Nimbus 25 is the softest shoe I have tried on. If I was on my feet all day for work that’s the shoe for sure. But too soft for me to run in as I fight the sink in on landing. Cumulus is “bread and butter” daily trainer as you say. For what it is it’s a really good shoe. Compared to the Pegasus, Ride, Ghost, or NB880 the Cumulus 25 is my pick of the bunch

I'm glad to see Fordy admit that looks are important in shoes. In fact, it's probably the most important attribute of the shoe. I actually prefer the Yeezy-esque styling of the Nimbus. All running shoes get the job done, might as well do it in style.

Most Asics are going to outlive me so will be interesting to see how these wear. Would be surprised to see them release something with so much exposed foam if it's going to shred. Loom forward to updates 😀👍

It was released in Sweden two weeks ago. The black and all out white color way has been (and still is) 30% off since day one. Pretty good deal. I bought one of each 😊 BTW, new version of Novablast 3, LE version is 45% off in the Blue/Orange color way. Guess we are lucky in 🇸🇪

And as feedback, I think it felt firmer than I expected, but now after 50 miles I would say it has opened up a bit. I still prefer Nimbus 25 on one side and Novablast 3 on the other side, but if you only need one shoe I would go Cumulus 25. And BTW, I’m doing quite a lot of running on gravel and the exposed foam on the midsole has been holding up great. And a big plus, outsole is not picking up any rocks that has been an issue on many running shoe’s lately.

Good video as always cheers. Pronunciation as you say is que-mulous, like a pool cue. Both Cumulous and Nimbus are types of cloud - Nimbus with a lot of rain.

Cumulus for easy runs, Nimbus for walking and standing long periods of time at work. Both will work for recovery days.

Asics has not only started innovating their bums off ....but they are also making some of the coolest looking designs these days imho. Asics has to be given credit for seriously re-inventing themselves

Its not a shoe i need in my rotation, at the moment. But loving how Asics are improving their line up,, now tempted to try out a sky plus

I might buy this one as GTX version at the running store today or the version from last year (24) since it's on sale. 🥳 We'll see what the podiatrist and running analysis will bring me. It's between ASICS, Saucony and Mizuno for me. But I'm also a bit scared to go for Mizino again cause the Mizuno Stability shoe (Wave Paradox 5) gave me back pains, pain on the side of my foot and shin splints after thirteen months of use. This is pretty strange cause I do need stability. I overpronate to the outside. 🥴

Ordered the cumulus 25 TR to compliment my nimbus 25 road shoes will be interesting to compare the 2.

Finally bit the bullet and ordered a pair of Saucony Endorphin Pro3 which I hope to use at the Hackney 1/2 - SportsShoes have them (and lots of others) at 25% off at the moment - took the price down to around £155!

I have the Nimbus 24 but there is not enough midsole in the forefoot and the energy return is minimal. Does the Cumulus have MORE midsole then the Nimbus 24? (Nimbus 25 heavy..).

I had the cumulus 23 (gave it away) and now 24, but the 25 looks really different..looks like the younger cousin of the new nimbus 25.

I bought the Nimbus 22 2 years ago. Sold it again after 20 km. This one looks interesting, though

I think they should make it a low drop shoe... with nimbus and novablast has not much space and there's almost no daily trainer with less than 7mm

Which one would you say is suitable for travel and walking long distances every day during trips?

Got version 24 and it was a big improvement on 23 . This new version has had so many updates is it really still a Cumulus perhaps they should have renamed it.

Which do you reckon would be better for long (10-15km) walks on paved surfaces at a fast pace - Gel-Cumulus 25 or NB 1080v12? Thanks.

As a beginner, often fighting Achilles problems, which one would you recommend better ? I’m only run between 5-10 km.. most often on the shorter side 😅

Shame about the upper being warm, I was hoping this would be more breathable for hotter months when the nimbus will be a bit much, but nevermind the novablast 3 is nice and airy!

Ive read the flyte foam in the Cumulus is a bit dead because the foam is made from recycled material? Is it responsive?

How does it compare to the Ride 15/16?? Seems like a good comparison

The Come You Less is one of the better running shoes but just for walking. That's what I bought mine for anyway. Better than the Nimbus 25 and Invincible Run 3.

This shoe vs puma velocity Nitro which one is better overall and also which one is more responsive ??

I tried the nimbus 25 on store and could not find a size that fits me, its either too big or my nails would hit the front, they didnt have the novablast 3 is the sizing any different?

Got no idea why but my feet and Asics just don’t work out. Glide Ride 1, Nova Blast 1, Trabuco Max 2, Nimbus 25. TTS too small, 1/2 size up too large and they just don’t feel right. Go figure! Plenty of other brands of course But frustrating all the same.

Thanks for the impressions! Which Asics shoe do you think would hold up better in later miles in terms of cushioning? cumulus 25 or Evoride speed? I'm very sensitive to shoes bottoming out after 10k.

Simply Fordy, whether people like it or not, Pegasus is the market leader daily trainer. Even YTbers benefit from Pegasus reviews, as often they rack up the most views and revenue. But....this Cumulus is superior to Peg and is, possibly, the VERY BEST DAILY TRAINER....maybe Puma Velocity 2 and Saucony Ride close seconds, all superior to Pegs.

Sorry, but I'm confused didn't you just say the other night that the Skechers Go Run whatever version 5 was more comfortable than the Asics Nimbus cumulus. And during this one you say that the Nimbus is more comfortable than the cumulus. I understand that you get most of your money from Skechers so that's easy to see how you would say that. But now you're pretty much reversing. Is this some form of extortion to get more money out of asics? What's really going on because you're contradicting yourself left and right. Also, you might Research into how to pronounce the word cumulus? Pretty sure you don't have that right. And don't get me wrong, I love your program. But I must call a spade a spade when I see it.

Let’s clear a few things up… To correct you I have said the nimbus 25 is the most comfortable shoe I have and the only other shoe as comfortable are my maxroad 6 (not 5) With regards to your inaccurate statement about my income from Skechers they don’t pay me to make videos. They sponsor the podcast which are two separate things. I’m not a Skechers athlete which I’ve said several times and in countless disclaimers. I think I apologise for pronouncing the shoe wrong. Reversing? I think maybe you have a few things mixed up which hopefully I have corrected. You reference extortion which is offensive.
