Do you have any issus with burning the oil, because the oil Level is Higher than the Return Line? Thx from germany

No ours seemed to be ok with it, the only issues we had were headgaskets, if turbocharging a M111 from experience I always recommend a MLS headgasket from Stern Garage these guys also now the M111 engine very well and supply a few parts for tuning. I worked out theoretically that BMW S14b23 ARP headstuds should also fit but I'm yet to try these.

what do you think about draining the oil into the oil dipstick opening?

Some people do that but I'm not sure how well it works, I always like to have a designated Turbo drain into the sump. But if it flows back to the sump free enough with out backing up in the return line it could work. However I can't say for sure cause I have never done this myself.

I'm in the process of doing this and wondering how does it return properly? When I fill sump up with 5L of oil it's to full for the return to work to the sump as it needs to drip in ? Do u put a full 5L in sump or less?

Is there a size fitting that is threaded we can use? AN fitting I mean

Search on eBay for Mamba oil drain the only ones I would recommend are mamba buddy as they don't come apart and are stainless steel not aluminium 🙂👍

@@medievilassassin that's what we use never had an issue dude don't leak either and very strong.

Know it’s an old video and I think you said you got rid of engine. But did you ever take the pan off with it still on the car?

Yes we did it with the engine in the car, but I admit it's a awkward job and requires either a engine hoist or an engine brace. You basically have to undo the engine mounts raise the engine slightly to give you the room to slide the pan off and on. 🙂

@@djhairtriqz2084 I think a jack under it will just get in the way anyway dude, on the engine there should be two hoist points. There's one on the right rear of the engine it's like a metal plate with a hole in next to the cam cover towards the back above the intake, there's another at the front but off the top of my head I can't remember where the front one is. Tomorrow I can do a shorts clip showing where they are if that helps 👍

Good question I shall see if Ben can get me some video of it but basically on the exhaust side of the block, there is a threaded port I believe is blocked off normally I'll ask what threads they were as I've forgotten but we had a custom feed line made up

As in gaskets for the fittings do you mean for the feed and return? We bought a oil feed kit off eBay that came with them, but we had a custom feed line made. As for the return fitting that came with all the seals required. If you can't find what you need you could get some Gasket paper easily available on eBay or Amazon, that way you can make your own gaskets if needed. But the mamba fitting comes with everything required.👍
