You've got to love Sir Jimmy Wanjigi! The man has a sense of humor and at the same time, he is a realist. He definitely has done his homework on the subject matter that he is talking about.

Jimmy Wanjigi is very informed when it comes to finance, I’ve already gotten a migraine headache to imagine that the government is borrowing and the money ending in a few pockets, very sad and that’s why Kenya and Africa will never prosper with these corrupt leaders.People we’re bashing Kibaki administration then cause everyone had money in their pockets except the lazy ones now they keep on remembering him. That’s the Kikuyu cow that’s being praised for lots of milk long after its dead.Very sad that the electorates fault, I once told them on social media the mistake they were doing by electing Uhuruto😢

So what we are getting to understand is that the SGR from Coast to Kanairo was done at 6 times the amount Wanjigi would have done the entire thing from Coast To Kenya-Uganda border. Plus we normally have two budgets, one presented to the public, and one that is used for siphoning money in the back seat. Kenya needs serious redemption. Debt is not necessarily a bad thing. Money when borrowed can improve infrastructure and spur development. But it has to be planned and the potential for growth assessed. For example in a country like Myanmar with barely any industries, borrowing money to build wide roads is a foolish thing to do, but countries like Nigeria, India, Mexico can benefit from better infrastructure. Hard to say if Kenya belongs to the first or second set of countries.

Debt of any nature is a necessary evil to a low level industrial park country which does not generate enough income and wealth to even provide the basic needs to its citizens. Nigeria is also suffering from unmanageable debts regardless of the available oil resource! There is no a “well planned debt” like you would want to tell the audience here! Mr. Evil, you seem not to understand what debt is all about and how it affects the growth, development and wealth of a nation. Kenya will soon collapse if the current debt levels are not properly managed and controlled. Ruto seems to a debt happy type of a guy as he robs Paul to pay Susie across the street! Only an ordinary layman of your caliber would simplistically assume that being in debt is a fashionable enterprise! This is how a good show just dies. The second it entertains incompetence more than once. . . ."Huge Red Flag" Sincerity doesn't trust twice. How media entrusts it's national reach microphone to a mindset that faults Uhuru's 8.66T working debt and growing GDP from 4% to 12.8%+, equating it to Ruto's failures is BONOKO THINKING. He said it then and now again that he saw promise in Ruto. What kind of competent sincerity still says, to this day that he or she saw promise in Ruto and his UDA. Ruto is not copying Uhuru - he is destroying everything Kibaki and Uhuru created.

As much as we live this guy, on the debt, we have maturing debt which we cannot repay meaning we must borrow to repay that perhaps explains the difference in the stated borrowing in budget and what treasury declares in the exchequer statement.

Tuliambiwa we are anti development we said the cost and strategy of SGR was flawed tukaabiwa we are online experts. Sasa people are crying but its too late u are not even feeling half the pain. Kenya needs to double its current taxes just to break even. Our kids will be the ones to solve this problem

if interest on debt is 10% of 9 trillion then the government over 10 years has repaid at least 7 trillion on interest only.hence the 6.4 trillion difference.but the local bonds/bills will be screwed over time no doubt, either by inflation or default.
