected in volume 2?! If not, I want to make sure I get this before it goes out of print.

With Thor Jason Aaron Vol 2 on the horizon, is it worth double dipping with this?

Will this have a lot of double dipping with the second Aaron Thor omnibus? Or will they fit together like a puzzle?

My guess is that they'll do what they are doing with Donny Cates's Venomnibus and just have the main event issues integrated.

If you had the funds to do so and really needed it to complete your reading experience. You did well in my book. Especially considering how crazy quick the 1st print sold out. I've seen it go for almost $500 on 3rd market but totally understand how you feel about it. Just hope you enjoy the story my 1st Marvel event to complete in OHC. I was blind to the run and enjoyed it, I can pretend I didn't read this and grab the whole run in the Thor omnis as they come out

I’m 100% with you on the mapping problem. Some of the tie-ins were self-contained stories, but some of them impacted the main story and should have been integrated. The first time I read this was when I bought the first printing of the Omni and it bugged me when the main story referenced a tie-in I hadn’t read yet

Safe to say this is similar in mapping to World War Hulk re: the tie-ins? That one was paced really funky.

@@balkthor Yep same problem there. I agree with Omar that the Flashpoint omni overdid it a bit, but I prefer that to having them all in the back. At least with Flashpoint you could just skip the ones you weren’t interested in and stay with the timeline

probably a solid 6, very possible as they're putting Donny Cates minis in his omnibus, but then again Marvel could also leave it out to boost the sales of this omnibus

Let's hope you are right guys! The Venomnibus by Cates surely sets a precedent.

It's definitely a catch 22 situation. I'm also in the same boat since I don't know if I should get this omni or risk skipping it in hope for its inclusion in a later Thor omni. I could certainly do with skipping it since there are so many releases over the next few weeks...... Anyone else getting defects in theirs? I've gotten 2 from organicpricedbooks and both have the same issue of pages not being cut properly/melded. Not blaming JP and the people at OPB cause they're great but this is clearly a manufacturing issue

Umm... "Bit"- Frost Bridge? I thought I heard wrong until you said it 3 more times in quick succession.

1) this is all from the event yes 2) this is the payoff of years of Aaron on Thor. Get something like his Thor volume 1 instead.

I always get war of realms confused with war of kings. I bought this omni thinking it was war of kings which I want really bad.

I may sound silly; I only started collecting 2015, and had a lot of pre-secret wars titles to collect. But what and when was that arc? And would you recommend it

I understand your point of view when you said there are too many in between of the main ARC, however I rather to have all OMNIBUS having all related histories on it, and getting thicker as possible, that's why it's call OMNI, it supposed to cover the most of any history/Arc event corelated if not everything. I don't have the facility of getting monthly comics, and this is the Best way to catch up with some comics that I might never be able to get. I just hope MARVEL keeps filling up all the OMNIBUSes as much as they can, I love having the background histories of what happened with other heroes while the main event is happening. It makes it a better book. More completely. Thanks again for another great review

In terms of mapping, I completely agree - I would have the main series and the most key tie-ins interspersed, and then a lot of the more minor tie-ins kept separate after the main piece. Perhaps have a reading order, for those who want to go that route, but, that's how I'd do it. I haven't read Infinity War since it was first out, but recall Silver Surfer and Doctor Strange being pretty key, everything else was 'nice to have'. 😁

One of my favorite Thor stories is Aaron's God Butcher tale but I haven't liked anything he's done since with the character. A pass for me.

I hate that you don't talk enough about how the bindings are... has Marvel not allowed you to speak about this or what? Big expensive book I would like to know how the binding is first and foremost in my reviews. Sometimes they can be garbage.

Is this a good event, or is it too "woke"?
