The shield launching skill is insane

The close quarters assault boost style is so fun to watch. If you're up against it though, what tips can you give so that you can have a fighting chance against it?

Wait for them to get close and obliterate them with a charged pile bunker. I've been running dual smgs can't remember what they're called with dual sweet sixteens and assault boosting and that's the best counter I've seen anyone get me with

Currently, I can refer to 2 styles that can counter the assault boost focused AC ( Except the last AC build of the video ) 1. GRIDWALKER + Coral Shield (or VP shield) + 2x Rifle + Trueno (or AURORA): The vertical maneuver doesn’t require frequent quickboosts, so the heat from the Coral Shield can be managed. Alternatively, you can still use a VP 0.6 shield. The vertical maneuver will make the assault boost difficult. It’s essentially taking advantage of EN management. However, if someone is good at EN management against vertical maneuver, the counter tactics may not work well. 2. Melee: If you use melee, you can counter close-range weapons like shotguns. The melee attack will force the close-range based AC to be defensive. This will cause the shotgun user to kite against the melee user. So, if you see someone complaining about a kiting user while they're using a shotgun, you can use a melee weapon against them and make them appear as if they are kiting themselves. However, if the close-ranged weapon AC is kiting well, the melee may not work as a countermeasure. 3. No counter for Heavy Assault Boost AC: The last AC build currently has no counter. It is a well-known type of build, and even a tournament winner has demonstrated its exceptional potential. I see that this AC build is one of the finest and most flawless AC builds at the moment.

Reminds me of For Answer but more "realistic" (the pilots would still likely be turned into goop by the g forces)

Watching Japanese PvP hits different. The overall playstyle is so different, and the connection always being low ping means it almost looks like LAN with no latency. The game plays much smoother for you conpared to me always having 200 ping to everyone I try.

The way you use the AB is wild. I’ve been trying it out the last couple days and have been struggling with positioning myself. Always either run into them or make a bad move that ruins my momentum and gets me punished. Still practicing though because this play style is super fun.

I learnt this abqb technique and started utiluzing it, went from A2 losing streak to A4 without losing more than 3 matches, like 40 straight wins, it rly changes everything

Recently tried adopting the AB style with energy shotguns. Still learning, but we will get there. Unfortunately, hard to find games in Oceania, plus high ping makes it difficult.

I don't have the patience to get this good honestly. I really wanted to be good at it, but I get shit on a lot.

When I hear people say "Quick turn isn't viable", I want them to see 3:30 and understand why it is

I'm guessing the constant assault boosting is to outpace the aim of the other player so they don't get shot.

This is verry interesting! Im curious how well this strat whould work on a reverse joint build (specificaly Kasuar) how whould you go about adapting this build for a light weight RJ ?

How do you manage against heavier tank builds? I've been finding a decent amount of success against LW/MW but I find that I really struggle against HW that have much more firepower and have much more room for mistakes.

I think you have to be similarly heavy against heavy tank if you want to go close quater, or else you have to maintain your range and height difference (or even play missile hit & run) if you are relatively light.
